i have to say i am not very excited about season 11 as far as i can see it will be another rep to grind and a new admiral doff ing system and 2 new stfs and badlands battle zone no mention of any new episodes seems season 11 could be one of the weakest seasons so far
what do you guys think

You're wrong and obviously can't read. There are episodes. And quit complaining about grind, EVERY MMO HAS IT!
I'm on vacation this week.

Mind, I will likely enjoy the new ship doffing and will take advantage of it as well as the new Battlezone.
But I'm amazed that they seem to have dropped new specializations (one should have shipped with this season along with ships to take advantage of it). Overall this one seems to be very weak compared to what we were given with Delta Rising and LoR before that. More of a mid-season update than a real one.
And nothing of the update speaks directly to it's supposed theme of exploration.
Not really excited. I think perhaps this might be the most depressing Season since launch. Then again not a full season since last one was 10.5. This should be called Season 10.75
I was positively giddy about Delta Rising...... until I hit the first bloated bag of HP. I think it was infected space about 5 minutes after we got online last October.
Interestingly if conditions now were like they were back then DR would have been a grand slam. It shouldn't have been tuned to 1 year from now powercreep. 2 months at most.
But yeah I am excited for season 11. Hope springs or does it float?

There isn't really a lot of content that can keep me playing. Logging in to do some daily clicks sure nut not playing.
Both new queues are fun but ground one gonna be unpugabble so i won't touch it prolly.
New rep has some interesting toys i'd like take a look at but nothing i really want here and now. Battlezone is a refreshing change not only cuz its a new source of dil and marks but also cuz it provides a good xp. Other than that its prety much a copypasta of undine BZ on a smaller map so at least it will be a bit more action packed since we wont have to fly between spots for too long. Admirality system give some really good rewards (r&d resources, spec xp and dil) and you dont have to fly all over the sector space system so while i can't say its a lot of fun (there's actually none unless you enjoy the sound of mouse clicks) i certainly gonna use it a lot unlike doff system.
Why exactly does a new season have to have a new specialization? I don't see what is so bad about Command anyway. I rather like the abilities. Plus, some of my favorite T6 ships are Command specialization ships.
How is Season 11 not a full season?
Do we have new episodes on the way? Yes. From what I hear, 1 new one at the start followed by 1 every month or so like the Iconian war series, plus a revamped Cardassian storyline that better connects the subplot of season 11 with the mirror universe.
Do we have a new reputation? Yes. Terran Invasion.
Do we have new queues? Yes. Counterpoint and Assault on Terok Nor, both mirror reputation tied.
Do we have a new battlezone? Yes. Badlands Battlezone (Has the feel of the Undine zone, but less spread out)
Do we have a new system coming? Yes. From what I understand, the Admirality system is going to help ease the amount of grind people will have to do for specialization points. Yes, it's doffing with ships, but I feel the Admirality system rewards better.
edit - Actually I am a little excited about a new battlezone. The admiralty system though is a real turn off.
Depends on what ya ate the day before.

Irrelevant comparison. No matter what they might say, SWTOR is not a free 2 play game. Yes, it has a heavily gimped out 'free' mode that totally sucks, but in order to actually enjoy SWTOR you have to subscribe. For that reason alone, I don't compare it directly to STO.
As for Season 11, I'm actually looking forward to everything except the 'Admiralty System.' I think that part is a very bad idea and just caters too much to those that spend hundreds of dollars on ships. For people like me who buy a couple ships a year I don't see this system being very accessible to me.
I actually think the new Battle Zone sounds pretty cool. Personally, I love space battle zones, I have probably spent more time in the Undine Zone then anywhere else in this game.
Not super excited, no.
But, somewhat intrigued I guess...
but, maybe the new escorts will be appealing.
Not a fan of the Mirror Universe either, but the Admirality system might be fun enough. Also, it is likely to bring the new Tier 6 Defiant and B'Rel closer to us. And I am much in favour of that.
So in other words, to you nothing is better than something?
Most unexpectedly, this turned into a flame-fest! Closed it goes!. /sigh What flamefestery is this? pwlaughingtrendy
No, nothing new enough to get me excited.
To be fair though, we know little about what the story line missions will entail.
I'm going to wait until I play through some of the new content before forming an opinion. Overall though, the game is an 'action' game so it should be expected that new content will include things like Battle zones and other forms of warfare.
I enjoy exploration too, but lets be honest.. the game would be pretty boring without anything to fight against. Just flying through space and reading dialogue would get old pretty fast.
Honestly? I think making us admirals at all was the mistake. Every last one of us ought to be captains. Move us around on a fake 'seniority list', but otherwise, leave us at Lt until level 20 or so, lt.cdr until 40, commander until 50, and then captain after that.
And the power creep marches on...

Second, yeah, I'm interested. New story content gives me something fun to actually do with the stuff I've grinded (ground?) for. And for whatever flaws it may have, the Admiralty system appears to be a new method of idly earning XP; the idleness may not be ideal, but it will translate to less grinding for XP. New reps have something like a 30/70 chance of having neat new rewards at the end (like free playable Remans and free VR Voth BOff), and it feels like we're due for such an inclusion; even without something 'extra,' it'll be a chance for another dilithium windfall, and if I don't like the queues (and both look interesting to me), the next Crystaline or Shuttle Event will provide the marks. The Cardassian Revamp is a nice touch; I always play revamped arcs, and I don't think I've ever been disappointed with them afterward.
Seasons used to introduce new tech, and gateways to new tech in missions, where seasons basically only introduce new missions (and perhaps some sectors).
For me, the seasons used to be more exciting than the expansions, but now both feel equally bland.
