Mostly likely... a free version of the Oddy/Bortasqu/Scimitar(?) for the 50th anniversary. At least that's what it smells like.

Now that I think about it, I'm hoping the T6 Odyssey and the accompanying Bortas and Scimitar will have a Universal Specialist Hybrid seat or two. If they never include such a seat again in-game, they should at least make it available on the Flagships.

That way, they will be compatible with current and future Specializations. Just upgrade the Lt.Cmdr Universal to Lt.Cmdr Universal/UniSpec and the Ensign Uni to Lt. Universal/UniSpec, and it would be perfect for the Flagships. It won't be OP (except for Scimitar, but Romulans will need whatever decent ship they can get) since none of them will be able to access SS3 or other Commander level Specialist skills, but they will be potent enough as befitting a Flagship.

And while they're at it, they should really consider cutting the Scimitar's Thalaron Pulse charge time from 14 seconds down to 7 seconds; the same as the Tholian Tarantula's Web Cannon and the Elachi S'Golth's Disruptor Wave Cannon, and give the Scimitar a Romulan visual. Instead of it being Reman Angular, we can get Romulan Sleek. Still would be massive and still split the wings into a claw-like shape when firing the Thalaron Pulse, but it would simply now have a Romulan aesthetic, for those OCD about the Reman design serving as a Romulan Flagship.

For the Odyssey, here's hoping they allow both the Aquarius and saucer to separate at the same time.

For the Bortas, here's hoping they offer a Nausicaan skin and an Orion visual for Eng and Sci. Or Gorn and Lethean. The Tac variant would stay Klingon in design.

I think they are generally satisfied with the Current T5 oddy...

While they may want to ride the wave they've begun with the canon upgrades, somehow I find it more likely they wantt to wait with the oddy for a T7 upgrade.

It can't be that long (maybe a year) before we start seeing the first signs of T7 ships.

Well it's only a matter of time... After all... 2 years ago, I was making the same comment about T6 ships... And oh look... T6 Fleet ships...

I'd say the T6 is on its way soon, I'm not convinced that they would do that as a free grind ship though

I think they'll do a T6 oddy/bortas/and with luck scimitar for the 50th anniversary and they'll sell 3 improved and specialized versions.

I don't think that the T5-U scimitar is just +1 seating position and hybrid options away from ULTIMATE DOOM, FEAR ME PUNY MORTALS FOR I HAVE A SHIP THAT LOOKS LIKE A BIRD!

There's a lot of ground the Bort and Oddy have to make up for, and you can probably expect that their T6 versions will have some nice upgrades, but that doesn't obligate Cryptic to making the same proportional jumps with the Scimitar. They could just check the last two boxes and call it a day.

Credit Card at the ready...make it so!

Praying they don't bork it...I love the seating of the Oddy as is, hoping they just add Command seating OPTIONAL for those that want it or don't...oh and I better have the same and/or awesome cooler even more high tech bridge!

Specialization seatings are always optional, you can always use the default abilities instead of specialization abilities.

While it would be awesome to have another Odyssey for the anniversary + KDF and Romulan equivalents, I just don't see it happening. A big C-Store bundle? Ya most likely. Free T6 to grind? I think that will be something else (maybe the new carrier we are polling for right now?).

Yeah I don't see a free Oddy either and I understand it as well. I believe the Gal-X and Oddy have to be two of their biggest money makers, I see a big bundle offer which is totally reasonable and understandable. They need to make money too.

The bundles are a certainty, but I can easily see cryptic repeat the way the Command Cruisers and original Bort/Oddy were introduced (flat T5/T6 event ship, fleet level c-store alternatives.)

If I were designing the ships, I'd keep the Odyssey's Chevron Separation console, either boost the Bortasqu's turn rate to Battlecruiser levels so it can use the autocannon or replace it with a console worth using, and scrap the console pets in favor of a frigate hangar pet unique to the Oddy and Bortas. Because of the pets alone, it's glaring that the Scimitar was a later design for the game than either the Starfleet or KDF ship. A pet that I can't track in the user interface, issue commands to, or quickly replace when it's killed isn't worth a console slot, unless we're talking about a saucer/vector separation where the main ship gets something like a maneuverability buff while the pet is summoned.

I noticed the comment about the Odyssey as well. I hope they do right by it. I hope they give us a new bridge with it and a new ready room. The ready room need to be updated anyhow. And on the Odyssey is should grander and better than the one on Voyager.

I'd like to a customer interior too for the Odyssey.

Now back on topic. With the T6 Odyssey I hope they will provided the Odyssey set with it or have it built in. Things not mentioned yet, possibly a new design for the ship, improve QSD, add a 4th piece to the set, new warp core and add one more console slot for each station.

Of course, this is just pointing out the obvious that one of the most popular non-iconic ships is getting a T6 revamp in the foreseeable future. Details like you mentioned are surely to come at unknown point in time but I would expect it to follow identical conventions to previous T6 revamps (only plus one console in total, plus one bridge slot, new universal console, new trait, new skin variant, access to T6 skin option).

Also to add to the list. Possibly ablative generator. It is surprising that not most, if not all, ships have this yet. Also have an improved version.
