I just tried the compatibility wizard on the game client and reverted it back to Windows 8. It seems to be working fine again at the moment (touch wood!).
I would love to know how you were able to accomplish that, tarses, because I've been trying to do this for the longest time.
For whatever reason, when I try to run the Compatibility Wizard for Star Trek Online, it doesn't show up in my list of programs that I can fix and, unfortunately, since there is no way to officially select the Games folder, I can't select the game itself. The best I can do with the Compatibility Wizard is point it to the setup program which, as I've found out does nothing.
null Well, fun story there, pal. My computer was brand new out of the box for all of three minutes before I installed Win 10. I've had problems since the beginning. When I initially tried to download Arc, it told me that it wasn't compatible, but that was resolved in about two weeks. At the time I bought my computer, Win 10 still wasn't an automatic feature. While I did come from a previous Windows version, my computer is brand new and top of the line. These problems shouldn't be occuring no matter what. It was even worse on my Win 7 computer. I actually had to get a command line to even run STO after DR TRIBBLE it over. So yeah, it's just them having a problem with older models and, more specifically, Win 10 in general.

So would I - haven't been able to make it work again for days! Tempting fate by saying anything I guess...
I've just been able to launch it on Windows 10 by selecting Options (top right on the launcher) and ticking Safe Mode. It seems to work okay, although the graphics seem lower resolution - no idea what else Safe Mode does, but at least I'm in...

Try it fella, using this you don't need to play in safe mode:
Open your Star Trek Client go to options, in command line add:
