Why not when the Event Comes round again the Prize is all the previous ships + the New Sparkly one, I was unable to play due to Real life and Get the new Ferengi Ship .. So would love another crack at getting it plus a new ship would mean a New Shiny for those who want it.

I'd be all for the console and/or ship being available in the Lobi store. In answer to "what makes this different to other limited items" - such as the Cochrane Shotgun or Antiproton torpedo - the answer is that like the DSD it completes a 4-part set with the Z-store Command Cruiser consoles; in short you can't get full utility from a 6000Z set without it.
To be fair to Cryptic, they've grokked why players tended not to slot clickable consoles and most 2/3/4 part sets now have some impressive bonuses - the ones on the Command Cruisers and the Fed Heavy Escort Carrier are particularly impressive.
The console is part of a set, so it should be somehow available (lobi, or added to the relevant episode). The ship itself shouldn't, as it is a time-limited special.
Sadly a precedent has been made for them putting either a similar or updated version of a one time event ships, and with this ship having a console that is part of a c-store ship's own four piece set that would imply it would be good to have a way of obtaining it after the event finished. Whether they put the console on a new updated version of the ship, maybe a Kaboli dreadnaught version, or place it into the lobi-store for people to be able to obtain it either option is a good option. Actually there is less of a precedent for them not giving a method of obtaining an item from such events, but most of those are not tied to c-store purchases that need the item to be at their fullest capability.
As expected, those who already have the ship don't want anyone else to even have access to it by spending money to buy it through Lobi / Zen.

I've got to say...I would love an account Fleet yard, where you can play any of the ships you have on your characters on any other. I've got the best gear on some characters, but am having an awful time levelling others and oh, but to use some of my ground gear on them.
Wouldn't be a problem for me if they'd put the Samsar in the Lobi store. As long as they keep the event store Event store so those who did the daily missions during the events should still get the Samsar(or other event ships) on all their chars, accountwide, for free (after the unlocked the Store during an event)
I've been with the game since beta, but had long pauses where I've not played, I've only just came back to find I've missed loads of cool stuff like Delta Recruit and a slew of nice ships, I really like the look of that ship but I just found out I can't get it because I didn't spend the last 5-6 years giving STO my full attention, **** me right? making things a one-time only exclusive is silly, there should always be another chance to get something, be it every few years or by the way of some random reward.
This one-time only thing is really not fair to people that have only just started playing too, as a veteran I'm disheartened, as someone who would have just started playing the game for the first time, I would probably feel like not playing after awhile when I realize the items/ships I want I will never ever own while someone who's played the game religiously is pimping his ride next to my Miranda.

There should be some way for new players to get at least the console, since it's part of a set. Lobi, episode, or a Delta rep project.
I'm fine with some stand-alone items being 1-time exclusives even though I'd like the Zefram shotgun for an alt that was created after that event. Set items are different.

Each Breen ship needed its own grind. A person might have the carrier but not the others. Which also means they're out of luck on getting frigate hangar pets. Which argues for putting at least the frigate in the lobi store if there is no other way to get it in a future event.
I have all the Breen ships and the Kobali, but I'd be a bit frustrated if I didn't.
I voted yes considering the original dyson destroyer anniversary ship is also in the lobi store along with the Obelisk carrier . Precident was established, makes sense that eventually the koballi cruiser end up there too.
Yes, but ONLY if they let the Lobi Dyson Science Destroyer unlock the Account-wide version. Obelisk is already free as a Fleet ship, and so are the basic Odyssey and Bortasqu, but not the Dyson Science Destroyer.
No for the ship. It's an anniversary event ship and should stay as such. But go ahead and put the console into the Lobi Store, will be cheaper than the whole ship that way anyway.

Yes, it's very easy. There are also some event items that I don't have. I would be pleasantly excited to find out that I could get them but I agree in principle that they should not be made available later.
I am sick and tired of every MMO I play being polluted by immature children who want the shiny for themselves and only themselves, refusing to acknowledge that other people may not have been able to play during these events.
I decided not to play for a few days and messed up by not reading about or retrieving the account wide 2 spec points giveaway a month or two ago. You don't see me "acting like a child" and crying about it.

You are basically saying that STO is the priority thing in your life and everything else is getting in the way. A few years back when my wife gave birth to my son, I was NOT next to my wife saying "Hurry up and push, I am missing out on a double dil weekend"

If Cryptic has Featured Re-runs for people to gain those special rewards, I for one think that would be fair.

I'd not call the lobi store making a ship 'available'. How much real $ does it take to get 800-1000 lobi? (Shut up w/ your "but I can get keys off the Exchange". Someone had to buy them; if not you.) Lobi ships are insanely priced when you do the math vs C-store. And you only get 1 of them not it unlocked for all your toons on the account.
Be better off making them C-store after awhile (6-12 months) or, God forbid!, via dilithium. You miss the event you can get it eventually, assuming you'd want it a year later when it's been over-shadowed by everything released since then.
Hell, if I remember right, the Kobali Cruiser wasn't even 'new' anymore before the event was even done! Cryptic released a new set of C-store ships a week before the normal player even finished the event!
