The Klingon and Romulan ships are pretty much the only ones I could say personally I'd want to commit resources to acquiring due to the fact many of us have bought that ship atleast 3 times already +1 ship, c-store T5, fleet T5, and the fleet T5U now a T6 + Fleet T6. So technically those who love this ship so much and still playing keyword *still* are expected to buy this ship 6 times? lol
So yeah the new Klingon and Romulan ones can stomach those because they haven't been in the game yet so to speak so yeah if they are this low on ideas they may want to address this situation because at some point the sales are just going to drop to nothing if you try to resell stuff you already own.
ok i hope that we will be able to use the multi- vector assualt mode console on the new ship as i saw no mention of it in the blog
Given that the description of both the new console and the trait mention how they function with the MVAM vector pets, I think it's safe to say that it does. The real question is how it looks separated.
What happened!? Did a Prometheus and Tactical Command Cruiser have a baby!?
Just kidding, it does look nice, despite the obvious copy-and-paste of different ship parts.
I actually liked the nacelles on this ship. They made a good call reusing them. HOWEVER, I think we will now have a new "Are you my mommy?" picture of a Prometheus T6 looking to a Presidio... I can see it now.
"Presidio, she has your nacelles."
Presidio: "...but Prometheus, she has your hull."
Wasn't the Phantom Escort essentially a T6 Defiant replacement? The differences between a FT5-U Defiant and a FT6 Phantom are pretty much what you'd expect in a T6 update, with a slight knock in hull strength. Now, I think it'd be pretty nice, and super easy, for them to add a Defiant skin to the Phantom. Would that satisfy anybody?

I have to be honest. I'm not at all surprised to see yet another FED ship. What happened to the KDF and Romulan ships. The Hestia ship is just another pass for me. What a waste creating yet one ship for one faction, but not one for the other two as well.
This is probably one of the few recent Federation T6 designs I'm actually really happy with. It keeps enough of the core design to still look like the Prometheus, while also not looking too ugly with the new refit style. I'm still waiting on the T6 Defiant, but this ship does have my interest.
A Prometheus ship without [Console - Universal - Multi-Vector Assault Module]. So after waiting for a T6 upgrade, we have to fork out 2,500 zen for a module that does nothing much but make the Prometheus feel canon.
More interested in the stats and boff layout, but at first glance this will not be a ship i will purchase.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Any chance that starship trait has some kind of alternate function in PvP? I can already see problems with that one, specially if a whole team is using it.
I would love to see some trait at some point like:
Vampire tactics - Drain boost
Black hole physics - Grav gens boost
Confucius expert - Countermesure systems boost
I imagine traits like these might come on a science oriented spec ship set like with the escort pilot ships and the command cruisers, I'm guessing a three pack of science ships are being made ready to use with some sciency spec that's hopefully coming. And I shall want all of these traits.

They don't make science ships anymore. Apparently, they don't sell very well. And that makes me sad.
I'm not normally one to nitpick like this, but surely "Hestia-class" should be reserved for the T6 update to the Vesta? What with being basically just Greek and Roman names for the same figure. Isn't there a more appropriate name for the T6 Prometheus?
Yes, I'm aware that Hestia is a Greek goddess and not just from Danmachi. But that isn't going to stop me from poking fun at it.
I was thinking the same thing the moment I saw the name; the Aegis Shield might serve for that, though it depends on where the blue lines fall. Still, an odd choice for the name, given Hestia's role in the pantheon. Plus... now what are they going to call the T6 Vesta?
Unfortunately, a standalone Federation offering is an automatic disqualifier for me. I like the design, though, so hats off to the designer.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

No science ships? If that is true then what are the Pathfinder and Dauntless (among others).

Don't forget the Scryer. Three of the first six T6 ships we got were Sci ships, they are still playing catch up with the other classes.

Exactly as much as the Guardian Cruiser was the replacement for the Galaxy Class, or the Command Cruisers were a replacement for the Excelsior Class.
SO.. Nope. The Phantom is aesthetically clearly inspired by the Defiant, but it is not the Tier 6 Defiant. If it was the Tier 6 Defiant, you could use costume parts of the Tier 6 Defiant with it. And you can't.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
It's a vicious cycle. They don't make science ships because they don't sell well. They don't sell well because they don't make science ships (and when they do, they're TRIBBLE).

I figured the T6 Prometheus would be the Icarus class, and Hestia the Vesta. Oh well, wasted opportunities.

When is the Defiant/B'rel/T'varo 3-pack dropping?
Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.
I think there was talk of a T6 Haakona in the pipeline a while back, so here's hoping!

Sorry, I'm cheesy.
Its own special console power and trait have good synergy with this feature.

Personally, I like that about it. It makes it feel plausibly 2410. And I really love those nacelles
(Though I agree with the sentiment that we need more KDF and Rom ships.)
The Phantom is much bigger than the Defiant.
They have to be packaged with a Fed ship.

They already have a pre-existing Icarus class:
