Account server connection could not be started = DDOSed again?

Username, check.
Password, check.
Password disappears, nothing happens, then about 10 seconds later, "Account server connection could not be started."
Checked ping, "Ping request could not find host patchserver.crypticstudios.com."
I was just on, logged out and back in moments later, now nothing. I did notice a little stutter/delay/lag right before logging.
DDOSed again?

    Same here, I logged out after I saw my Bridge Officer portraits disappear figuring it would work and after the Title screen took a while to load I closed, now I cannot get the launcher to work.

    Unable to establish connection to patch server. Please check your internet connection. If problems persist, please contact technical support.

    Obviously my internet connection is just fine .........

    my game froze loading into a PVE queue, now the launcher won't load. It times out with an error about not being able to connect to the patch server. Internet is fine.

    i think it cryptic servers that the problem beacuse i can't connect to any of their servers

    Glad I'm not the only one. Something is definitely up. Our TeamSpeak server even hickupped for a second and we all got disconnected from there and bounced back I got disconnected from game but my friends remained in the game...

    I'm in East Coast I have a feeling Boston server/pathways are acting up again...

    It is clearly their servers, we're trying to get a moderator to acknowledge the issue and offer support. I just filed a ticket as well.

    Same problem, I currently can't log into STO. The launcher is failing all attempts to connect.

    Where is everyone from that's having troubles? My fleet mates that are in the game are either in Europe or West Coast US, I'm in East Coast.

    Might be their servers but not everyone is experiencing this problem.

    Some folks in my fleet are fine, others are not, they are all over the US so it seems pretty random as to who is affected.

    I am having the same problem, 9-19-2015 9:53pm est and everything worked fine earlier today. Trying to update the launcher.
    Please be patient.

    Just got off the phone with two of my fleet mates, they are on west coast and can login just fine, I'm in central timezone but can't.

    mine is finally connecting but I am betting it times out before it finishes. Im west coast as well.

    Edit: It took a while but I did get in.

    This has happened once before. Boston servers were so backed up and clogged random people had trouble logging in to the game. Last time this happened it lasted a couple days, people started blaming Cogent for throttling the Boston servers...

    Sent ticket to Arc about it earlier, I'm in Colorado, so I can confirm that it extends at least this far to the west...

    physical location doesn't seem to have anything to do with it, this is the same problem they had 2 weekends ago with their ISP, which caused them to extend the Crystalline Entity event
