Ship interiors reworked from the ground up as content hubs....?
That's something I always hoped they'd get around to post-Iconian war.
Myself and a lot of other player have wanted this for a long time now.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
I want the main story line extended, obviously. The story should never really end. Chapters should have endings. But the overarching story and evolution of the simulated game world should go on.
Second is a new faction (Cardassians would be great but maybe they can work someone else in.)
Third is to give factions more unique missions and maybe more unique storylines instead of another big bad for all to fight.
Examples
The Federation Players could be assigned to aide border colonies on the edge of unexplored space. The colonies could start suffering attacks from an unknown power with the players assigned to repel the attacks, discover who is launching the strikes, and why they are doing so then try to negotiate a peace with the attackers.
The Klingons could find themselves under attack from either a new race or one o the races from the Trek EU who the Klingons have long been in conflict with,
And the Romulans could find themselves fighting the Romulans from the Mirror Universe who AFAIK have never appeared in the STO story other then a few Mirror Universe versions of Romulan ship designs.

That would be the green option.
