Can we take away the damage done by a GW, but buff the pull by .005 for Gw1, and GW 3 a buff of .01 as a trade off. I think this would fit the skill better as it is not a damage skill.

right, but your GW wont do any damage if nothing is in it. I much better would like the GW be -repel .33 over doing 1.5k damage per tick. If anything it would make sense if the damage was done on the collapse of the GW.

It's a very localized zone with a high differential of gravity. Similar to a black hole, that's what is tearing ships apart when they're too close.
GW damage is fine and realistic. I never had any issues with the pull but with the fleet consoles from the reserach lab, that shouldn't be a problem for you anymore.

In PvE or the rare instances that I do PvP, whenever I get hit by a GW I dont have to activate any skill, just staying at 1/2 Impulse I get out of it so easily it doesnt even have time to hurt me.

Destabilized Rez Beam (Seizure inducing Rez Debuff,AOE,Physical Dmg)
Tractor Beam Repulsors (Its a staple of sci damage)
Tykens (AOE drain that does slightly less kenetic dmg than GW)
Subspace Vortex (Its ensign ability does more damage than gw3 but without the - repulse.Also acts as a teleport..)
Also..Coupled with the right secondary deflector all these abilities (Except the Vortex) get meaner.
You know... I think Fire At Will shouldn't do damage either... it should have its damage removed.. and make it do more of a threat increase... that would make more sense for it.

How bout we stop trying to get grav wells nerfed for the umpteenth time and people just learn to play the game? Seriously grav well is fine the way it is, it doesn't need another nerf.

PVP wise there are plenty of escapes available to counteract this ability, even if it is fully DMG buffed. Evasive in particular. + all those immunities.

The damage in gravity well comes from the Prtg points. Prtg points =Dmg ability...If subspace vortex could have a - repel it would be a much better Gw alternative (also more powerful).... Right now GW3= DRB1...SSV1>GW3
Adding the damage of Gravity Well at the end of the ability sounds like a combination of projected singularity and Subspace integration circuit.Not bad for slow unthinking PVE critters...Totally useless in PVP..But Ive heard theres only a few players left :P
I started the last GW post that actually changed GW to what it is today. It had more damage and less real control in its original state. (Yes, Borticus forgot a decimal point last time and turned GW into a localized repulsor for a few days)
As it stands PartG raises its damage, Graviton Generators increase the radius. You're asking for more pull which is based off rank of power. The issue isn't the pull its certain mobs/pets have abilities to get out of GW. Adding more pull won't negate these abilities, so what you're really asking is for the power to change for the worse.
Good idea. Instead, Scramble Sensors should deal the hull damage. And BFAW should probably only affect a single beam array, like it used to do in the great old days.

GW IS a damage skill if you stack PartiGens. If you want it to be a cc skill you have to stack Graviton Emitters. It's that simple. The choice lies with the player. Removing the damage component would do nothing but hurt the players who use the skill for dmg.
I'm playing STO which you don't, appearantly. If you did, you'd know that Graviton Emiters increases the range of the pull, which is very helpful for cc due to the GW "catching" more enemies and even pulling those back that got away with EPtE or other speed buffs.

Did you read my previous post? Also, assuming you are the best is usually wrong, regardless of how good you are, somebody is better.
I'd like Gravity well-1 to be available for Lieutenant science bridge officers, so that I can use it while piloting my Jem Dreadnought

.005 - .01 would be totally unnoticable.
Besides... Its working fine as is. You can't have a pull like that from a Gravity Well without some stress on the hull, aka damage.
Just an FYI, the next time you want a power changed, please research. I did a lot of research before I brought my numbers to Borticus. Testing, seeing how each skill affected the power. I'm not sure how many players are aware, but, originally Graviton Generators actually used to add a bit of damage as well. To me with PartG adding so much more, I wanted GG to provide something different, I naturally thought of radius. The previous version of GW had a set radius which was pretty small.
Just to add, adding more -repel wouldn't help if all you're doing is trying to be slick about powers that help people escape GW. This that resist holds/repels such as from skills and powers would negate the effects.
