Temporary fix for Direct x issue

Like many of you I keep getting crashes at the "Star Trek" loading screen. I tried many fixes to no avail but I have found a temporary fix until the developers issue a real fix if ever.

At the login screen go to options check safe mode and save.
Start game.
At the character login screen go to options at the bottom right. Under display the very first tab says auto. Change this to d3d9 not d3d9ex and save. DO NOT change anything else.

Exit the game and restart. The game should run now but only in windowed mode if you change it to fullscreen it will crash.

I suggest whoever reads this to write to CBS/Paramount and let them know what a horrible job the developers are doing with there franchise. I mean I have being playing pc games for many many years and I have never seen a non beta game that will not even start. IT'S A JOKE!

Yep. It is. No reason for it. At all. Yo, Cryptic: just stop deving new content for this game, and just spend a solid month -- whatever you need -- and fix the broken. If not for us, for your own sense of pride. Jeebus.

I can't even get past the splash screen, even with safe mode. :( Drivers keep crashing.

Have you tried a force verify?

Not yet, I'll try that now.

Just tried it, still crashed. I'm wondering if my drivers plus my Windows 10 makes me doubly screwed.

Oh your using 10 huh? Sorry your screwed. I am waiting at a least a year for them to work the bugs out before I switch.
