Yep, on Windows 10, STO works, I get an annoying click on the splash screen, not got round to working out what has caused that yet though, doesn't bother me a great deal.

the only issue I have had with windows 10, and this has been an issue since at least build 10074, is accessing the https pages for arcgames.com, or more specifically https://billing.arcgames.com/en/ . the page wont come up in edge, and shows an erroneous tls turned off error in IE. this means I cant purchase any ZEN to get ships or other stuff

I had the same problem and solved with Mozilla Firefox.

What I would like to see fixed (existing since going to VANILLA Forum) is the constant need to verify through ARC DEFENDER when I am using the same computer to access the site. Also to make this new forum site compatible with my iPad O/S (have not been able to go to forum via iPad since VANILLA was introduced).

Basically, if a program works with Windows 7 or 8.1, it will work on 10.
I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

The problem has nothing to do with Windows 10; the problem lies in the compatibility btw the ZEN purchase page and the new browser, Windows Edge. This ARC page (ZEN purchase page) is the only one I have seen having issues with the new browser included in Windows 10 update.

My PC has had no issues except I noticed that STO takes a little bit longer to load.

My wife's laptop, however, immediately crashes to desktop after selecting a character and entering the game. I have a feeling that her issue is either a DirectX or graphics driver issue. I am hoping that with today's patch, I can further narrow down the problem if it still won't let her in-game.

Also been using Windows 10 since July 29th, and I have had no problems getting on or playing STO. I'm even playing Neverwinter with no hickups.

As a Windows Insider, STO has worked fine on every build of Windows 10 thus far. If you are wondering if STO will get a DX12 upgrade, I doubt anyone that knows can say. With PWE games appearing on the XBOX One, it could happen. Whether or not STO ever makes it to the XBOX One is another matter completely.

I use a laptop so this is concerning. Haven't updated mine yet.

STO should load in the same amount of time on Windows 10 as it does on Windows 8/8.1. A number of people have had corruption issues with the installation of Windows 10, especially through upgrading. Although Microsoft never acknowledged the issue and I haven't seen anything concrete on the cause. Reinstalls seem to do the trick for most using the Windows 10 ISO or USB tool.

    Running Win10 on a Lappy

Only problem is the billing page, but this is easily fixed by installing Firefox or Chrome

Had a lot of problems with other games, using VCRedist.. Had to manually copy the dll's in question from Windows.old/syswow64/ folder to Windows/syswow64/.. No problems whatsoever here.

I'm using windows 10 as well and have had no problems. I recently got a new computer and installed STO through steam since Arc doesn't run on anything newer than 7 apparently. I do really like how the steam wallet lets you stay in game instead of opening a browser when buying zen.

I am running Windows 10 and experiencing issues ever since I upgraded. The issues I have is only with STO so far from what I've noticed, with the game being totally unplayable due to "hangs" or "freezes" that looks a lot like lag.

Hmmm this is strange. Some are ok with windows 10 and sto, others are not. I think i will stick with my windows 8.1 until cryptic can sort this out in the game and on Arc. God knows if they ever will, but miracles could happen. we shall see.

I am not sure if it's a Win10 thing or a patch thing, but ever since I upgraded (yesterday), and I did yesterday's patch, I have had it crash just as it reaches the second loading screen (the one with the game logo). This is running it from the Arc launcher; I will try it from Steam to see if it does the same thing, but I have not been able to get into the game at all since the Win10 upgrade.

I just downloaded windows 10 and I cant get my STO to launch. I get to the start up screen after hitting ENGAGE and then I get the Cryptic screen and halfway through the loading it just stops, I hear this strange beep or noise and then it quits. When I go to try and restart all it says is patching. Please, any help would be appreciated.

I've been playing STO on Win10 and it runs perfectly. My only problems have been with the launcher. The options and patch/engage buttons works, but none of the other links do. I click on them and nothing happens. Haven't tried buying Zen yet though, so I can't confirm whether that's an issue on my copy of Edge. I do know that the forums give Pale Moon fits though.

I must be a member of the minority here then, as I have attempted every fix suggested for the problems I'm having (which people were reporting with 8 and 8.1), and nothing. The game constantly crashes in the loading screen. I've done Safe Mode, nothing. Change the gameprefs to use DX9 instead of 11, nothing.

Have you tried completely reinstalling STO?

Well, I did a fresh install of Win10 through a USB stick and still have the same problems on her laptop. She has Champions Online installed as well and has no problems at all getting into that game and playing. Wass hoping that the patch on Tursday would have fixed her issues, but evidently they have not.

I have noticed a problem on my PC now... I load and run a single of instance of the STO Launcher with no problems... other than the aforementiuoned longer load-in. If I load a second instance of the STO Launcher, the 1st one locks up (Not Responding). I refuse to use ARC because it only lets you login a single account at a time anyways. Since I have a Cell Ship on one account and my main characters on another, I think you can see why this is an important issue in my case.

Older drivers work on Windows 10. The problem is, Windows Update will always replace the driver with what it feels is best. There is a tool you can try to use to stop it from installing a particular update but Windows Update is fairly fast for installing things. You will more than likely have to disable Driver Signing to install some drivers.

I play only casually. I was pleased that my upgrade to Windows 10 didn't mess anything up and that all my games worked.

However, I just tried to log into STO. It's been about a week since I played. The game patched, upon signing in. Then, I clicked Engage and the screen goes black, with a blue circle circling. Wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and nothing. It just stays there forever. If I click (left or right) I get the popup that says STO isn't responding and the choice to either close it, or wait longer. I've been waiting for about three hours, just to see if it would come up.

So, yeah. It may not be a Windows 10 issue. Or it may be. Not sure. Any ideas? I've rebooted, with the same results. It did work, after my upgrade to Windows 10. Just not now, after it patched itself. Maybe it's the patch.

If anyone has any ideas, just let me know. Thanks.

Kool to know....Checked to make sure that i was using the same driver that i was in Windows 7....Same driver. Might be a Windows 10 thing. Will look into it more.

    Thanks.

There should be an option that is checked that says, "Show compatible hardware". Uncheck this to show all drivers. Because Windows from 8 forward is really picky about driver signing. It would be wise to use the advanced startup options to disable driver signing before you try to install the driver from Windows 7.
