This is a nice update to a classic ship and all, but what about ships like the Sovereign and the Defiant? They both desperately need re-modellings as well and T6 updates. I dont know why the Akira is getting a tier 6 update when so many more people have wanted the Defiant, it's a much more iconic ship.
Agreed, 110%. Ben Sisko would give you a steely cold stare and ask why the Akira got it before the Defiant. Still, the new Akira does look nice...good work, guys!
Since you guys are revamping stuff...can we get some interior revamps? I know many of the fed ones could use some scaling down.
The bridge on my Phantom is ridiculously, hideously large...in scale, it's almost as big or bigger than a Galaxy or Sovereign. The engine room looks like a huge cathedral, and though a warp core will extend through a couple of decks, it just can't be that big. And don't even get me started on why the transporter chambers throughout the game are just scary huge beyond all reason...
Huge? You do know that in Star Trek some of the ships are a kilometer long right?
Visual updates of older canon ships are always appreciate. Very nice, love to canon details greatly improves this game

Very nice although it's trying to charge 2500 zen to use the upgraded Akira skin/windows on my Armitage, my understanding was that the upgraded Akira model was free.

very very nice work.. the akira is on the top three list of ships i adore.. however, i still wish cryptic would give discounts to those of us who (looking back) were silly and jumped at buying t5-u upgrades.. its a very nasty perception to anyone that have bought the thunderchild, the armatage, the fleet version, the t5-u, and am now being asked to buy yet another version of the same ship i have bought 4 times before. the act of rebranding content you have already released ingame is cheap, and me no likes..
also, while i love the ships getting graphical updates, i think its time we started getting some of the ships that are canon, but still not in the game in.. like the new orleans, norway, niagera (im hoping this is a skin for the ambassador when that goes t6) challenger, springfield and so on and so forth. if we have a t6 exceslior, than all of the above mentioned ships definatly have a spot in this timeline lol..

a lot better but why does it still have texture error's here and there like on the old mesh ? , some parts look melted/twisted a little around some windows
After having spent some time with it its probably my favorite ship model in the game right now. Its not so much the better proportions (and the fact that its an Akira class) but all that lovely fine detail. I just keep finding more of it. Very well done.

I can't wait to get a new computer (with better graphics). I feel like I'm wearing an older prescription glasses (ironic esp. when I am currently wearing an older pair prescription glasses waiting for my new glasses to be shipped to the optometrist....).
My compliments to all involved in the Alita. It is a good deal of fun to shoot with. I might just try the Qa'tel next chance I get. As for the T6 Ar'kif, it may be the best mid-sized warbird for some or even most, it just doesn't impress me as much.
If perhaps T6 versions of the Prometheus and Hegh'ta were to happen, I might have to pick up a few more ships to my fleets.
