I understand there are sometimes server issues, but this is becoming a pattern that when people are first starting to get on in the U.S. after a long day at work, the server crashes.
I have been starting to get disconnects daily between 9:30PM and 10:00PM Eastern every night this week. In this case I do not think it is STO but Comcast. Do you have Comcast by chance?
Yea it is a daily issue and peeps are quitting the game over its bad quality. Nearly doubling my in game contacts as a result of the new Armada system makes it more transparent than it already was before it.
On a lot of cases we are dealing with customers well in support of this title by financial means.
It’s really fascinating how that deal works out for cryptic.

I havent cought a day (!) since January where I didnt get disconnected once. And I dont mean Borg Disconnected... When that happens all i can do to get back into the game is firing up a VPN Connections. But only a small percentage of STO Users is able to do that. Complaining seems to be useless with this company. I honestly have given up on them.
I get a lot of 'can't connect to account server' when I click the play button on the character select screen (Hello, Cryptic! I already connected to the account server when I logged into the friggin' game!) and repetitious 'Server not responding........................................................................................................................
I've given up on this game. If Cryptic can't be bothered to provide service then I can't be bothered to give money to Cryptic.

A lot of SERVER NOT RESPONDING and DCs this evening. While some tracerts are showing high pings along the route, this one shows acceptable numbers (ignore the 2 RTO spots, as it seems those 2 hops don't want to report back, been happening for a while now...and the numbers in yellow are "acceptable" by Cryptic standards ) yet still getting severe lag and disconnect issues.
While the networking is an issue, the core problem is the game servers can't handle the player load at peak times. The more content they add, the more activity they draw, but if they don't stabilize the framework of the game to handle the corresponding load, it all comes crashing down. As a result, players get frustrated and stop playing, some for good, and the company takes a lo$$.
Releasing all that fancy new content, essentially, is just as detrimental as ignoring the faults deep within the system that have existed for months, if not years now.
It's simple logic...and they just don't seem to get it.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
