It's a good looking shuttle, I might pick it up if it were in the C-Store...Hint hint.
The shuttle that comes free of charge with the D'Kyr is nice as well.
And yes, that Axanar movie does look nice. Heck, even the separate preview they made to get funds raised was good.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Axanar looks great! I really like those older Klingon cruisers. Would be great to see STO come out with a T6 K'tinga that looks like those...hint hint. I know it would kinda be going backwards to do that, but...they did that already with the Koro'tinga. I'm up for a repeat!
Man it is sad a third party writes better movies than the actual owners of the franchise.
You know, I'm still not entirely sure about what Axanar is. Is it a movie, that they're hoping will convince CBS to expand it into a show? Or...?
That said, agree with you completely.
Prelude to Axanar is a 20 minute documentary type film that's free on YouTube. It's REALLY good with several Trek veteran actors like Ambassador Soval and the guy who plays Martok on DS9. It's about the battle that ended the Klingon - Federation war twenty years before TOS. The feature film is scheduled for release in spring/Summer 2016 in time for Star Trek's 50th anniversary.
Of all the fan productions ive ever seen this one tops them all with real studio quality acting, writing and CGI. I'm very excited! But they need our funding to help production so go donate to their Indiegogo everyone!

its a "documentary" pice on the "Battle of Axanar" which was basically the UFP's Midway in their war with the Klingon Empire. It also tells the story of Garth of Izar, which is a character that pops up in ToS as a broken man but Kirk refers to him as, "The greatest of us." or something very similar. Its just a really badass fan project, aiming to make a good movie. Not like renegades which is aiming to make a really good movie to sell a series
Comparing the two versions of Star Trek is like comparing Tea and Coffee. They each have their own charm but they are nothing alike nor are they intended to be. While one is laid back and has been enjoyed for a very long time the other is new, exciting and makes its presence known quite boldly. Yet neither is objectively better, you may of course have an opinion of which is better but no one cares.
I now await the throngs of offendotrons coming to whine about how JJ Abrams took a dump on their childhoods. I will point and laugh at their stupidity and then move on to important things.
Isegn, you obviously really dont like star trek, just science fiction. The new movies are made only to atract new costumers, but the old ones never ever liked those movies. You cant pick an excuse and say that i am JJ Abrahams and do watever you want with star trek, because if you dont follow the ip in almost every aspect you are not making a star trek movie. We already have a lot of science fiction movies out there.

hate to break it to ya bubber, but my mom watch ToS when it was new and likes both new jjtrek movies
Now that i see the prelude again, they need to improve the special effects of the torpedoes, they really dont look like torps.. more like plasma dischargues or something like that lol. Everything else is amazing, i cant wait for more Axanar. And the klingons.. they dont have human mouths... just saying

You are correct, you can't compare a philosophical themed, about morals and ethics written franchise with popcorn-pew-pew, where every hint of an thought about morals and ethics are overtuned by the next explosion.
The JJ-Films have one fatal flaw: They have the Franchise-Name in the title, and thus are met with other expectations than your average SciFi-Film. If they were just SciFi-Film, they would actually be good. But given the Star Trek in name, they are too much pew-pew&kaboooooom and too little philosophy.
Its a bit like throwing "The Intouchables" and "The Expendables" together in one franchise. Now, dont get me wrong, both are good in there own way, since in the former I expect different things than from the letter. I dont go in Expendables with expectations about cunning dialoges and debates about the minor (or major) points of morality. But I would go in ST exactly for such a thing. The action are just a bonus. I mean, what are the well received episodes of ST? There we have things like "The second life", "The Visitor", "In the pale moonlight", whole episodes with little action but much philosophy.
And JJ just horribly fails to transmit such things. Like I said, there is a thought and then an big explosion to blow the thought out of the airlock. If they were just your generic SciFi-Film, they would actually good. With popcorn.
I say I want MORE Vulcan ships in the game... *Throws credit card at the screen* take it already...
I 100% Agree with you. A nice TACTICAL Vulcan cruiser, not a Sci ship
And about Axanar. I watched Prelude to Axanar several times now. I love it. Richard Hatchs Klingon Makeup looks a bit weird, Gorkon style, but its nice to see so many familiar faces. I am really waiting to see the finished Movie and i am already hpoing for a sequel or maybe even a show

I know, it's almost as if they are 2 hour long blockbusters and not a TV series running for 7 years that allows for depth and morality plays .
All of the other films managed to get across one theme at most (mostly revenge) the latest two films are no different.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Axanar (as well as Captain Pike) is not sure it will be filmed entirely yet. They are still building the studio and gathering founds. It is not sure 100% that it will finally got into production.

No the first 22 sec are ship after that on the planet are shuttles.

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
I am still skeptical that we will actually see a finished product, but almost everything thus far is ages beyond anything JJ has produced.
I hope Axanar will live up to the expectations.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Highly unlikely due to this production being for non profit, which is the only reason they're allowed to make it.
If it goes to a full series, CBS would have to have a say in what happen's, and we don't want that..
