Second off, little bit of a status update. We've got some good progress coming in so far. Things tentatively are looking good. I believe this network maintenance will be affecting lines through Internap and Cogent (gasp) and improving those connections. This is especially relevant as I am aware some EU players (especially those in Germany) are bound through one line that needed some love and attention. We're working on giving you that love and attention. Yeehaw.

Trendy will the Summer Event be extended by 3 days to help out those who missed it by a small margin? especially with this long maintenance which we appreciate.

Pasta sounds good. Might make some for dinner. Or go out. Not sure yet. Maybe the local Italian restaurant or Olive Garden. Not that one overpriced noodle place, though, that is $10 for a small plate. I'm not paying that for average ramen. If it was good ramen, then sure. Of course, adding butter to ramen at home makes it cheaper and better than that place.

Oh Well I was wondering because I know some of the other games I play have test servers just for the purpose of making sure the patches are going to work.
Yes they have a test server, and the patch was on there. The problem isn't JUST the patch but the network improvements they are doing as well.
It's not 'fun' that it's taking this long, but I'd rather it take this long than them bringing the game back up before everything is ready and end up having a truly miserable experience only to have them bring the game back down to fix (finish) what was needed in the first place.
Take what time you need. While I pretty much have my mouse and keyboard assimilated into my hands with how much I play STO, I can deal with it for a day if things are actually better when the game comes back up.

lol I wasn't complaining. I just didn't know it was network problems you guys type faster than me and I lose part of the conversation sometimes. I thought it was just a problem with a patch that they were doing.
Ok....I WANT FREE STUFF!!! and my Eisilum Crystal Horta [Incident: 150624-000264]returned. His name is George and he became missing after the last maintiance patch if you find him please feed him and return him to me. I'm sure Cryptic will pay any finders fees since they let him out of his cage.
