Login Access Issues [5/26]

I have been assimilated by LaughingTrendy to take the place of the OP!

We're looking into reports of the sudden loss of login access.

Our ObjectDB is encountering some issues that requires a restart. Estimated down time is estimated at 2 hours. We expect it to be available around 2pm PDT, however we will update you if there are any changes.

    Server stability was no longer up to the standards of quality for STO and was removed to make the game better.

    Well, it wouldn't be a normal STO playing day without a server crash... easiest paycheck in the world!

    Server is still up but people are having probs. I tried to transwarp, got dced and now it is timing out at character retrieval.

    Yep, it's dead, was setting up my kink toon's tac command cruiser and suddenlty could not put move any equipment around, would just sit there and nothing would happen, attempted to logoff and finally it timed out and have not been able to get back on. Login server timing out.

    And now server status has gone red, so it's down

    Looks like....got d/c a few mins ago and now can't get past the "Retrieving List of Characters" message

    Yeah first the exchange and account bank weren't working so I switched toons. Now I can't get past the "Retrieving list of Characters" screen....doh!

    Hamster wheel needs more WD40... and probably a new occupant. Probably forgot to feed it over the 3 day weekend.

    Confirmed. Server timeout or login2 timeout.

    glad its not just me, i get has far has character load screen and it times out:confused::mad:

    Ok, this is actually some what of a relief.. My Character list keep timing out and I started to panic because I thought it was just me.

    Server stability has been deemed an exploit and has been suitably nerfed ;)

    server timed out here in france too... launcher ok, but no way to enter the game just after..

    yep, i was on new romulus, i wanted to do an stf; "waiting for server", i go to my ship; crash and now stuck at "retrieving list of character" and Login2_timeout.

    i was disconnected from the server 2 times today + now. except today, I have never any problems

    I guess it's not just me then. I sit down and decide to give STO another chance and....the servers are down. I'll take this as a sign.

    Well that would explain it. I had tried to buy an item off exchange about 50x, no dice.
