Great, I knew they would extend it to 11:00.

They will likely extend it again. Four hours should be enough to implement a season, but coding is much harder than it looks.

They usually do the major updates on Tuesdays, but the routine maintenance and minor fixes are done on Thursdays.

Not sure why, but it is a long-established custom.

Because usually 30%+ of the content is bugged or otherwise unplayable, so a Thursdays routine maintenance doesnt make such waves like an emergency one ;)

I think it's for avoiding emergency maintenances as much as possible. If bugs (not critical bugs or exploits, at least) are spotted on tuesday or wednesday, they fix them in the "normal" maintenance on thursday.

And if they were pushing major updates on thursdays, there's a good chance that they will have to mobilize part of their personnel on saturday and sunday, for emergency maintenances. Or take the risk to set the forums on fire if bugs / exploits were left unsolved from friday to the next monday.

Oh, that has happened. I remember one case (not too long ago... DR or Winter Event maybe?) where there were three emergency maintenances (Thursday night, Friday morning, AND Monday morning).

I remember that! I felt so annoyed, my friend and I wanted to play and we were blocked by the emergency maintenances. A tribble must have gotten stuck in the servers. :D

I usually expect season patch mornings to be around 6 hours, I cannot remember the last time a season was released as scheduled. If I was in a timezone where it was close to bedtime, I would honestly just go to bed. I live in Hawaii so patches start around 4am for me and I just sleep a little longer. I finished all my homework, gonna drink my coffee, eat my breakfast, and watch some TV. The servers will be up when they're up....

Hell, I do not care how long it takes, just when it come up please do not let it be so buggy that I spend most of my time in my ship surging from point to point; that really sucks! I am disabled and can spend all my time playing this game if not here then Star Citizen or War Thunder. I am going to be blowing TRIBBLE up no matter where I am. LOL :D

Is anybody else getting a DXGI Error Device Hand up code? I have been getting it for awhile now and i can't find a solution to fix it. All the forums i went to say it is cryptic and they have found a way around it but i have a feeling some hard core gamers must have found a way to end the problem.

It's a known error. To get around it log in using safe mode ( from arc launcher, options, safe mode). For graphics options set to DX9 and for safe measure use maximized screen instead of full screen.

Those tricks should remedy the error. If it doesn't then check this topic.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
