Prelude to the Iconian War

When we last saw an Iconian, it was after the attack on Qo'noS in "Surface Tension." That being warned us not to attract their attention again.

We didn't listen.

    AWESOME, cant wait.. These worthy opponents maybe, yet they stand no chance against us, united we will bombard them from orbit in the distant past, we will push them back to the galaxy to which they escaped before and where the Federation will call it enough, our allies shall finish the task at hand this time.

    2 new episodes with season 10, awesome ... would be nice though if they redistributed them and the current level 60 missions to make them available earlier and facilitate an easier leveling experience.

    2 new missions... that's good. Now the only thing we need to know is WHEN exactly season 10 is going to launch. ;)

    I hope I nailed it with that theory, it looks like an interesting plot twist, also quite an spoiler if I'm right.

    I totally expect the first episode to begin on Earth, were you try to warn everyone against the Reap.... I mean Iconian. And then, they attack. Universe is doomed and all that.

    We are many. You are few. We have Worf. You have a person who apparently thinks it's a smart idea to walk into enemy HQ, in front of 60 heavily-armed Klingons, and assassinate the High Council while making an arrogant speech.

    You Iconians are going DOWN.

    See, we have the central advantages of being incredibly fast at adapting tech for our purposes and having semi-functional brains, while you Iconians have a complete lack of tactical ability or even common sense that rivals the sheer idiocies of Lord Chelmsford (legendary for getting half his army killed by the Zulus out of sheer racist stupidity) and Dabulamanzi kaMpande (legendary for getting 600 men out of his 4000-man force killed by a force that he had trapped in a killbox and outnumbered 20-1. While killing 6 of the enemy soldiers). You Iconians have one advantage--you can blow sh*t up with your minds. That is taking you exactly nowhere against the raw bloody-minded determination of the Alpha Quadrant forces.

    Make a darn new NWS like mission with the heralds.... like the war is bad and we are losing more than we can permit.. final stand must be taken this far no further stuff and have some kind of no win scenario like thingie... perhaps defend a starbase or transport or planet or moon with "vital research" that could give us the upper hand against this unbeatable force...
    tactics? to pew pew or not to pew pew?!

    Considering they are supposed to be the ultimate bad guys I'm expecting 10 episodes, 2 battlegrounds, 1 more ground queue, an Iconian alert and a war event.

    In the mission replay Dust to Dust is put after What's Left Behind, which doesn't seem to make much sense judging by this post. Should it be in a different place to make sense story-wise?

    Wait... I have the perfect plan... When the Herald / Iconian lockbox arrives... We get the ships.. we go to Fluidic Space... we shoot a few Undine ships... we GTFO!!! Then we sit back and watch The Undine go on the war path.

    With the amount of lazytude displayed by the new rep armour, we'd be lucky if "Delta Flight" is an actual episode, and not just a PVE-queued event (as hinted to by "elite teams will make surgical strikes against the enemy. Join them in "Delta Flight"")

    why it takes place after? it's even stated as such in the beginning.

    only two new episodes in season 10? I hope all the story we're not getting is replaced with bug fixes and more balancing.

    So, about the New Romulus Iconian Invasion Zone...

    I'm also going to guess Delta Flight will feature the pilot spec ships and maybe...Tom Paris? :P

    i Wonder which race i want to sacrifice....... hmm maybe the Klingons NO, Fed, Rom...... aaarg can not do it. i guess i will fail. why can't we all be nice and stay peaceful. :P

    Every Replay will include the permanent sacrifice of a BOff.

    Except for Tovan Khev. Try to sacrifice him and instead the character making the sacrifice is deleted... :P
    Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

    Will the Neverwinter servers be put on standby so we can enjoy season 10 without the crippling lag we are now experiencing due to the latest NW update or will the NW people get their share of lag while we have a new update?

    Or will you actually add more infrastructure to handle the increased laod instead of being cheap about it and waiting for it to stabilize automatically as irate players stop playing?

    Boy, I see at least one person complaining about the fact we're getting TWO featured episodes on Season 10's launch.

    So far this year, we have gotten "Dust to Dust" and "Uneasy Allies" as episodes.

    Last year, from the beginning of the year we got "A Step Between Stars", "Surface Tension", 14 episodes (at least 6 were patrol wrapper missions) and 10 Kobali prime episodes from Delta Rising and "What's Left Behind to finish out the year. subtracting from the patrol missions, we have 21 total episodes. We've never gotten that much actual story content at all in one year.

    By the time Season 10 comes out, we'll be up to four this year, with more possibly on the way. Don't complain about the fact we're getting story. We might not get it again.

    I think you got it wrong, well just a little. The Sisko will return, and we'll help him take Empok Nor back in time, where he will lead an alliance of races to victory in the first Iconian War.

    Then, after a near death experience, Captain Shon will lead us to ultimate victory. We will then have one last task, expose the president as a member of Section 31 and lead a revolution to save the Federation.
