OK, so for the purposes of this thread we're not interested in tiers, DPS, BOFF station layout, console slots, weapon slots or anything else, this one is all about aesthetics.
In your opinion, which is the best looking ship you own and why?
For me, it has to be the Mobius Temporal Destroyer. Especially with the Upgrade skin on it it looks sleek, menacing and fully capable of living up to its name and simply destroying stuff - the kind of ship you really wouldn't want to meet down a dark alley, so to speak. Combine that with the fact of it being at least a semi-canon design, insofar as it being a variant of the Wells as seen in ST:VOY, and it's a clear winner for me.
In due course I want to get the Aeon skin for it, but that's only going to be more icing on the cake for me.
I'd say a tie between my Fleet Avenger in the upgrade skin and Sovereign refit in upgrade skin for me
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Venture-X, it's sleek, it's big, it's balanced, and it's got a giant gun. I do rather prefer the tri-nacelled versions of the Galaxy line, if only because I'm not a fan of the front-heavy nature of the saucer compared to that empty space between the nacelles. Not to mention the amazing stark-white/black of the 2409 designs. Second place would have to go to the Dheal Warbird, it's a nice Rom design.
The Andromeda would be up there in first, but unfortunately I don't own that skin. :c
Hmm... I adore the Excel, if only for the lines and symmetry, but the Nova has a certain charm and cuteness to it... It's also highly effective at what it does, sort of like a cat I suppose...
Because when I saw ST:3 I was captivated by it's style and absolute logic as a successor to the Constitution. The refit add-ons are minor yet make the ship "better". It is truly a beautiful design.
Then the name ... say it aloud ... excelsior. Yeah, that's a cool word.
In game, this relatively small ship packs a helluva punch.
For me there are two ships. The first one is my FT5U Mogai with the Fleet skin. The Upgrade skin is a very close second. It is a canon design which has been seen on film. The proportions are good. The design shouts "WARBIRD!" to me. So it always looks ruthlessly graceful and lethally elegant.
On the Fed side, I have the Vesta pack. I like the Surveillance version the best. But I use the Engineering Nacelles on it. It is semi canon which is a plus for me. And it looks like a logical progression from the Nova/Rhode Island class.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.

Quoted for truth.
Even though it would make no sense whatsoever from a technology standpoint, I would still buy a T6 Excelsior if they released one.
So awesome.
On the upside, at least the presidio pays homage to its awesomeness in some respects.

Connie & T'Liss. Something about the Fed and Rom ships that started it all...
Fedside, Vesta, Luna and Intrepid are good enough to use most of the time. Soverign, too, is okay. Miranda and Akira are ships I can live with and not scream, Nebula is right on the border...
Most everything else is too "flat" and or "oddly proportioned" to fit with my aesthetics...
Romside, I "suffer" with the T'Varo. That DSD isn't bad looking, either. Otherwise, I tend not to fly tons of Rom stuff, though I could grow attached to the Mogai / Valdore...
KDF, would be D7 (TOS & K'Tinga). Never cared much for the BOP look. Can't say how I'd react to KDF science...
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

1. Galaxy Variants and especially the Andromeda, i just love the wide and grand style, hope there'll be more in ships that follow that design in the future. Monarch variant is just meh. ScreenshotScreenshot
2. Fed Command battlecruiser mix: Saucer, primary pylons, sec. pylons, sec. nacelles: Concorde; lower/upper hull, neck primary nacelles: Presidio.
This makes a futuristic and smooth looking Excelsior 2.0. Screenshot
3. Eclipse with phantom Nacelles (close pylons) in bright white, looks gorgeous! Screenshot
4. Exeter. Sadly there's no bigger T5 version of it.
I just love to tinker the ship models, it's half the fun in STO for me.

Epic - Ambassador. I always loved that ship. The best of the old school design, before they went away with those iconic looks. This is my Fed Eng main ship.
Brute - D'Deridex. This ship looks like you should run for your lives. My Rom Tac uses this beast.
Legendary - K'Tinga. You just can't beat this old legend. My KDF Eng uses this ship.
Respect - Galaxy Dread. Mine has the Galaxy look with Venture saucer. This ship demands respect. And the name fits. USS Yamato.
Punisher - Defiant. My lower level Fed Tac uses this brute.

What about you guys?
For fed, either the sexy chrome trimmed fleet avenger, or yes, the mobius with the aeon skin. The carbon fiber look of it is just niiiice. For kdf im going with the qib with nukara shields and deflector. Rom idk theyre all pretty fugly imho
Edit: romulan actually ill go with t'varo or t'liss.. Always did like that one particular romulan ship design
And for non faction specific ill go with my d'koras (probably in my top five trek ship designs period) particularly with the khg shield, and the narcine
Federation, I'll say the Gladius and the Regent tie (one of my captains uses the FACR and cycles the ship's look through Regent, Sovereign and Imperial a fair amount).
For the Klingons, there's the Vor'cha, so far out ahead of the pack it isn't even close. Still, an honorable mention to the SuQob raptor, man do I wish that had an endgame version.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)
My guess is "hope" keeps people not playing but posting on the forums. For others, its a path of sad realization and closure. Grieving takes time. The worst "haters" here love the game, or did at some point.
Honestly I like the Risian Corvette. It is a pretty little boat with lots of nice color options. Yes I know it is hardly canon, however even non-canon it still really screams Star Trek at me.
I've loved my Vesta Aventine class since I first got my hands on it. If it was Sovereign sized it'd be even better.
Lately however, I got myself a Guardian. Did away with the flimsy mini nacelles and the neck ribbing. It's got dark blue and black highlights and looks great in any light.
Now I understand that I'm posting in the Federation Shipyards so I've confined myself to Federation ships but the one that I always go back to is the Bortasqu'. It's a slow menacing beast that'll make mirror Worf feel proud to be Klingon. Just don't let an escort get too close. We know how that ends.

The Fed command ships would be my second. I just really like the look of them for some reason.

I probably tend to Sovereign a little more than to the others.
I also kinda like the Intrepid Class, but in my personal opinion, I think that the Warp Nacelles (or whatever you call them in english) are too short.
The Andromeda would be up there in first, but unfortunately I don't own that skin. :c

Hey, give the excelsior a glossier finish and keep the overall proportions and you can easily redo the ship...
On my Romulan, I really like the Fleet Ha'aapax though I don't use it much. With the dark skin and the sweeping wings, it's a mean looking ship.
Of the ships I don't own, my favorites are the Tempest Skin on the Patrol Escort Refit, and the Excelsior skin that looks like Enterprise B.
Brute - D'Deridex. This ship looks like you should run for your lives. My Rom Tac uses this beast.

Close second, stock GalX with Reman shields.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
Bellerophon is a close second. Beautiful thing.
