No, you aren't alone. Not sure what has the game so messed up. For me, I never get past the launcher. It updates every single time, because of a fatal cryptic error and needs to verify all files. Then, you see the "ENGAGE" button finally come up. Click on it, then you watch as the little bar gets to just past 75%, screen darkens, and after a few seconds it crashes. It even has a nifty message pop up letting you know it crashed. Yeah, that's been me all day long.

I have found that I can'r even connect to the Patch Server at all not, neither from a Standalone launcher, or the steam launcher. Why is it that the game has become so uncooperative since the recent patch
With all the disconnects, lag spikes, login failures and forum posts, finally the login screen acknowledges they are having technical difficulties... with the "website". But unbelievably it also states normal game play is not affected! What?! None of this can be considered normal. My entire fleet was complaining that stf's are undoable with the lag. That userinterface was taking two minutes on a single click to respond if they were not booted from the server. Game play not affected? Really? Server status button does not even show. Gateway unusable. All this and we are supposed to have a fleet anniversary party tomorrow. Good luck with that right? :rolleyes:
Been having the same problems since the patch on 4/7/15. Gets especially bad after 5PM EST with server timeouts and disconnects. Tonight it became totally unplayable by 7PM EST and I just gave up. I have never had these problems before.

I have noticed that 3rd jump timeout in a lot of users tracers, but I don't think that is the problem. It seems to be more on Cryptics side and the rest of my internet works fine. I have pinged the server too with no packet loss.
You guys really need to work on this fast, as the game has been totally unplayable most of the week.

Finally figured out why it's so laggy. For the first time ever, I found myself stuck in a login queue twice. All Cryptic had to do was come out and say they were experiencing issues with high user volume, and that would have been fine. Seems the servers have been very overloaded despite what others on the forums have been saying to the contrary. I'm guessing they want to wait it out rather than add more hardware to address the issue. Add the hardware and be done with it already.

The Devs look into this issue Constantly. but the Fact that there are well over 10 Bug Threads all about the same issue because no one can look for a duplicate before posting just makes their job harder. They are doing what they can but with the massive influx of new players for the Delta Recruit Event, its going to take a toll on the servers and the devs are constantly adapting.

Wow, launcher (non-arc) takes super long to load. After entering password it's STILL sitting there doing version check or whatever. GJ on getting this problem solved. Even worse now than the last post I did a couple days ago.

Well, that was fun. Connection to the Login Server timed out. And it only took FOUR minutes to do so. Guess I'll go back to playing a game that doesn't have sucky connection issues.

I have noticed that 3rd jump timeout in a lot of users tracers, but I don't think that is the problem. It seems to be more on Cryptics side and the rest of my internet works fine. I have pinged the server too with no packet loss.
You guys really need to work on this fast, as the game has been totally unplayable most of the week.

Well, we're now into Monday 4/13 and I still can't get past the launcher screen - my IP provider is AT&T if that makes a difference. Someone please help.
The Devs look into this issue Constantly. but the Fact that there are well over 10 Bug Threads all about the same issue because no one can look for a duplicate before posting just makes their job harder. They are doing what they can but with the massive influx of new players for the Delta Recruit Event, its going to take a toll on the servers and the devs are constantly adapting.

Well, that was fun. Connection to the Login Server timed out. And it only took FOUR minutes to do so. Guess I'll go back to playing a game that doesn't have sucky connection issues.
