No, the Tac one is the pocket one. And I am not sure if it is still bugged, but there is a color link problem between the pockets and other uniform parts.
I like the TWoK uniforms except for the fact they look more like dress uniforms than anything else. They don't look at all appropriate for day-to-day operations.
I like the early DS9/Voyager and First Contact/late DS9 uniforms the best.

I dunno about that. Take a look at these guys, I think they knew a thing or two about life in the navy Esp in an era where sonic showers didn't exist!
It was the kind of look in general when different people took over after the disappointment of TMP (even the uniforms of TMP were awful). Do note that the officers had the more elaborate uniforms compared to the enlisted/regular sailors, and that's exactly how it happened with the TWOK style uniforms.
It's a very common naval tradition that the officers aboard ship were a bit more "dressier" in their uniforms compared to the rank and file. Even in today's navy's it's like that. You'll see seamen in workman-like attire to include the coveralls worn in the US Navy. While Chief Petty Officers and Officers could wear the same, it was not surprising to see them in something fancier like "khakis."
I love the latter TNG uniforms, the TNG movie uniforms, along with the AGT uniforms. Since playing STO, I have all my early Story bridge officers wear the Sierra 1, but the Ground Security will get the Antares 1 with no rank and dull colored combadges. By the Cardassian storyline, I place the bridge officers in the Jupiter 1 uniforms, Ground Security no change, and if I have any Alien Exchange Officers, they will be placed in a temporary duty auxiliary uniform, generally the ENT uniform with the Chief Rank.
By endgame, they are now in Odyssey Uniforms, but Ground Security will get a Green Dept for being changed to MACOs. Now, recently, the MACOs get that new blue shoulder with gold piping as shown on the MACO USMC style Delta Recruit poster. I love that uniform.

For me, it's the First Contact uniforms, with the DS-9/Voyager uniforms a close second. Both look like practical, wearable uniforms where overall organisational allegiance was more important than the departmental specialisation emphasized by the ToS/TNG uniforms. I never liked the WoK uniforms, they always seemed 'too fussy', and the bell-bottom on the pants always looked stupid IMHO, and while the TMP uniforms really have that pyjama-vibe, they were still more streamlined than the WoK successors, and to me, give the vibe of a 'hot climate' uniform. The DS-9 Desert Uniform was rather cool. I really like the styling of the Odyssey uniforms, in so much as it has all the styling details which says 'Starfleet', but I don't like the idea of white being for commanding officers. As mentioned upthread, it makes them too easy a target, and on a personal level, I prefer white being reserved for dress uniforms... Cool topic though, some interesting thoughts :cool:
For me, in game Odyssey practical and sleek modern looking, only the white shoulders for captains is a bit to stand out off the crowd in a fight.
Enemy commander: Kill the captains, enemy soldier: who is that its dark here? commander: the one with the withe shoulders: soldier: ah there bam! ah there bam! etc. Commander now kill the rest!!!

TWoK uniforms are to military like and that flap is not practical in a close combat fight.
Given the existence of scoped weapons, wearing your rank insignia on your neck in a contrasting color is enough to mark who's "in charge". OTOH, you also need to take into account psychology - to a Klingon, for instance, the death of a superior officer means promotion, not disarray; they'd want to shoot the ones with the heaviest weapons first instead. (It's why I preferentially target Targ Handlers and Munitions Officers, although the game wants me to shoot Swordmasters; a Swordmaster is a threat, yes, but Targ Handlers and Munitions Officers keep making new threats.)
I mean, yeah - it is a little odd, but that's mostly because we never saw a uniform in the TV series where a Captain's uniform (aside from rank) was any different to the lower-ranked officers.
But on the flip-side, the same applies to Admirals; most of whom walk around with a very large rank-bar on their collar and gold piping on their uniforms......
There was Kirk's green wraparound top, and Picard's grey uniform top with burgundy overcoat combo, but mostly, yeah, they were just seen as 'officers'...
I'd have to say my favorite screen uniform is the TNG Movie/DS9-later-season one. It actually looks like a practical uniform, and the combadge is fantastic.
In-game, the Oddy uniform with the TNG-Movie badge looks the best to me. Like others, i didn't care for the white shoulder look for captains either though, so I went with the long coat instead (used the same gray shoulders/black coat coloring as the rest of the officers). Looks amazing, IMO.

The brown wraparound 'Cage era' (Worn in Charlie X), Kirks green wraparounds (2 types), Kirks sleeveless white TMP uniform, TWOK white collar, Picards jacket and grey undershirt (both jackets), Picards and Sisko's waistcoat / vest (the First Contact style), The gold trimmed AGT uniform. Almost every uniform had a distinctive captains variant.
Not just that but TOS Klingons had the big sash, TNG Klingon captains had the open collared uniform, Romulan officers had the silver-checked top in TNG and big red sashes in TOS.

Having said that, I think I'm the only person that actually liked the look of the TMP uniforms, aside from the integrated boots. Rather glad the STO version separated them, looks much better that way. Now, if I could just ditch the buckle on the front of the tunic...

My fav trek uniform was TNG until i realized how impractical they are, lol.
(no pockets, not really suited for away team missions and so on.) But i like what it stands for.
My second choice would be the TOS uni and (run for cover) the JJ uniforms.
I really don't like the WOK uniforms they look just too formal to me.
Early DS9/Voy and TNG movie uniforms are just too dark, that's not what i associate with Starfleet.
So i'd end up with a updated TNG uniorm, using the Odyssey uniform parts.
Maybe one day i'll try making a updated TOS like uniform with modern uniform parts.

My favourite Uniform in canon would have to be the Late DS9 uniform, followed closely by the Enterprise Uniform.
In-Game, my character wears the Odyssey Uniform with grey shoulder bar, divisional coloured highlight and a silver matching the shoulder bar for the piping. Second to that is the Jupiter 4 Uniform and then the Sierra 1 Uniform.

Takeshi may be pretty good on the ground (Modern Samurai, and really good with that sword of his), he is primarily a Pilot, so in my headcanon he tends to stay on the ship rather than go on Away Missions.

You guys do know we're not supposed to wear the white-shoulder uniforms on away missions, right? That's what the Odyssey Tactical uniform is for.
The whole "away mission/team" thing has always been a gripe of mine, it always sounds like something a five year old would've coined. TOS's landing party's sounded more like a real term.

Turns out not so much. The original term refers to a sports team playing away from its home field (and thus not enjoying the home-field advantage); TNG was the first to apply "away team" to a landing (or shore) party. There's also a North Carolina hip-hop duo called the Away Team, according to Wikipedia.

The white shoulders are a nod to the Honor Harrington Universe where the commander of an FTL ship wear a white beret.
