Warriors! Qo'noS is being invaded and the First City is in flames! We must not allow them to force the Klingon Empire to its knees! Fight gloriously!

The fate of the Empire now rests in your hands! Fight gloriously!

It's a Federation ploy, just like they went after the Romulans...they're now going after the Klingons. Will there be no end to the threat the Federation poses to the galaxy???

Looks cool. It's always good when they use klingon assets because it means they probably had to polish them up and that's never a bad thing for the kdf.

PvE queues would be a lot more fun if they had a proper RNG drop table like the STF's used to have before the reputation system, and like the majority of MMORPG's have.

Personally I'd have Elite Queues give Mk XIV Epic quality version of reputation gear as a Very Rare drop.
That way they can potentially be VERY Rewarding to play, while not giving more casual players the short end of the stick.(they would still be able to obtain the same gear, just through buying and upgrading like now.)

A new queue. Nice. But, as will happen with all queues, it'll either die quickly like the Undine queues, or people will go private on them to avoid noob pugs.
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

Please don't tell me that Season 11 will bring "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" to STO...

Seriously, though... ground queue on Planet Klink? SWEET. :D

Ha! They are foolish enough to start a ground battle? On Qo'nos?!
Ready supplies of blood wine, lots of fellow warriors and things to hit... sounds like a national holiday really.

That said, are you sure that picture in the article is damage from an invasion? Looks more like the aftermath of an honourguard victory celebration with all you can drink bloodwine and warnog...

So First City in flames, I wonder if this means we'll be getting an updated First City similar to the job done on ESD (aka please show some love to the KDF :D).

Needs more info. Lore behind this? What happened? How did it happen? More explanation about the mechanincs, details and goals in the queue?
This just says there's a new queue comming, not very informative really.

Going after the Klingons? Nah, my Federation characters will be ready to fight side by side with our little Klingon friends :P

I'm also wondering which mission happened first: The Herald Sphere queue or this new mission?

Did the Iconians (if it's them attacking Kronos) attack first or is it the Alliance that first attacks the new Sphere?

On a side note: if there's NPC's in the new missions, I hope they put in a few Cardassians, Ferengi en Xindi. We helped the Cardassians and Ferengi repel Undine attacks after all, it would be nice to see these species playing a bigger role in the new Alliance battles.

If I were to hazard a guess, they need to tell us about the new queue mission because it's going to hit Tribble for testing. But they're not ready to spill all of the details just yet.

I'll be happy to play this but who in their right mind thinks Qo'nos is a softer Target than Earth?

Makes me want a Breen sneak attack on Andor ground fight.

Reusing the Vulcan ground assets for a similiar mission could be fun as well.

I hope this is the begining of some fun ground group missions, been using all the marks from the CCE to gear up my primary toons with ground sets from each rep to play with, so this is perfect timing.

Something on the Gorn homeworld, with an attempted takeover be Gorn Rebels would be fun as well.

Defend Bajor from servants of the Pah Wraiths, oh this leads to a wellspring of ideas.

A ground invasion of Qo'nos makes me think that Stage 2 of the Iconian's Cunning Scheme is fighting a land war in Asia while invading Russia during winter.

I wonder if the first blow in the war with Iconians is them attacking the 3 homeworlds

Perhaps it is not about it being a softer target, actually, but that simply the Klingons are the superior warriors and the Iconians aren't as concerned with the Federation pencil pushers...why waste resources on the Federation?

    First City is in flames!

Instead of helping the Klingons, can I get the option to dump an oceans worth of gasoline on the First City?

They just put into their plans that the federation will drown in their own tears. Where as this cannot happen to the Glorious Empire because we has no tear ducts.

Although I need more carrot to balance out the forum tantrums vs fun playable content. In all seriousness so far with intel and command ships all I get out of them is laggy keyboard face rolling. Need something more meaningful and more Klingon. So I hope this isn't all what season 10 is but for those who can still enjoy it may you dine on trill steaks and bloodwine.

Klingons are a more open, more aggressive warrior. When push comes to shove, the Federation - and Humans in particular, seem to be the more dangerous race. As to 'softer target' - the average human is a much less able fighter, but Earth just went through a serious fortification after ESD was seriously damaged. I doubt the only 'upgrade' Earth got was the Starbase. Look how many npc ships constantly patrol Sol now.

In either case, to Qo'nos, and to victory!

Though in a little over a year going from 'shooting Klingons' to 'saving Klingons' is going to be an interesting change.

If the forums wouldn't sink under the weight of the flood of tears, the Klingons would have long ago conquered the Federation and put Starfleet to work doing pedicures for targs.

I'm going to guess it will be on tribble today, since the Harold Sphere PvE queue popped on there the same day as a blog.

Been the trend recently to tribble tests, its on their the same day as the blog.

Since the Colony Invasion queue has been dead for some time....

It is good to have a replacement.

But can we get back some of the old ground missions as well like Starbase 24 ground and Deep Space Nine: Under Siege.

Also, since it is nearly impossible to get 20 people to queue for Breaking the Planet, Big Dig, and Mine Trap and lower the difficulty accordingly.

The Klingons are the best at what warriors do: die gloriously.

Humans prefer to win and live.
