Is it me or is Feedback Pulse more deadly than ever. Any idiot with a feedback pulse can now kill an escort in alpha strike.
It does not even seem to matter wether or not they spec into Part Gen. With escorts getting so much more destructive I can see the need for balancing but my escort has been dying within it's first strike of surg strikes 3 or crf 2
I get the whole idea of this game developing and so is always a work in progress but surely an escort instapopping itself is a little mad.
Still loving the game tho. Congrats on the new boff training, the ui is much clearer.

Now, I personally feel that Particle Manipulator has made anything particle-generator related a tad screwy, but I don't think someone using Surgical Strikes (the ultimate in spike damage and frequently argued to be somewhat unbalanced) should be complaining.

yep its broke as a joke, one of the key factors in the current pvp ruination. sci caps think thier ships need to be the best at every role though, so they will bend over backward to defend its broken magnitude. last time exotic damage wasn't totally broken op in pvp was season 8.
feedback returns an amount back to you, most fbp boats can easily get to a 2or 3 return with little effort (consoles, skill points, deflector, etc)
and depending on the fbp (1,2, or 3) you do 100 damage and he can send back to you 300, and so on
FBP damage also has 50% shield pen, so even if it returns less then 100% back, the person shooting is getting hit MUUUUUUUUUCH harder then the person getting hit. thanks to the crafting trait, FBpulses will almost always crit too.
a single weapons cycle of CRF, or ever activating FAW is a death sentence, wile the sci ship just stays within 10 of you. and runs ALL it's defense skills and ALL its offense out of a single sub system, or in the case of complementary torps, not needing any power levels in anything.

FBP is total bull#### now,,,some say "oh just get a torp boat" well i run an energy wep boat on an escort, im not going to spend zen to respec and spend ECs or dilith to get all torps/mines/consoles just to combat 1-2 idiots that are running a sci ship speced in part gens, with all the rom embassy part gen consoles and or deflectors and what not that boost that stuff. Its crazy, you are right, one alpha that crits with a BO when someone pops FBP and you practically one shot yourself, its stupid as hell. People talk about having no skill,,i would say killer FBP builds are the most skilless thing in the game,,,"oh pop this button and just float around and watch everyone commit mass suicide yay im a pro now"
As to watching buffs and stopping firing as and when needed, I have done these things. I don't think some of you listened when I said that I am getting instapopped!!!!

There's just too much damage flying around, they need to release a Duty Officer that allows FBP to reflect torpedo damage... This will counter that neutronic torpedo. For balance reasons the doff will disable energy feedback and trade it for kinetic.

The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.
FBP has a very long cooldown, and it does not last long. Its pretty balanced I would say, due to those two things... drop your target, do a 180, and get out of there until it wears off. Or, do TBR and knock them out of range. Or something.
Yes, if you shoot something too much with it up, you will kill yourself. That is what the skill does. It makes huge, bright blue blobs on the screen. Can't miss it ... stop shooting.

Some of you say "oh just watch the buffs and dont shoot" i have a fleetmate that runs 2x copy FBP,,so his downtime is small, and he is full of cheesy sci TRIBBLE,,the window to hit him is so small i practically cannot kill him,,soon as i catch FBP on CD he hits me with sci cheese that screws me all up and when thats done his FBP is back up again, FBP needs nerfed, not buffed, that is insane to fire one cycle at someone and it literally blows you up when your 100% shields/hull.

FBP is no more annoying than escorts using surgical strikes to insta pop targets. You can't say the crazy damage escorts are putting out is perfectly fine and complain about a countermeasure.
Wait for fbp to cooldown then vape them. Or don't shoot them for the duration and shoot someone else. Or have high enough resists that your reflected damage can't kill you. Or mount some torps and shoot those. Or subnuke the guy.

ive been killed in a single CRF cycle. if you use FAW and theres a FBP boat on the other team you practicly kill yourself. FBP durration is as long as any energy weapon buff, and its cooldown isnt that low, same as TSS, and most run 2 copies. unlike any tac ship these FBP ships just got to worry about axu and shield power to tank and deal all their non torp damage. between cooldowns there's RSP, for the voth sci there's it's FBP console, temporal can turn back the clock, there's hardly any time were they are vulnerable. plus even being around them puts you on the defensive cause your getting your hull torn up by torp spam and TBR and any attempt to fight back gets you killed faster.

I have a fleet neutronium,,am speced in resist values, and use aux2damp which boost them even more, and easily one firing cycle from me coming back will kill me, or at least put me at 20% hull which means any fool at that point can run up on me and instakill me.
I cannot use subnuke in my ship.
If i use torps then i need to respec as im not speced in kinetic damage.
i ment my CRF cycle into a FBP ship it activated as soon as i opened fire. but ya mk14 weapon zindies have just about been killing with 1 CRF cycle since DR too lol.

the last time FBP was balanced was season 8, before the super boosted crafting exotic damage buff. 1 CRF cycle, and ever using FAW, should never be a death sentence, you cant be serious saying post season 8 FBP is balanced.
