I won't be grinding for the ship this time. I wouldn't grind for it if it was a Jem Hadar Attack Ship with T6 everything.

My problem is the grind itself. Why do we NEED to grind for it? Why not let us sign in, say hello to an NPC, get a token and then do the same thing in 24 hours?

What's with the extra layer of grind? We're customers using a product, not rats in a maze.

Agreed - NOT a fan of how these anniversary events play out.

    Grind anniversary episode for ship.
    Grind again for deflector
    Grind again for shields
    Grind again for engine
Grind again for Secondary Deflector (?)

And it makes the lack of alt friendliness even worse.

Saying that, I don't think I am interested in this Kobali ship anyway. It's the 5th anniversary; it should feel more 'special' than this.

If only it was that easy!

Personally I would prefer to do a mission 5 times than doing that childish Q mini-game 25 times

It's forbidden to speak or link leaks on the official forum.
Mods and devs are not keen about people doing that :)

Is any of the information from that site really valid? I don´t know on which site i saw it but they had Mk XIV back in 2012 which obviously wasn´t true.

And btw, if the Kobali have ships why are they not using them to bombard the Vaadwaur from Orbit. Or why are we not doing that? there are no Vaadwaur in orbit around Kobali Prome but swarms of them on the ground.

But i would Love the Vaadwaur Cruiser and Escort but since i will not spend much EC or ZEN on Lockbox keys i probably won´t have any Luck.

That leaks site has been very accurate in recent seasons, only thing they had pre DR that wasn't correct was the playable kazon carrier, which may simply be something they decided to hold back for the time being.

Would still rather the Kobali ship was a DOFF or Crafting box prize. It just doesn't 'feel' special enough for a 5th year anniversary prize.

    Amen to that.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I'm guessing it'll be Voyager-related, seeing as we have Delta Quad and also Voyager's anniversary.

What ships have we seen from that show but don't have in-game?

    I'd entirely agree.

I would like/would have liked (depending on accuracy of said rumours) them to do something around new T6 variants of one of each faction's "hero ships" for this one - so perhaps something with the Galaxy, D'Deridex and Vor'cha for example.

A Kobali ship would be...rather underwhelming to say the least.

Whats with the obsession with some of the most Fugly ships ever.. I know un canons the wrong term but is it too much to ask for that we actually get some ships that look like they belong in the ST universe and would be flown by the FED/Roms or KDF..

5 minutes parked outside spacedock looks like the Federation spent all its resources at a second hand sale in Alien garages.

We have the ships from the water planet, they haven't made it in game yet.

There is also that ship from the Voyager episode where a creature is tricking the crew into thinking they are going home, so it can eat the ship.

    And the Enterprise J.

While I appreciate the efforts the Cryptic team have put into bringing us new content, for an Anniversary ship, Kobali would be so underwhelming.

It should be Fed/KDF/Rom focused. Jupiter class anyone? :D j/k

It will be a T6 Nova - the Reyan class.

In memory of the late reyan01 who fought so desperate for this.
Now he has got the ship, but cant use it.

    What a shame.

okay so let me get this straight. The Federation violates all kinds of prime directive laws by jumping into a fight between the kobali and the vaaduar, and now im seeing OMEGA crafting items (refering to the leak link)? Didn't we spend the better pay off a year fighting off dino exo suits and TRex laser beams because we thought using omega particles was a BAD idea?

And a ship of the undead as a prize? Meh.

Yeah does appear that the sacrifice of all my poor bridge officers I threw at those t-rexes was in vain.

"Omega Directive...pah, just go build us a super-mega-kills-everything weapon instead. We should be explorers I hear you say...send this traitor off to a penal colony, we'll have now peacful nonsense here!"

The only canon Klingon ship to make it to the DQ was, of all things, a D7 (VOY: Prophecy).

So the early post which suggested a T6 Kamarag would be bang on the money in identifying a close 25th century successor - which could also credibly fill the Command and Sci-orientation roles.

It's logical. It fits the theme perfectly. Players would love it (heck, make it open to Roms as a T6 Stormbird...).

Which means it won't happen.

There's the cloak prototype ship that Kim commanded.

Jupiter? That ship is so hideous it has crashed the ugly scale. Don't even mention that monstrosity again.

I'm hoping for solid science ships for Romulan and KDF players at the T6 level like they did for Fed. Fleeting hope mind you but it's the only thing that would be decent quite frankly. If they want to one up me on that they'd offer more choices like they did with the fed ships to bring up the number of cruisers and science on par with the Federation faction T6 offerings.

The reality is I think some goofy alien ship that won't be worth the bother.

To be fair, so far as ships are concerned, common sense flew out the window when they made it possible for us to use 8472 bio-ships.

Since they're living ships maybe we just offered them better pet food.

That's exactly what it sounds like. That's it, my crew is going AWOL. If the plot starts to make sense again we'll be cloaked some where around Risa.

I'm in very deep denial that it's a Kobali ship. I'm developing very foolish hopes that they're still doing the one-ship-per-fac thing and that the Typhoon will be the Fed ship.

It certainly does give the impression that the Federation is incapable of producing it's own ships.
I took it as the Federation is more capable than the KDF at raiding, pillaging, and plunder- I mean, boarding, capturing, and salvaging enemy ships. Or negotiating them off the black market for reverse-engineering and development (many of the ships mention them being stripped of advanced tech for R&D and refitted for standard use).

If you search the web for datamined STO leaks, you'll find that there are a few ships in the pipe. It's just not clear which of them will be for the anniversary.

Edit: Nevermind. Someone spilled the beans already...

At that size is it flying, floating or drifting?
