why just 8 weapons ... its not suppose to be like that ...
You're joking but I'd be fine with that, it would lessen the hit of having one mismatch weapon and make running torpedoes and mines not that bad an idea.
Well first let me just say that I'm STILL waiting on sci ships to be updated. It's been how many patches now in how many seasons? 3 seasons and 10 patches each time we keep being told we'll get these deflectors. smh
Second, I can totally see cruisers getting secondary shields systems because they are big enough to get them, but they would have to compensate for that somehow in pvp and we all know that the derped easybutton tacticals in escorts wouldn't like that so there you go, we'd hear a great wailing from the deep if that happened.
I want Tertiary Shields with Tertiary Warp Cores. I also want a "Elite Engineering Team" that when my hull goes down to 25%, it restores my hull & shields to 100% and it does not affect Engineer's "Miracle Worker." It should also make me passively immune to all Science based attacks 100% of the time, because I never knew how to counter them, and I don't want to bother to learn how to counter them. I still want as I mentioned before, my 8 Emergency Weapon Slots that drain no power. And makes all weapons slotted in them have 360 degree firing arc. It would also add +20 Power to every Subsystem.
I also want 2 inherent ship traits:
"Punch it" allows the ship to Mega-Transwarp-Teleport to any system in the game map as you hear the crunching sound of your captain eating an apple.
"FIRE EVERAHTHING" fires all weapons at all targets in a 360 degree arc with 100% accuracy, crit hit, and crit severity bonus for 1 minute.
With these systems in place, golden magic glitter appears and magically adds the following suffixes in random order at the end of your ship's name:
"Dreadnought"
"Battleship"
"Carrier"
"Battlecruiser"
With "of Doom" as the very last suffix.
Yeah, it wasn't an announcement, it was just going through the kind of thinking something like new item slots - specifically with the example of armour - on a ship would go through.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
The warship Voyager was a Kyrian reconstruction of the USS Voyager, based on badly corroded schematics found in the Syrric Ocean. It played a prominent role in The Voyager Encounter, a holographic simulation in the Museum of Kyrian Heritage, which depicted Voyager's biogenic attacks on the Kyrians at the start of the Great War.
The starship featured:
300 soldiers, including those assimilated from Delta Quadrant species such as the Kazon
A triple-armored hull
30 torpedo tubes
25 phaser banks
Assault probes and fighter-shuttles
A complement of Borg warrior-drones
An Emergency Medical Android
The Kyrians claimed that the Warship Voyager was captained by a cold and merciless Captain Kathryn Janeway, its crew were extremely violent, even to each other and insubordination was both common and never officially dealt with. The crew had no objections to massacring entire planets and Janeway was shown to be impatient when fatalities were not rapid enough. (VOY: "Living Witness")

You know, they actually have already implemented this change. From the original reference:
Thanks for starting this discussion.
Armor means Damage Resistance (to be consistent with ground Armor). Other enhancement bonuses can be available
Option 1:
? Only Cruisers Get Armor.
? No other changes needed (simple).
? We couldn't integrate armor as set piece for everyone, but it could possibly become part of a set only usable by cruisers.
This was implemented in T5-U/T6 Cruiser with damage resistances (2 of 4/5 steps).
For people arguing about cannon on this thread, I will kindly quote sig of forum user thecosmic1
"STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game."

True enough but we all know how canon STO is right?

There, I hope that explains everything.
