You're not new here so you should know that doom threads haven't been allowed since the ftc went up several months ago. The single doom thread was the only one allowed to be kept open.

There is only 1 officially sanctioned DOOOOM thread. Mostly because its a running gag now.

If you mean the FCT, then I must tell you that the last I knew, it told us to put all doom posts in the doom thread only. It only did not want people constantly making new doom threads, that is its role, FCT, Frequently Created Threads.
Now I'm gonna see people throwing the FCT into the wind and it's gonna be doomagedon.
Where have you been? Doom posts have been banned (as in closed immediately) for a while now. Welcome to Earth.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
Remember, the people from "The Best Thread Ever and Players love it" got the DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM thread closed out of a pissy little fit.
Exactly. We'd had this nice little outlet for sarcastic humor, sometimes poking fun at the state of the game and sometimes at the people calling for STO's imminent demise (four years and counting of imminent demise), and then some folks and to come in and spam their jerk attitudes all over it like videogames are SRS BIZNSS or something. And *poof* went the thread.

Thanks freaking loads, guys.
And the poor mods had no choice in the face of the evil comunity.

To be honest I think the mods have shot themselves in the foot with this one, the huge doom thread was the only thing preventing the return to the old situation of having half a dozen new doom threads every week.

The fct was posted to the forum in july. That means with the single exception doom threads haven't been allowed since july. We're talking nearly 6 months. And the doom thread wasn't about doom. It was about sarcasm and humor. That means doom threads have been gone for almost 6 months. Seems pointless to make a big deal about it now.
And the poor mods had no choice in the face of the evil comunity.
If you're holding a nice party, and some of your guests start throwing your living-room furniture and screaming obscenities because they don't like your dance music, are you obligated to simply stand there and let them continue? Or do you escort them out?
Why should Cryptic be obligated to let people befoul their private property - these forums? It's not like the Terms of Service are obscure, or difficult to find...

There was half a dozen new doom threads. There is a few right now on page 1 of General Discussion

Because they mistrat the playerbase with crappy content and mocking statments like Players love DR, and you can defent their right all you want, but the forum gone still get a lot off pissed people complaining with or without rules. like it or not...unless they ban everyone that dissent.

based on your posts today I'll guess your primary account was banned recently and this is you 'getting back at the man' for doing that to you.

There was some worry before DR was announced, we all knew that the content was getting smaller and smaller, and that Expansion Two had to not be bad, after all, that is where most of the resources went to. And where did I post? The doom thread. The doom thread is like a pressure release valve on a water heater. Now, with out anywhere for the building pressure to go, we best find a bunker before the water heater blasts its way out of the house and comes crashing back to earth.

if you want a 'pressure valve' get a therapist. your way of releasing pressure on a forum just builds up someone else's.
you want to complain about the game post in any of the 500 thread complaining every day. you want to shout 'doom' expect it to get closed. it's been that way since july.
more flame war... moooree... but seriously, why they just dont delete threads/replys and ban peps? ah wait - we can create new accounts oh...
like my reply to bluegek after warn - its waste of time, explaining anything, now we have forum in total fire - thats really bad marketing to any company... but i dont care about that, everything is awesome here ^^

Doesn't help with our instinct to preserve STO. I'd also be careful not to troll.

But if there is a masive ban of "pseudoaccounts" ¿who loses more? ¿the pep benig censored or the company that get a very bad image of their capacity at manage a discontent cumunity and that any new player/wallet could see?
Remeber something, there is many other ways of comunicate discontent, fb, ts, wasup, twiter etc, but when a new player comes and get into a fleet to look for help and support he will ask ¿do i should buy x thing? and many of the pissed people in game are on fleet, just imagine their answer... then you see why keep a bad relation with the comunity can lead to people not telling good things about the game to their new players.
So Who loses more, the one with a "pseudoaccount banned" or the comapny who can lose a sale?

Because this is not a private party its a public space and kicking people out because you dont like there opinion is going against freedom of speech

Not anymore, doom befell it in the form of Smirk.
At least we made fun of all the Doom and Gloom that people kept posting because most of it was unfounded or overreacting.

They thought they were funny and clever but in reality they punished many from their childish actions.

That was doom threads, not doom posts, doom posts were told to go into the doom thread.

Does your head hurt yet? Still more fun than grinding dilithium to upgrade gear...

Can't do that... I've used all my dilithium for today
