Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
I would like to have more "hero" doffs that beam down to assist the player instead of generic red shirts. We have the Epic EMH Mk I that does that now for hypo use, it's high time security team got the same treatment!

I've got too many characters to doff them all, but after doing a couple of boffs, I figured I ought to make one for the character I spend the most time on:
E: Ah, the behind-the-head portrait, that's what I left out. I am not good at computer
Out-of-universe backstory: I used to have a KDF foundry character on tribble, Luth was one of her Boffs. I liked the look so much that I made not one but 3 copies of the character on the live server. Then I made a backstory to explain why there is more than one.
In-universe backstory: Luth is a parasitic entity that apparently originated somewhere in the Gamma Quadrant. Luth has the ability to replicate by using a virus to overwrite the DNA and memories of the victim. Each time the result is slightly different, but each has the same purpose in life.... what the purpose is though.... is known to only Luth.
Oh and the ability came from a merger of two things that frustrate me.
1: Nanoprobe infestation is semi-suicidal.
2: STO lacks corpse removal.
So I decided on something inspired by the Zookeeper Necromancer build. Creating armies of minions as you fight is fun! And enemies that revive themselves are annoying... so descreate their corpses and make minions out of them!
