Faction specific co-operative hybrids I think. The mission could be a way of writing out the borg as they did with the undine at the start of DR.
Just a thought.
If that is the case I hope we actually get some ships model variants for the Oddy and Bort... I would love each of the variants to look slight more to their role... Tactical Oddy more sleek and Aggressive, Engineering Oddy as is and the Sci Oddy more Sensors and bigger deflector for example.
I think it would be a big cop out for Cryptic just to release the same modelled ships with just updated stats....
That leads onto another thought, what would their T5 Star Ship Mastery abilities be?
I'm betting that the anniversary mission itself will be level 60 only. So all those people who haven't gotten to 60 yet... though *insert other term for TRIBBLE*.
Which is why there's a Bonus XP Weekend coming in the middle of January...
I do t think this is it but, an example art of the New Orleans class was spotted in the foundry.
I know this is a long shot, but you wouldn't happen to have a screen shot, would ya?
Anyway, it would be nice if the anniversary ship was something canon for the Federation/Klingon Empire. And something new and awesome for the Republic.

I'm expecting new and awesome for all really. a Borg Cooperative ship of some sort definitely seems possible. not a full borg ship, but something derived from Borg tech much like the Adapted ships.
My guess is it will be something escort based, if not escort probably cruiser based.
So far we've had 2 Cruisers and a *Science* Destroyer...so likely I'd say we'll probably get some type of Escort...can't see it being Science based unless they finally release Secondary Deflectors a year after they promised them.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
Mark my words: Fleet versions of the T6 ships. New lockbox ships.
Well, yes... I fully expect a new lockbox to be released mid-January, since the cycle of lockboxes seems to run around 3 months (that's up around mid-January).
T6 Fleet ships, though, will likely be reserved for Season 10. And I don't think the anniversary event will be considered Season 10.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I would LOVE anything Kremin and to really get into the whole temporal area...but maybe it will be the Warship Voyager ;-)
That's where my bets are. Despite being top of the list we just had a teaser. They have an ideal set up right now for a special episode. I'm guessing it won't be that massive **** of a ship in year of hell of course.
I guess we could just have another identical immortal BoP per normal procedure.
(Standing up for the Federation because someone has to)
Or a T6 Excelsior? Given that the last constitution class starship we saw was the Enterprise A its pretty reasonable to assume IN CANON that the ship was obsolete well before TNG. (Let it ****ing die, the FED doesn't need defending on a point made DECADES ago for the TV series.)
Anyway, my money for the next anniversary is also on a T6 Oddy/Bort/Scimitar (though that does leave a pretty sizable question of how they'd balance the Oddy refit to make it comaprable to a Scimitar, unless they do a more sizable revamp of the latter's role.)

We've also had heavier ships (cruiser and carrier respectively) in the last two seasonal events. Escort would fit the ship progression pretty well but it would be a little more difficult to build a cempelling theme around the event (compared to revamping the flagships in light of T6. That episode pretty much writes itself.)
Just a thought, Mirror T6 Escort?
Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

Several major Ex Class ships were seen in TNG and a few in DS9, including fairly high status ones. But yes, I'd say they're obsolete by now and if they T6'd an existing canon Fed ship, I wouldn't say that should be first choice.
Seeing as big heavy capital ships seem to be flavour of the "month" with Cryptic (Breen Carrier, Elachi Dreadnought) I'd guess something along the lines of a Jupiter Class but with variants for all factions.
In terms of story progression the DQ clearly is dangerous with plenty of enemies so ships need to be built to survive out on their own away from starbase assistance. Some sort of massive stand alone ship that can defend itself, send out scouting ships of it's own (fighters/frigates) and has a light science but heavy engineering slant could make sense.
The intel ships are fine for sneaking about, but if you want to make sure everyone knows you mean business in the DQ you bring a big gun to the party.
Or an alternative is some sort of Borg/fed/KDF/Rom hybrid ship. Clearly with the Cooperative in play and on our side there's the opportunity to blend acquired Borg tech with our own.
So far we've seen:
- The Odyssey Class (Federation) or The Bortas Class [Klingon Empire)
- Ambassador and Kamarang
- Dyson Destroyers
So for this year we'll likely see a ship from the Delta Quadrant or special faction ships based on old models. Can't see an Excelsior class variant though.
The choice is even more difficult for the KDF and RR since any known designs have been used by now.
With that in mind I'd say a Kazon carrier is most likely. When in doubt be sure to use the most hideous design.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

The Exeter and Excalibur are 25th century designs so why would they be obsolete while people are still using those rust bucket Galaxys.
Plus the Enterprises-A being the last Connie was only because they changed the Stargazer at the last minute because the producers thought Star Trek fans were morons.
Well that and ILM despised the TMP Enterprise model to the point they apparently wanted to flat out destroy it while filming Star Trek 3. Probably says something that the 23rd century ships included TNG and later where the ships they liked filming.
well, they gave us 2 cruisers and one sci ship, so maybe a tac ship(could be a carrier too, but i doubt it, since we got the sarr theln), could also be nothing, cause why the hell not.
What ever they release needs to be universal the Klingons and Romulans have really kind of been left out as far as T6 ships go. Right now there a 3 to 1 difference.
Followed by a replacement of the T5 Flagships and their packs with a new T6 version. Existing owners of individual T5/T5U ships or Flagship 3-packs will have their T5/T5U Flagships upgraded to T6 without any further drama (just stop by the Ship Selector Agent and hit Upgrade; T5s go straight to T6 and are not longer upgradable with the T5U token), while those that didn't already own it now have to pay 6000 Zen for the Bundle or 3000 per ship; in effect, making the Bundle a buy 2-get-1-free (which means you're screwed if you bought only one of the ships and now want the full set). And for a limited time, a generous 15000 Zen Flagship 9 Pack (effectively buy 5-get-4-free). Which will later be upped to 18000 Zen.
The Lt. Cmdr Universal they all have regardless of variant is upgraded to Lt.Cmdr Universal/Intel. Just to allow some actual use of the free Rare or Very Rare (I forget which) Hierarchy Sci/Intel Boff or the VR Talaxian Intel Boffs. Since only those who bought the Delta Rising Pack get 3 VR Intel Boffs; one of each class.
They'll probably do the simplest thing, a Fed Dreadnought of some sort, and an IOU for the other two factions. (one unlikely to ever be cashed in).
Not buying that either.
The anniversary ships have always been in line with where the STO timeline was.
So we're looking at faction ships making an appearance in Star Trek Voyager.
- Federation: Possibly Warship voyager, Nova variant or Nebula variant
- Klingon: D7 variant. However the 3rd anniversary ship was an upgraded D7 so that one is probably down the drain. On the other hand, the kamarang does not have an option to upgrade to T-5U nor has it come back as a promotional item. Despite how strange it would be, a T6 variant of the D7 could happen.
- Romulans: Either a Big D variant or an unknown/unnamed romulan science vessel.

Just a thought.
Romulan: Stormbird-class
Klingon: Qang-class
A Malon ship?
The sad thing is, out of all the ships in DR that is the one I actually want.

But I thought CBS said no to an endgame tier Connie?
