That sounds like an individual character problem. I'd a run of Borg Ground STF, Undine Infiltration, Nukara Transdimensional Tactics, and 2x Defend Rhilolol Station Elite right before the servers went down yesterday and got 1440 dil for each run. Are you sure you've been completing them properly?

Yes, i completed everything and it showed i had earned the dilithium and all the other awards, but it would not be credited in dilithium assests. Thats the problem whether i was playing stfs or foundries. I have reinstalled sto app, logged in and out numerous times, and even decided to write a ticket which will take some time to get a response. It rightly could be my character but whatever it is i hope they can get it fixed and for anyone else experiencing the same thing.

You've got questions, Cryptic's got no answers.

It is absurd. Almost an hour now and they've yet to tell us anything is even happening. WTF?

I go to log in today and bring up the launcher and sign in. Server light is green, no red message of "DOOM!" so I figure all is well. Then I remember something I wanted to look up so just before hitting Engage, I reopen my browser and do a little surfing.

15 minutes go by and I finally hit Engage. Game starts loading and then I get timed out trying to retrieve the character list and sent back out to the log-in screen. I figure it's just a hiccup and log-in again only to get the same problem. So, I come to the forums to see if anyone else is having similar problems. Look around for a bit and find nothing. Refresh the main page and then I see this threads title and decide to take a look.

I'm glad someone has at least a small clue what's going on and has the decency to inform others. Sadly, it's the players being informative and not the Devs/CM's.

I'm not going to claim it's easy, but seriously, how HARD is it to put a message up on the launcher warning of impending server downtime? How strenuous is it to post something on the forums saying the same thing? And now, even going back to look to see if I missed something while typing this up, there is STILL no official word on what is going on.

I don't want to 'give up' on STO, but it's almost as if the Devs have. I WANT to enjoy the game, but it's getting more and more difficult. I suppose asking for the simplest of communications is asking too much these days. There are many problems plaguing the game right now, but the biggest one seems to be a lack of communication.

    Oh well.

I suppose since I have no idea when the game will be back up, I will go find something else to play since I have the spare time. Of course, I will continue to check back every 15-20 minutes to see if there is any word or if perhaps the game is back online.

I am NOT quitting, but I do see myself playing less and less with the game in its current state.

the game is unplayable anyway - the only Thing i do is doffing my 25 chars - i NEED no Fixes for a dumb winter Event. With every fix they break something else anyway.

How long does it take to change server hamsters?

.1sec....Plug out the gartidge wheel that holds the hamster
    ....12sec...empty the gartidge to bin...
..30sec..Insert new fresh, well fed to gartidge...
....10sec...insert loaded gartidge to powerwheel that runs the servers....
...5sec...insert automated cocaine injections for the hamster
    ....2sec...close the hatch.
    ...1sec...Hit POWER!
    ...2sec...see people log in
    ....15sec...check the metrics
    ...30sec...claim that everything is awesome

It's like I said on the Facebook feed; they're clearly running their hamster wheels with gremlins.

    AND IT'S BEEN RAINING.

Give it time guys/gals. It takes 25,000,000 Dilithium to turn the server back on, Craptic has to check their bank accounts and farm for 5 years.

Smirk has to eat and sleep sometime, I don't necessarily expect him to be making announcements....

But someone is evidently awake and moving around at Cryptic's Lair of Doom, or the maintenance wouldn't have started - and that someone, presumably, could and should spare five minutes to make a flippin' announcement on the flippin' forums.

It's not that much to ask, surely?

I wish you could send in Vice Admirals Shohl, Grau, and T'Pia. *That* would get results.

I'm assuming a person goes in and changes the server status indicator. Does this person not have the capability to type in a reason and then follow through with a post on these very forums?

    Take 30 secs max.

I'm sure the status indicator is automated, otherwise it would always be incorrect. ;)

Seriously, i think theres something going on in Cryptic. I would say its something to do with nobody knowing what to do, so i would blame on the guy whos supposed to know what to do. But hes got no leader skills and the workers know it and its all just chaos in Cryptic atm. And i would like to add theres also something wrong with the motivation and with the spirit among the workers aka devs. I dont blame them...having a slap on the face everytime they see forums cant be good to healt.

Intrested how much therapy does a Dev at Cryptic need ?! ;)

    Mh. server down again.

Hope to see an extension to winter event (post 15 jan).

Clocked about six days into the twenty-five days of farming (everyone can guess how I got to this number...) and two dropouts. So, let's do some math.

For every six days, add two because of servers being down. Which means, the twenty remaining days get extended to about 27.

Now add, say, five days because you might not be able to farm, either. It's christmas around the corner, right? And New Year?

Which means we're up to 32 days now. Well, let's say it's just thirty days. One month. That would put us around the 11th or 12th of January, right?

So, if they keep that up, we could just stop farming for the T6 event ship, because there's no chance to get it.

But maybe that's the ploy, that people actually have to pay for a T5-U or T6? Yep, sounds about right. Keep the carrot hanging in front of the donkey's nose to keep him going, but never actually reaching it?

Something helpful would be someone from Cryptic taking 30 seconds to tell what's going on all around. But i guess that it's too much to ask. Is is that strange why people are angry?

OMG! The server is down!! What do I do! I have no life and must complain and moan on the forums! Noooooo!

Seriously, you guys should try MS Solitaire or Facebook games. They're always on and the rest of us won't have to listen to your constant whining. If you find the game that horrible, why are you here?
