Update the F.C.T

The F.C.T says if I have frustration about posting DOOM threads to post there, but it was closed, and I have no where to post about the end of STO, so I think the F.C.T needs to be updated to not disappoint players from needing to vent the end of STO. :D

    I knew there was something about that one being allowed...as voporak says, the best expansion ever is where things seem to be at just now.
    If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

    Heh, not the brightest of moves closing that one down. Where will all the doom show up now? How much more work was just created for the mods? Bet he/she didn't think of that.

    From midniteshadow7's words here, I don't get the impression he realized this thread 'keeps coming back to life' because askray specifically said it could be.

    Thing is, it doesn't keep "coming back to life." To do that, it would have to die, and it, to my knowledge, hasn't passed the 30-day-dormancy timeframe to be cosidered "dead".

    You can't bring something back to life if it ain't dead.

    Edit: I assume talking about a doom thread has been doomed is out of the question...

    Why is it not allowed? Because we have to bend over to the mods? No.

    No. It is a rule that PW has established for all it's games. They are not going to debate their decisions. It is their forum and they can do what they want with it. We are here at their pleasure. If you do not like that go post on Reddit. :)
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Do they really want the DOOOMMM!!! thread showing up on Reddit, or becoming a popular Twitter hashtag? Given that they've told us that those using the forums are a small portion of the STO community, isn't giving that small portion of the current playerbase a place to vent wiser than having it show up to prospective players to be taken seriously? :eek:

    I'd be more in favor of updating the F.C.T. list. :P

    The DOOM thread coming down was a mistake by the new Mod. But that has no bearing on what I was addressing: whether or not Cryptic or PW has the right to enforce its rules - such as no discussion of moderation. If we do not like the rules we do not have to post here. It is our choice. But as long as we post here we have to do so following their rules. It is their house.

    the Doooooommmm thread was more of a parody than an actual doom thread :(

    I wish time had been taken to see that before it was abruptly closed. Is there anyway to get it unclosed?

    It wasn't his first... slip-up... ask the "banned-thread" folk.

    Yes, midnite closed at least 2 banned-threads for moot reasons. Askray helped out. This way he not only get the forum mods in a bad lighting, but also his podcast sig thingie he carries.

    Thankfully the only one that matters there and in general is Smirk and other PWE/Cryptic staff.

    Not to mention that it is a general rule on forums.
    Personally i would have moved the topic to ten forward as it was nothing more than spam at this point.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
