Yup although the red status button isnt really a good indication of status as it can be green while servers are down and red while they are up.

I suggest the devs reverse the polarity of the neutron beam

Those who can do...do. Those who can't are usually the first to complain.:D

But are you a network engineer or game developer? Do you have the qualifications and experience to do what they do? In other words...are you qualified to judge?

    Not flaming you...just asking.

Yes, I am have been working in software development and work with Server-Client applications day in day out. Therefore, I am more than qualified to voice this kind of opinion! Thx for asking.

And I also have about 25 years experience with networks, including Server maintenance, application deployment, and Server failover. So the joke is on you hagar3 ;)

Last but not least, I am playing also since about 4 years World of ******** and paid for all the AddOns. They may have issues there as well occasionally, but I never experienced this kind of sloppy work of an Server maintenance team.

Anyway, Thx for your opinion :)

    Have fun.

PS: It is interesting, that the maintenance always happens, when the Europe region is coming home from their jobs. But I guess Americans don't care about the rest of the world anyway. Only their own good. Best regards, and don't p*** yourself laughing about my comment *rofl*

We have the experience of long-time online gamers, and recognize the difference between a stable game and an unstable one, as well the difference between effectively informing players of a problem and generally failing to do so. ;)

Glad we established your qualifications lol...don't mind the joke being on me if its from someone who is qualified to critique lol. Usually people moan who don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Top of the hour status check...

Locks up at "Connecting to Login Server"? Check.
Little red light on the launcher? Check.
News from server team? None... wait, what? http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9010343
They're trying to distract us! :P

So it means nothing to you that the time server maintenance happens also happens to coincide with the time when most Americans on the west coast, where Cryptic is located, happen to be ARRIVING at work? And how much are you willing to bet there are more people located in North America that play the game during America's morning hours, than there are European players wanting to play after work?

Are you suggesting that expecting a company to require their employees to work at extremely odd hours just to keep a few gamers from having to wait a few hours to play a video game isn't for your own good? Sounds like you're American enough, by your own definition of the term. It's a video game, either accept it's made by Americans with servers located in America, or don't, hell, the comedy is enough to want you to keep posting such asinine comments. :)

Patience... the servers are not back online yet. Go get something to eat, catch up on the news, read your mail... Do something to kill the time.
Then come back and check again.

A lot. The population or North America is a good deal smaller than that of Europe even if you only count the EU. So anticipating that there are more people wanting to play at work hours, from a smaller population, than at AFTER work hours of a bigger population.... is just not reasonable.
