Well it depends on how many players are in each match. I can't imagine 3 on 3 would be such an issue. But if we go 5 on 5 I can't vouch whether some teams won't go for the good old 5 man phaser full auto rifle "trap". Note my tact has fed 3 rifle and a plasma comp pistol picked out. or maybe we could all just spam some tetryons LOL kidding. I will most likely be around whenever you attempt to get this going. Clearly I have had to remove some people from ignore to participate. You should do the same. Frankly everyone being forced to play clean like this is a big weight lifted off all of our shoulders. Might see the start of a healed ground community today!
In the interest of fair play I should inform you my sci toons intel tree has all the ground stuff unlocked through t3 though. Working on t4 intel next few days. Also before we start setting up leagues and tourneys I would suggest just doing a few "sparring" like matches on assimilated or deserted maybe even set the kill count over what is needed for mission credit just so we get some longer matches to get a true feel for this. We should avoid shanty during this sparring sessions so the virus doesn't interfere with match outcomes. After all we want a true feel for balance of killing each other.
You got put on iggy because of the constant stream of offensive language both in zone and in tells. If you can keep that under control and be positive I don't foresee an issue.

Personally I would prefer a shanty as the map is more interesting. The turrets will play more of a factor though with everyone on vanilla setup. I wonder if I could come up with some way to make a grid we could all use for a territory control on Otha. I like the feel of open world.
Im also for shanty,all arena maps are so boring.But thing is that i dont have any level 50 toon,all 4 my toons are 60 and with some points in in intel specialization,commando tree is not a problem cause you can turn it off but what about intel thing.I dont really have desire to level new toon just for this.,leveling drive me crazy.

Well I don't foresee any problems now that we will all be playing fair and clean. Lots of problems get solved in vpvp cause nobody can be accused of cheesing it up. All of my toons have some intel on them already I guess you can count me out for this week then. Before I make a fresh vpvp toon I need to make sure this is going to pop off. I even bought a skill retrain token other day to respec my sci to see if the special tree would clear and it did not What a waste (not real money at least)
I can see why you wouldn't want to let t3 intel ground into the map those start to be game changers on the team. But the t1's aren't gonna hurt much if at all.
Well, I guess we'll have to allow spec for now. Those bonuses are not small things though. The commando is definitely out as the juggernaut run is for sure broken. We can leave that open after we see how much of an impact it's really having.
Edit. Idk that placate is really annoying and seems to ignore willpower and placate resistance.
I'm waiting. At the very least I will play my tact and engy since my sci is far advanced in the intel tree. Yes they made those placates in the special system to not respect willpower. Not sure why though the specialization passives don't cost any money?
Still working on this folks. I've been adding more people to the vpvp channel and spreading the word. Progress is a little slower then I'd hoped but still moving forward.
I will keep trying to get a match going throughout the week. For anyone interested I haven't added to the channel please let me know by posting here.

Also I'm 50/50 on the Shard of Possibilities. The AoE confuse is good protection but I'd rather limit spam. Without the escort doffs and engineer fabrication doffs spam won't be an issue but I'd be interested in hearing thoughts on allowing the shard or not.

The chain stun it what I was thinking about actually. It's not clear if the copy's have such a high magnitude of stun on purpose or not. The resistance is working as fed escorts rarely stun again while resistance is up but shard copies just stun and stun.

And given what you bring to q'd matches I can see why the germans have chosen to lay out of vgpvp Think about it regardless of how these rules seem to you guys we are all on the same terms and rules as you are. Vgpvp is a man's ground game even more so than today's fully q'd ground pvp. I mean you saw what happened in the two matches we played at 60 weeks ago. Do you really want to fight that? You saw how op I was as you tried to snare me and failed? Do you really want to play that game all the time? I can imagine what's going on in your team camp right now. You have a full 5 man premade armed with purple intel mods, all the extra hp, traits, cheese, full intel tree, full commando tree, full stock of neural overloads ready to go. Yet nobody else besides you is qing for top rank ground pvp. Am I in the right ballpark here?

You don't have to like the rules or participate. If you have suggestions rather then just criticism I'd love to hear them. That was the purpose of the thread. The thought behind vgpvp is to have an outline of rules for pvp matches that have a low cost and minimal time spent to prepare a toon to participate in it versus doing a ton of tedious grinding needed to have a top level toon ready for queue matches.
If your entire purpose for posting was to simply say "I think this is stupid waaaah!" then you may as well not posted at all.
