As soon as the station drops down to 0% (which is almost IMPOSSIBLE to prevent), the match ends, you don't get your Multidimensional Transporter thingie, and you can't go back in for another 30 minutes to try again.
Thanks for ruining another fun thing there, Cryptic!
Sigh. Okay, just did it on Normal then, cuz I won't be screwed out of my transporter thingies cuz some noobs can't close rifts.
But it's way too easy on Normal. And I didn't keep count, but the XP payout was if not 0, then negative (rather befitting a Mirror Universe, in that sense).
And then to think, as others pointed out already, that Mirror Event used to be the primo place to get XP. What happened?!

The problem, as usual is HP sponges, you cant kill the frigates fast enough before the respawn from the rift when you have less then 20-25k dps. (frigates have 135k hp)
Not to mention in the beginning a lot more rifts spawn then on normal, which means you can easly get overwhelmed.
In short, TRIBBLE advance, its the same old overarching theme on DR that everything is hp sponge and dps is king.
I think you really really have to have the team at this point. Two cruisers pulling aggro to leave two scis undisturbed for closing, then something fast running around the edges for the power stations.
Sheesh, remember when we used to be able to pug stuff?
and then proceeded to set up a pure socialist society.
Hardly. Until matter replicators currency was still in common use. Hell even WITH them it was still being used. How else do you explain TOS having Romulan Ale onboard the enterpise? Did Kirk just ask a romulan for it and get it for free?
Or how about DS9? How do you explain the vendors on the station? They have to make goods, sell them for profit and then use those profits to make more goods etc.
Nice try though.
And mhirtesc, you started the name calling in this thread when you called shadowwraith77 a "teabagger". Who is the jerk here? And then you continued quite dramatically.
I'll just say this: if you're dissing Obama every time you open your mouth then you're the Koch Brothers' biznatch and you're doing their bidding to ruin this country for their profits, whether you know it or not. I may not love Obama, but I loathe the Kochs!
Right now I'm seeing a lot of people having "Battered Girlfriend Syndrome" and they're going to vote in more of the same republicans that are responsible for crashing the economy in 2007 that cost a lot of people their jobs and their homes, including mine. You guys picked the wrong person to get teabaggy with.
And calling them teabaggers is what they are. I make no apologies for it. Hell, they should be called worse.
And who is full of hate? Time for you to look in a mirror I think.

even on normal?

no, not on normal. normal is super easy and no fail. Honestly, elite was hard last event. I wouldn't expect the new advanced to be any better. Although last event I could do elite with fleet mates, I ended up pugging normals just to fininsh the event grind.
Yeah but the MTDs (Event marks) which get dropped only happen once a day, so it means we will all be doing the event for at least the next fortnight...
Somebody else may have started it, but you helped to keep it rolling.
And throwing around vulgar, childish insults like "teabagger" doesn't help your "cause" any in the eyes of rational people.
I despise Barack Hussein Obama for the same reason I despise all politicians, even those who are supposedly of the same ideological camp as myself: They are all two-faced, self-serving liars who trample on the Constitution to further their own political careers. The same Constitution I swore to defend and protect during my time in the military and in public service.
Obama is no different. If you think he's great because you think he made the world better, that's your right. But don't insult the rest of us that hasn't consumed the Kool-Aid served up by the politicos and Big Media. Some of us are old enough to know better.
Preech it my friend I tend to stay away from the politics talk. Myself Im not involved in either party when that time comes to vote I simply vote for the party that I feel will lie to me the least.
Well, take it up with the jerk who first started the whole thing. You think I'm going to sit there and be quiet while a teabagger struts in and brings his trash talk with him?
I don't expect anything from you -- that's a mod's job. But I am a little surprised, yes, that you allow yourself to be baited so easily. As the person I quoted in my sig would say, just SHAKE IT OFF!
Cryptic has manage to take the fun completely out of this game. They must not the the fact that people play the game to have fun, and not for the high dps. I seriously am thinking of finding something else to do with my time.
Makes you wonder of the 300k people that play it, (300k based on a forum post) why only a couple of hundred are doing stf's at any given time. All that said, thanks cryptic, you really know how to mess things up.

Step it up, get a competent team, and do your best. No excuses. It's not the devs' fault you failed.
Advanced is ridiculous with the new 'improved' NPC-experience. Try playing your missions before they go live, Cryptic. Please. It's taking the fun out of the simplest things over and over again.
Anyhow, normal is ridiculously easy. Yay for that, I guess.

Maybe it's because it's coming up to the 22nd anniversary of my mother's murder from lack of "Obamacare" that makes me extra-sensitive to seeing teabagger swaggering.

go crawl back into your little hate group and post on there. It hurts to know that the Trek universe is a pure communism doesn't it. I know it hurts you bad

Two serious issues with mirror invasion: for something to do daily for three weeks it takes far too long if you have several characters. And why on earth can't you choose delta marks as a reward? That's the only marks 90% of the players need at the moment.

There is no middle ground, which is quite funny since advance should have been exactly that, a middle ground between elite and normal.
K folks, lets stop with the political conversation as I've already wiped out a bunch of posts on this thread.

Just finished normal with pugs, and my upgraded Dyson Destroyer.. not fully optimized yet... and we win... it's not difficult at all in normal... and CC on advanced, same setup, pugs... we win again... don't quite get your post

Try Mirror Invasion Advanced instead of CC Advanced (totally different mission), maybe you'll see then ^^

Do we even need the Advanced and Elite public queues any more? Afterall they aren't puggable by the majority if at all. Cryptic should just move Advanced and Elite to the private queues where they now belong.
Step it up, get a competent team, and do your best. No excuses. It's not the devs' fault you failed.
True, but if the initial impressions are sufficiently negative that someone browsing the forums at work decides not to play, I think that there might be some rework necessary.

Someone has a pipe dream or sales goal and they're not giving up on it. I may have to give in and join some sort of channel
because normal is trivial and advanced is a nogo for most missions.
This is killing or at least changing the nature of endgame activities.
I was hopeful we would get relief before people started to quit, but I'm losing that hope.

I dunno if I'd call it a pure communism. They seem to have found a best of both worlds middle ground where everyone has what they need, but currency and economics still play a role, especially for trade.
The article at memory alpha on money has some very interesting bits in the background where they say gene didn't want any currency at all, but then it showed up a few times anyway (Beverly Crusher charging a bolt of cloth to her account on enterprise in encounter at farpoint, plus many times in TOS where things were sold to/from harry Mudd and others, even kirk talking about selling his house in his scene with Picard).
Yeah, popped in with my main, got our butts kicked while doing the advanced, 10 fleet marks for my troubles. Said TRIBBLE it and will be doing it the next few weeks with all my characters on the normal version.

And fyi, no idea why I got lumped in with the ESD-chat guys - I could not give a thrupenny bit about ESD-esque chat.

As to the poster above me, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's 'No fail', though. :P But you can't fail the mission at least, yeah.
