    We got liftoff!

    It's alive! Alive!

Like I said in the OP, fixing it outright without adding a stacking limit of about 2-4 max could make the sci captain hating folk come out with pitchforks. It has been broken for more than two years, but because the KDF only had access to it until recently, it was an issue that went unnoticed by most.

The Voth Aceton console has 6 stacks. For the Aceton Assimilator to match the drain of those, it would only take exactly 2 stacks since they both share the same formula, but the Aceton Assimilator has a base value of 15 versus 5 for the Voth Aceton console. Then again, the aceton assimilator is easier to destroy or run away from, so a stack of 3 or 4 max might be fine.

Aceton Assimilator formula = 15*(1+(0.005*Flow Capacitors))
Voth Aceton Console = 5*(1+(0.005*Flow Capacitors))

Next up, the R&D mess with the new mods because it irks me I craft stuff that isn't different from what already is in the game and considered junk because it's broken in 5 out of 7 schools.

I did post also an oldie (3 years old) about the [Stl] mod being mapped to [ShdS] in deflectors.

You want mods that are worthless, just look at the [PVPResist] on weapons no less!

Heck, even the [PVPDMG] seems crappy enough, to call worthless also!

And, [DMG] on 90% of anything you really wouldn't care for it to be on, but is required anyways!

Yeah, I do agree those 2 mods seemed like poorly designed things they added at last moment to appease the PvP crowd. Having said that, the items from the other schools deserve whatever mods they implemented, but never tied to the items.

    THIS, THIS and THIS!!!!!

At least the crappy, oft-used [Dmg] mod has functionality to ALL players, whereas [PvPDmg] and [PVPRes] has absolutely NO utility for 99% of the playerbase AND 99% of the content!!!

It need to be toggleable ffs.

Any chance it finally gets checked? It's all the Aceton Assimilators that have been broken since 2011.

heh. Also fix it so its a limit of 1 per map until the AA is destroyed, then you can deploy another. Quite annoying to see fed/kdf AA's scattered all over kerrat.

It is Monday, hope you devs had a good weekend.

    Bumping up.

    How to replicate easily.

    1) Take two toons into PvP, making sure the target had 0 power insulators skill and the other has high flow capacitors and the Aceton Assimilator console.

    2) Observe the listed power drain in the tooltip and use AA on the target, the target's power will:

    a) Only drain 15 power, not the listed one
    b) You'll see the debuff stacking, but no additional power drain.

    Verified. Thanks for the report.

Another broken sci related bug on its way to being repaired.

Lucho fought for and won sci bug fixes: 4 (Energy siphon doff/Deflector officer doff/Tetryon Beam/Aceton Assimilator)

Next up: Well, I think accolades and R&D deserve a chance. Time to revive those threads.

Hey Frost, any ETA on this getting fixed? Kind of need this toy working correctly so something can slow down those fancy new T6 ships in the new lockbox (Vaadwaur escort and heavy battlecruiser).

It's a stolen KDF console... So ETA is about 3 years, 2 months, 3 weeks and 6 days from the time of this post. Being at the bottom of a list of about 80,000 things to fix.

    *joking*

    Seriously:
I know for a fact a 100% working AA console would break PVP. It's why Cryptic is using caution. Most likely after being fixed they'll be forced to revert it back to broken again. So why waste time fixing it?

Here's how it should be fixed to avoid anything catastrophic:

Aceton Assimilator with corrected stated drain should not stack with tyken's rift or energy siphon.

Cryptic obviously knows what you're trying to do here. It's not gonna happen! It's why they acknowledge you to shut you up, and then ignore you. Take a hint. Continue the futile battle if you must, but nothing is going to happen anytime soon if ever.
The dress is gold and white. Over 70% people says so. When viewed from a certain screen angle it appears blue and black. The dress displayed on amazon is a blue and black dress, but it's not the same dress in the picture. If you're seeing blue & black you're slightly colored blind. A normal upright screen = white and gold.

You do know the Voth Aceton console has the same effect as the AA should have and no one complains it "breaks the game". I did mention in the OP that the AA console should have the stacking limited just like the Voth console.

Nice, but Voth AA doesn't neutralize heavy torpedoes/mines in a huge radius constantly. Voth AA lasts just a few seconds and can't be spammed. Voth AA don't do damage when hit with energy every time. See where I'm going with this? It's very different. It's why no one complains about it.

The Aceton Assimilator console does too much already. Heck it even points out cloaked units with the blue trail. I know for a fact it will have devastating effects versus NPCs with 100% working drains. According to my ship it should drain 59.4 power. That's enough to 'brick' Borg probes and spheres permanently.

Cryptic won't allow that I'm sure, but hey, whatever. :)

Clicking QSM (Rom T5) + fleet boost + insp leader boost + assignment boost (all temporary) and throwing out the number it gives you doesn't count. You do know I did put the equation in the OP and I know the max base flow caps. To get that number you would need close to 600 flow caps.
