So... when X2 doesn't do as well as LoR, will Cryptic learn?

You saying "dooooooom" makes you nothing more than a heel. You're a tool for Cryptic. Open your mind and think for yourself. You'll see why we're upset. Use your free will.

It's their right to be the tools & self appointed comedians (at their fellow players expense) .
After all , what are they doing within 5 hours of this "mega epic"content release that they love ever so much ?
    Back @ trolling players .
That should be all the indictment both them and the game & company they are "championing" need .
Remember ... , we were starved for content for over 6 months for this epic fail (on certain aspects) to be brought forth .

The "good news" for those who support boycotts of sorts is that 17 missions won't keep those returning players around for long .
Not longer then an average Season , perhaps even less .

We shall see in 1-2 weeks how the game population fares .

    Say it ain't so ... .

... now that I think about it , do I remember correctly that someone somewhere said that they were withholding some of the DR content .... or am I thinking about something else ... ?

They said at least one more batch of missions and queues coming.

You know what? GTFO. Appologists like you and yes-men that say Cryptic can do no wrong are why we're in this mess. You create a feedback loop and of course it's what Cryptic wants to hear so they only see what they want.

EDifficulty is astronomical to the point of being absurd when lies were told that it would remain the same.

How much easier do you want them to make it, I had to take a urgent phone call, 5 minute unfortunately I was in middle of a battle dealing with some Kazon and I was still alive after five minutes and my shields were still up, in the red but still up. An I haven't spent a penny on the game.

I bet you want cryptic to add an instant win button don't you?

They say a lot of things ... waiting in Club 47, till these Missions are actually here :P

PS : Not that it matters anyway ... it's not like they stopped releasing stuff after LoR's Launch ... so you have to compare it to DR's Launch, which imho isn't even close to LoR's Launch (right now it looks like Expansions are going downhill tbh, so it doesn't matter if there is gonna be 8 more missions in Season 10 / X3 etc) ....

Well I bet you'll get club 47 before Klingons get more costumes =)

And you'll note I didn't say anything about believing them. I just reported what they said. But I do believe we will get more in three months or so. How much more, dunno. But some.

I beg of you people, please stop saying the game is more difficult. That's a misnomer. Call it exactly what it is, they just made it longer and more tedious with higher hp/resists but the difficulty itself has not changed.

Make them learn by giving them the right info.

A couple of ppl in the high management (you know who) need to be taken off STO .

Is that giving them the right info ? :)

I actually would prefer the lunch to be at a reasonable cost to everyone. That way, you wouldn't have such jacked up prices like 30 bucks a ship, 27 bucks ultimately for your old ship, gambling boxes and the rest.

But enough with that, how can I complain? How can I be negative? Because there's nothing wrong with having expectations for this game.

So after five years, Cryptic has failed to dissuade that notion?

All of my in game friends, with only one exception, are gone. They loved this game, too.

I'm just not seeing a healthy game here.

I thought what killed STO was launching with the KDF only half finished.

I thought STO being created is what killed STO!

    'Gated' behind rep grinds?

Sure, we visit a new zone that delivers rep marks as part of a mission, but it's by no means required to be done after the initial visit  I left as soon as was able on Tribble, never went back, and just did the same on Holodeck

And the game has been killed? As long as a lot of people are playing, with-without new content, that's healthy by definition - DR is little different from LoR in that respect. Plus a lot of the new 'sinks' are quite similar to what you'd see in other MMO's, and except for a few cases, aren't even that required for casual gameplay.

Then again, valid complaints or not, people kinda like to overreact hehe imo :)

Oddly, Ink, your friends don't seem to be the entire population of STO.

And every game out there is "dying". It was "killed" by whatever was done most recently. (Anyone remember when WoW was "ruined" by the Dark Portal expansion? Or by the hordes of people playing former slaves of the Lich King? Or when you could fly mounts through the skies of Azeroth? That's why WoW folded years back! Oh, wait...)

I'm sure EverQuest has been declared dead a number of times as well - I haven't been paying close attention to the publicity around that one.

well my take on it :

im only lvl 53 so far just ran into my 1st vaadwaur and the enemy is still too easy. all it has is massive hp now .

and the story stinks unless your a fed. i have a entire wall of rants just from 3 missions sofar of picking out where they forced my Klingon warrior to choose the only option of being a push over. no reason to post it all here just too much of it.

but really after a few tweaks the actual gameplay will probably be better than it was as the story content has alway been biased in favor of the feds. jsut its gotten worse now it clear they didnt even try to make a it different for the Klingons.

and i like this expansion so far much better than LoR i hated it . sure it made the KDF a so called complete faction finally but it added so many other things that really made the game worse. and was the beginning of the end for the Klingon Empire.

this one is just the icing on the cake.

so for me im here not going anyplace. deleted my feds this morning to remove any temptation . and plan on being the thorn in the side of the devs as long as they leave a single torch burning on Kronos.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days. Ch'ar%20POST%20LoR.JPG

That's exactly my point. There's a huge number of people who show up only to post threads about the servers being down and nothing else. Given only a tiny percentage of the player base would bother, I am not worried.

Well I've been here since Open Beta, and not just a week ago, there were a few days that were packed to the brim with players around. And before that, and after, days where it seemed completely empty except for a few

Now that's natural, but it certainly didn't seem dead at any point, even on the less populated days. DR has brought a rush, as expected, and it will fade, but it's extremely unlikely to permanently kill anything - especially after rounds of patches addressing a number of things.

Number of players is not a sole indication of a games health.

It will surely go on for years after this Expansion. But they can only tap this vein for so long.

EVERYTHING put forth today is a valid concern. A SIGNIFICANT set of problems has literally made the game unplayable and unprogressable for many (most) of the playerbase. Almost all dil is gone. Dil requirements are through the roof. Difficulty is astronomical to the point of being absurd when lies were told that it would remain the same. As a playerbase we have a limited amount of trust and it has all be ripped from us recently. This DR is beyond the last straw that broke the camel's back.

Seriously, you look like a two year old. You can't give constructive feed back, why the heck are they going to listen to them. BTW, constructive feed back is not "telling them what they want to hear" it's "telling them what they've done wrong, whith out cursing them out"
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!
