I believe people who come to post I quit threads don't really quit

I know they are not but if a person is going to quit...they'll just quit. No one is gonna make a performance out of it.

Seriously, you look like a two year old. You can't give constructive feed back, why the heck are they going to listen to them. BTW, constructive feed back is not "telling them what they want to hear" it's "telling them what they've done wrong, whith out cursing them out"
    Ikr?

Everything I've heard from rodentmaster recently, whether he realizes it or not, looks a lot like part of his own pre-conceived notion that Cryptic is only bad, only wants our money, ignores feedback completely (lol, look at the Season 7 removal of STF Dil issue), and on and on. By no means are they perfect angels, but it is not that black and white, or even that much of an issue in cases.

Plus it doesn't help any of us for him to state all that to us, that he believes they are like that, when it's Your Mileage May Vary (and does vary). He thinks DR broke the camel's back? Well, what if for the majority, it actually didn't, and this is just the first day of a new experience that we'll get through... as we did every Season thus far?

I mean really, even without the massive influx today, the game has been steadily been played for awhile now :) Had it's many-playing days, as well as few-playing days; nothing new here.

Plus nothing's set in stone; it's only the first day, and patches are coming, just like all other Seasons.
    Was named Trek17.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

It's a game people...life is way too short to be freaking out about an online game. Yes I love this game and play it a lot and chill on the boards talking about it...but to me it's a game...something that is supposed to be fun...for my enjoyment. The minute this game stops being fun I'm gone. The minute I believe Cryptic and the Devs are waiting behind the bushes to beat me in the head, steal my money and do unmentionable stuff to me...is the moment I am gone.
There's too many people here with a negative attitude about this game and the company and I always ask one question : Why do you play?
"Cryptic is trying to nickel and dime us."
    "So why do you play?"

    It's a general issue I've noticed.

#1 Way too many people think they speak for everyone.

Pinky doesn't speak for me. Have I seen issues? yes. does that mean Cryptic and perfect word are greedy money grubbers? No, that just means mistakes were made. The devs are human

#2 People don't understand how things work behind the scenes, make assumptions, and then run with them.

Cryptic does listen to feedback, when it's constructive and reasonabled. There was one patrol mission that was almost impossible. So, because we discussed it like adults, they went back and fixed it. Oh, what do you know, they listen to feed back.

#3 People don't read. Those that do skim through looking for the juecy and then fill in the blanks.

I saw people crying that the upgrade tokens were 700zen. They TOLD US last month it would be between 500 and 1000 per token. the non readers are also upset because they didn't know the upgrade is account wide and covers C-store and fleet versions. they thought one token-one ship. Because they didn't bother to read.

#4 People who are just too bitter.

I tried Infected Advanced, and I'm quite sure what happened was a simple error of transposing the new eltie ship stats. A mistake. an accident. We're talking about the people who have accidently erased star bases and important NPCs. Not out of spite, but of being human. One wrong key stroke changes everything.
Everywhere I look, people are screaming about how bad Cryptic is.
    What's my position?
That people should know what they're screaming about!

I have, believe me. And I was sending money their way, too. No more. Not until this entire drivel they call DR is fixed.

    Mines closed.

They're not trying to nickel and dime us, it only looks that way to some people because they come in here with certain expectations and when those are not met, they assume it's out of spite, when those expectations were never based in reality.

I hate to bring this up, but T5 connies. There are people here who think Cryptic is trying to force their deisgns on players and won't upgrade the older ships "because they are mean". Meanwhile, as I have said, time and time again, CBS said no. the IP holder said no. Cryptic's hands a tied. If they went behind CBS's back, BOOM, no more lisence, no more game.

"That CBS thing is just an excuse" tell that to the people who used to make the pen and paper RPG source book who had the license pulled because CBS didn't like the direction the books were going in.
