Yes, I am a lifer who purchased the Operations Pack.

No, no issues. I plan to enjoy it for what it is.

I have been a lifer since November 2013, and I bought the pack, because there is at least one ship per faction that I want to fly. Also, when I change to the other ships, I get those traits too after I kill the &*$% out of the NPC ships. It was more than worth it to me, but I respect the opinions of other people who didn't purchase for any reason. I am waiting on a T6 BoP for the Klingons. I have 9 characters (One for each profession in each faction), so that also drove up the value to me. Unless something majorly drastic happens, I will continue to support this game until the day I go offline. LOL:cool:
So, I just push the buttons and things blow up? Fascinating...

As lifer I did not buy the pack cuz there is simply nothing in it that interests me.

Gladly so or I would be forced to ask myself the following questions:

    - What do I do with free upgrade tokens for Tier 5 after Tier 6 lock box ships which are equivalent or even better than Tier 6 fleet are released?

    - What do I do with ha bunch of none canon ships now forcing me to wait a few month till I have to reinvest into them again when I want a fleet version of them?

    - Did a ship itself in anyway ever stood in relation with the time and effort it takes in STO to out gear it right and is this going to change with DR or will just get worse under the new upgrade mechanics?

Well, since they decided not to add a few mil refined dil to the pack it was rather an easy decision for a lifer who knows the game as well as the company which runs to make.

Nope. If they had made a smaller pack like last time I might have been tempted. It does not have much that I would use, I would like the boffs for ground missions, and the Intel uniform just so I have another one that all my crew can wear. So the pack is really not a good deal at all..... To me anyway.

I couldn't. 100+ bucks in one sitting is tough for me. 300+ took many many months of saving. I'll probably just do the slow and sure method when it becomes available for Zen.

No. Although that isn't to say that I wouldn't like to.

Sadly, my laptop is starting to show it's age, overheats quite easily and is having fairly frequent 'Blue Screen of Death' moments; I'm trying to put some money together to purchase a new Alienware 14 laptop so can retire my current one to 'browsing only'.

Therefore had to save the money that I would have used to buy the Operations pack to put toward a new laptop.

Probably wouldn't go for Alienware, since they became sucky after Dell bought them..

    Just mho. ;)

I bought the LTS during the LOR discount sale and the LOR pack before they announced the added ships, but this one... I'm waiting to see if I win it in the Social grabs, if not, I probably will buy next week. (Have some bonus money coming in.)

But then, I have 15 toons of different affiliations and like the Intelligence outfit, too. (Think it's better than S31)

No. I'd rather just buy the things I want ala carte. Because I won't get all that stuff and we know they will have better looking ships with better stuff later anyhow.

No they don't. The 'Vast Majority" wants nothing to do with PvP and Cryptic's datamining has shown that they've never joined a PvP queue, nor entered a PvP zone. PvP at it's height of popularity never numbered more than 20% of the player base.

Cryptic has never been strong at doing PvP to be honest. Their strong suit is actually PvE and customization. Been that way since their existence. I don't know why people act surprised at the low number of PvP in a Cryptic game.

I bought it. I went Lifer during the last sale (and could afford it thanks to having a new job), and when Delta Rising Pack was announced, I was hesitant.

Then the Dauntless was added in and I was sold. Yes, I know it's just the one ship, but all the other addons and ships just made it a better deal for me. I may find use for the Intel ships at some point, but the new costume and Dauntless was the deal maker.

First major pack I bought too, the Romulan pack was too much for too little content (for me at least), so I went with the Romulan Starter Pack.

Still, my main is a Science and the Dauntless will be his new signature ship. I love how it looks, the stats make it awesome IMO, and it's a perfect fit for my Combat Medic (He's a Medic, not a doctor)

Have you thought about opening her up? Remove the processor and clean off the old thermal paste and reapply some new, higher quality thermal paste?

Dust off the fan, maybe even see if there a newer fan to replace in it?

They can give you Feds all the same tricks, better ones...

and we're still going to kick your sorry asses in PvE and PvP every chance you're dumb enough to give us.

Erm... you DO realise that you are still a human and not 'really' in the KDF don't you?

Its this kind of childish nonsense that gives MMO's a bad name.

Yeah I kinda scratched my head on that.... then came to the conclusion it was little more than frosting. I was willing to buy it even if those weren't there, so not knowing what they were didn't make any difference.

well, I said it was a statement of Cryptic's intent-four years now, and they're still playing passive-aggressive bull**** trying to justify shutting down the KDF as a faction.
*points at LoR* You were saying? It was the biggest addition to the KDF story in the game's history, yet you ignore it's existence...

Cryptic hinted that they were using it as a test to see if the forum whiners were right about the "if you build it they will come" idea. Apparently, the truth is that most players don't LIKE the KDF. Not as simple as not liking the ships or toys, but not having any interest in playing the faction at all.

Nope, I don't support cryptics power grab and making things I already purchased obsolete then asking for more money to make them competitive to the new tier.

I didn't buy the Operations Pack. I've never bought ships for STO. Hiopefully I'll be able to upgrade something besides my veteran destroyers. The news articles have been a bit contradictory on that.

No, I did buy the Romulan pack though. I do play all three factions and did buy the lifetime during the beta. I just feel that Destiny Rising pack, which is basically ships; does not provide enough to make it worth while. I may change my mind after I have played after the update, but I doubt it. Btw I might have been more interested if there were more than 2 ships in the Klingon and Romulan factions.
