Unable to authentificate

I get this error when I try to login to the launcher.
Anyone else got this problem ?

    Same here, I've tried changing password, and launching through arc instead, but the moment it hits the launcher it goes unable to authenticate

    I was able to play about an hour ago and logged out to get something to eat.
    I'm now getting the unable to authenticate error. Tried rebooting and checking game cache but no joy. :mad:

    :( I play both Star Trek Online and Neverwinter via ARC and while ARC recognizes my User ID and PW, both STO and NW are "unable to authenticate" me. Curiously, Perfect World logs in just fine Via ARC .:(

    Yeah it won't authenticate. Tried changing password as well. It just flat will not login. I haven't played in weeks. First time I try to come back and play some it won't work. Not a good sign.;)
    And I'm old, not dead.
    If your're so smart how come you don't own everything? :D

    Having the sme issue now too. Rebooted, cleareed everything, tried several different things.....
    Unable to login and play because the game is "Unable to authenticate"
    PWE Bug team, are you here looking at this?

    Since this guy is too important to bother to inform us what was in fact said on FB and twitter, here it is:

    "We are experiencing technical difficulties with our servers at the moment. We are working hard to correct the problem and will notify you as soon as we have a fix in place. Thanks for your patience everyone!"

    So guess we don't have to worry cause it's on their end not ours. Just have to wait.

    Yeah I sign off to go to the gym and come back to the Unable to Authenticate issue. Darn me for wanting to get abs :P

    This is very bad, are they getting hit by ddos attacks as well, started playing bout 3 weeks ago, was highly impressed, now last week problem after problem, can log into perfect world fine, but says unable to authenticate, and this comes up before I finish the word unable on google, which means, a lot of people, are having this problem!!!

    might want to sit back and pop some popcorn they added new stuff to the game and it tends to give problems so if this is happening with a small update to the game imagine when Oct. 14th hits what will happen. most cases a few crashes for the week and patches for the next few weeks after that but it will pass just like all the ones before this. ........ Hopefully :-)

    I also can't get passed login for STO, but also for Champions Online. I reset my password and still no go. So definitely there is some sort of login error for the games.

    I've got the same problem as everyone else here.

    I'd imagine it has something to do with accounts that were originally cryptic accounts as mine was. OLD accounts that had to be converted over to the new system from the old servers. It sounds like the older servers are not communicating.

    I'm thinking this is the case because my friend got fed up and started a brand new account, thinking they just couldn't remember their login/password- and he's able to get in and play just fine with the 'new' account. Whereas his older one (which was probably a cryptic account) cannot log in or "won't authenticate" with the old server.

    Here's to hoping that they can fix it and save all those old accounts!
