Servers Down Again??

Just had a game crash, went to reload: "unable to auntenticate".

Computer says no :(
The expansion hasnt dropped yet chaps, i didnt think this was supposed to happen til then ;)

    I am in game, it's working... Heck I even logged out to check, and I logged in fine

    Your non-trustworthy source is wrong (not entirely surprising btw).
    Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...

    It only seems to be an issue for European players though. I can't even connect to the account server to get back in.

    There is something wrong. There is a whole other thread of people reporting the same issue...

    So the authentication server is screwed up right now. A DEV has already said they're working it though at least...

    You can stay in game as long as you dont log-out.

    But you will not be able to login again. There is already a post in the PROPER forum, in the bugs section.

    Odd...
    Defiance had been having problems all weekend, with reports of DDOS attacks. Now STO's having authication problems...
    Possible coincidence, conspiracy, or just the server hampsters going on strike again.

    Its not isolated to European servers.

    I'm not a European player and I'm having the error as well. As are many others.

    Yeah that seems viable, im in Wales uk if thats any help.

    EDIT: seems to be not just limited to European players, and as you say yes it seems people are still ingame.
    Just bad luck i had my gamecrash when I did I guess.

    Annoying, yes...VERY yes...; on the other hand, can you imagine the chaos if this didn't happen until DR went live? ...I'd rather they get it ironed out now....

    it will happen once DR goes live, lol. they aren't going to iron out anything.

    From what I can tell the problem only presents itself if you log out for whatever reason, so I would not suggest doing that lol!

    Obviously not, since it says that the game server is down... It's not... Just unstable.

    Had a similar issue last night shortly after midnight EST. All of Cryptic's games were having the same issue, not entirely unexpected since they share a server farm, but also SWTOR and DCUO were having problems.
