    Well, we do need a reason to put our T1-PVE Ships back in the shipyard for some of the year...

    damn i was hoping for mirror invasion. I have more characters closer to finishing that event than I do Cataclysm.

    I hate to mention this, but did Cryptic really think this through? Two weeks worth of shards to get a box with pretty decent marks and in two weeks the bonus mark weekend starts? :cool:

    Just curious about the cooldown on the event. I'm assuming I can do this on all of my characters, but will I need to wait an hour after swapping to replay the STF on a different toon?

    Unless they changed it, once a particular character plays it that character will not get another shard 'til played again 20 hours after the one that rewarded a shard was completed. IE no account shared cooldowns.

    What I hated was there was no way to determine if your cool down was up as there was no timer showing you that. Kind of had to remember the times I did it last.

    i watched the patch notes, okay.. nothing in it, i can go out in the normal world and meet..... people.... waches facebook feed of STO..... Crystalline Cataclysm.... WTF

    why wasnt this in the patch notes 5 hours ago?

    ....I have the original event half-done on one of my toons, I'll have to compare the new rewards vs the old and see whether I should complete the old one first.

    I don't remember what the previous reward "crystalline shard" was for, does anyone remember and I assume it's still good if I have the project slotted?

    The first reward was a space pet shard. The second reward was a DOff that had a chance to make a Tyken's Rift aftershock. EDIT: And yes it should still be available if you hadn't finished the last slotted special.

    this is awsome i`ve been waiting ages and ages for a CE shard event, my rommie has an unfinished project and just needs 2 shards so i should be ok for that plus the new project also.
    three weeks = 21 shards, thats 2 for my unfinished project plus 14 for the new project leaves 5 to spair.
    might be able to get a few bonus goes as well.

    the cool down is for the character not the account, as soon as you finish on one character you can switch to the next and go again strait away.

    once you have done all your characters you can play it again once the timers run down but you wont get any more shards for 20 hours.

    with at least 21 days of the event and only 14 to finish the projects you should have plenty to finish both but personally i would clear the old one first but its your choice.

    I would've thought events like this would be part of the in-game calander, but there I go thinking again :P

    Is it just my bad memory or did they stealth delete the shards from the last time the CE event played through? Missing all the extra shards on all of my characters.

    Would be a pretty douche move, if they did.

    Always use your shards, I say, even if you can't fill the entire project.

    I can really feel the power creep since the last one. It's way easier pugging it this time.

    Dont think its the powercreep (although there's been a lot), rather that having it in the year-round pug queues with decent rewards has incentivized the masses to learn how to play it properly. Last year the tourists were all tanking the large fragments, this year most people seem to be at least trying to avoid them, and that is probably 90% of the strategy right there.

    Well, I for one, wish CCE was always like this - for the first time ever, 4 successive CCEs went by without any boff ability lag, and even my KDF's racing Vo'Quv managed it with no issues at all.

    I only had spare banked shards on my main toon (three to be precise), and they were still there when I logged in esrlier to throw into the project if that helps at all.

    That would make too much sense. We can't expect Cryptic to do too many logical things in one season, now can we...
