This post is intended to be a guide for official Romulan Republic's uniform colors. The selected colors are carefully referenced from NPCs, ship's internal crews, or Cryptic's photos. To use this guide, simply replace the default uniform color code with class appropriate color. For example, science player can replace their default yellow (D7) to light blue (F16). The result is consistent with the story's setting. This thread might expend and update in the future when more information become available.
HQ Command (Green) - E4
This color can be seen on Admiral Kererek on New Romulus
Tactical (Red) - B5
The direct translated color from purchased tactical bridge officer is B8. Strangely, it does not match the ship interior crew's color (not to mention B8 is very pinkish), therefore it's been replaced to B5 after color matching.
Science (Blue) - F16
This is a direct translation from purchased science bridge officer. The color also matches the internal crew's color.
Engineering / Security (Yellow) - D7
Default color
Logistic (Army Green) - D24
This color can be seen on logistic personnel on the flotilla, and their uniforms are more of a mixed bag in style. Generally, they use less peripheral equipments, wear loose pants and short boots.
Admiral's Uniform (Veteran's award)
V. 1 (Brown-trimmed) - Yellow (D7)
V. 2 (Grey-trimmed) - Light grey (I20)
V. 3 (Gold-trimmed) - Dark grey (I22)
* All may use the same green, red, blue, yellow theme
* Suggestion: White gloves. They are worn by real life admirals
Republic Dress Uniform (Veteran's award)
Primary color - Dark green (D24)
Secondary color - Dark green (D24)
Trim - Beige (A6)
Glove - Black (I24)
Boots - Black (B18), trim (A6)
All Departments:
Undershirt - I23, trim I21
Glove - I23, trim I21
Suggestions:
Drape - Purple (H3, to match "warm" colors), Indigo (G21, to match "cool" colors), or just same as uniform color. Purple suggests royalty and it's a traditional color from Imperial Romulan Navy
Republic Uniform 1 - For Officers
Republic Uniform 2 - For Enlisted
Comments and suggestions are welcomed, have fun!

greatly appreciated

nice work in collecting these and trying to tie them in with in game hints but... too federation for my tastes
Agreed; All green-and-black should be standard/engineering/science, blue accents medical (Shared with Feds, sure, but it just looks right), and purple accents command, tactical, and operations. The ridiculous Color Trinity was silly enough painted all over the Federation...

who kept pestering the commander for an increasingly aggressive approach it might actually be that blue is the colour of tactical.;)
My eng actually does wear a yellow/green color.
My character Tsin'xing
Thank you and I appreciate all of your comments and opinions.
I am using RR Uniform 1 for all my Bridge Officers, and my Captain wears RR Uniform 2 (cause of teh fancy shoulders). that is, until I unlock more Uniforms. my plan is for my Captain to distinguish himself by wearing a separate Uniform that no one else on my ship gets to wear. also, Rank shoulderpads when I unlock em.
looking for a good way to incorporate Tactical Red into my Captain's outfit(just to denote which branch my Captain came from), without overshadowing the Command Green. Perhaps I'll make my Shoulderpads Red. *shrug*
just want to note, that the Yellow for Engineering is *C7*, not D7.
also, do Medical Personnel wear Science Blue, or do they have their own color?
and where are these Logistics people on my ship and when/where do I have any control over what colors they wear?
Thanks for input and sorry for the late response
The RR medical personnel seem to wear a while/grey uniform, which is unfortunately not available at this moment. The medical people can be seen on the flotilla's infirmary.
Logistic crews are on the flotilla's capital ship only, which makes sense because it's probably also a supply ship.
I double checked the engineering color code and it was D7. What I did was I applied the RR uniform 01 to the character, and then checked the palette for the code.
Eg. for science with Romulan Republic 2 upper I opted for:
E3 (green)
E21 (blue)
E21 (blue)
D8 (gold'ish)
with those colours repeated for other parts. A21 (red) replacing blue for tactical and D21 (yellow) for engineering.
Looks much nicer IMO.

All outfit pieces are Romulan Republic 1
Upper = D7, I18, I21, I23
Hands = I23, I21
Chest Gear (optional) = B17, A6, A19 (alternative to brown pouches is B17, B17, A17)
Wrists = B17, B14
Undershirt = I23, I21
Belt = B17, A6, A19, A3 (alternative to brown pouches is B17, B17, A17, A3)
Lower = I21, I23, I23
Boots = B17, B15, B15, B17
Here is a side-by-side comparison (my character is on the left)
Althrough i don't do RP with other ppl, i like my crew/ship/uniform be as harmonious and fitting as possible.
This is very close to what I use for my Romulan crews. One thing I do differently is I use the division color on the drapes, since the green "command" jacket doesn't reflect the captain's division. My Starfleet captains also wear appropriate division colors.
Admiral Dananra Lekall - R.R.W. Teverresh, Deihu-class Warbird
General J'Kar son of K'tsulan - I.K.S. Dlahath, Vo'devwl-class Carrier

Is anyone going to update this on STOwiki?
I would really like to see that updated with the Romulan uniforms.
Also, what are the color codes for the Reman outfits from Star Trek: Nemesis?

I use the metallic colours, gold and silver to designate rank groupings. Gold for command, silver for non-command boffs.
However, the KDFRom boots for the women are injuries waiting to happen, so I use miners' boots for everyone.
Unfortunately, the devs haven't gotten around to giving us security escorts and ship crew with uniforms other than the butt-fugly FedRom ones.
No it's not. There is a Reman Nemesis (Really badly done) but not a Romulan Nemesis uniform.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I'd rather let my Romulan teal/green or purple , which I can not use on my RR/KDF (damn , why?)
And that Nemesis/ENT uniforms i want since LoR was released. http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070107085008/memoryalpha/en/images/b/b8/Romulan_uniform_2154.jpg
I figure a good workaround for not using the Fed colours is:
- yellow for standard officer BOFFs (most Republic NPCs are in that colour, so it must be officer's standard colour)
- dark green / logistics for department head BOFFs
- admiral's green for my character
The game sort of agrees on your coloration by rank. Commander Jarok wears a greener jacket than the standard Republic NPCs, and Keretek wears vivid green:
http://sto.gamepedia.com/Guide:_Uniform_colors/Romulan_uniforms#Romulan_Republic_Uniforms
But part of Jarok's crew wears gray, a color not seen on anyone else, so who knows.
Tactical: Green
Engineering: Blue
Sci/Med: Grey
Captain/Flag officers: Purple.
Made a Reman the other Day and I have my Tac as Green, Engineer kind of a brown, and Sci/Med as a burgundy but all on a purple base...
