Just to be clear when I had concerns about the game dying, that was quite an old post.
Also, to respond to a comment made on one of these posts, I never said I didn't like this game.
And another player and myself had concerns about the game dying, and I did notice this game gets slow at times.
I would also like to point out we should be able to voice our opinions and concerns on this game which is what these forums are for.
With that in mind, I thank Cryptic, PWE, the Devs and everyone for their hard work in the creation and maintenance of STO.

But seriously ... good points there OP. I agree. Season 9/9.5 and 8 did some damage and depending on how they handle X2 T5 / T6 ship issue ... there will be many fewer zen to fill the devs stockings this Christmas.
But if they survived Beta / Release / Year of Hell / F2P ... what are the chances that STO is officially the Teflon DON of MMOs?

I think a little part of me dies everytime a "the game is dying" thread pops up. At this point, STo continues to limp on, barely alive, whether it will die or live on until next week remains uncertain...meanwhile the poor players who have been slapped in the face and thrown under a bus somehow came back to life and continue to post on these forums. Can we just stop with the figures of speech for one day!?!? You guys are killin' me!!
In all seriousness, season 9.5 stinks but we've survived worse. We'll live.
The game is not dying. Players quitting over petty things like uniforms is not a sign of failure, it's an everyday thing. Its been my observation for years now that games I my start declining when companies start listening to what the players say is wrong with the game, rather than sticking with what they had intended. The only thing players know is what hps them and what hurts them, and they care only about giving themselves an advantage. The devs should ignore all player input from now on and design their game according to their own ideas. The only player reports they should be taking seriously are bugs and glitches, not items being OP'd or ships needing upgrades, or faction specific pieces of equipment needing needing o be made available to everyone. These stupid co.ainta are merely players wanting everything at once without making a sacrifice. The game has been fracked with enough due to player input, and look at the state its in.
I completely agree. The toxic attitude of players the last few days has been amazing to me. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest the devs saying they are ignoring the players and the forums with as much whining and gnashing of teeth over their ships being .001% less efficient being "obsolete", among other things.

STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

No serious game developer makes a game without cookies, and it's simply stupid.
