I just had a thought that X2 was being spearheaded by Stahl....if this is true then maybe we have a glimmer of hope after all.

Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

That I did... Not sure why, but I repeatedly make that mistake for some reason...

I think I have a subconscious desire to use "C" when I spell English words, because the English language uses the C significantly more often than the danish does.

Anyways, thanks for correcting me... I probably will remember that the next time thanks to you.

Or it's the subconscious association with Gordon Gekko, whom I believe shares some similarities with CaptainGeko.

Well, "Gecko" is the proper spelling for the small reptile that clings to walls. Geko is the spelling Al Rivera uses though. So technically, Geko spells Gecko wrong.

I am not sure you can technically spell a Nick wrong... unless he intended to write Gecko... Still... I spelled it wrong, and I entirely admit that.

Wherecan I find out about X2?

Thus far, only slight info has been released in various podcasts and tweets...

We know that they are working on "a metric ton of ships"... thats 2000 pounds, so it can't be a lot.

    Nothing Official-official yet though.

official-Official stuff will be coming up this saturday @ 2-3:30 pm Mountain time (1-2:30 pm Pacfic) at the Las Vegas Convention. They've been waiting all this time to tell us at the biggest star trek convention.

To any of the attendees asking question at the STLV convention, particularly the podcasts/bloggers:

This would be a great time to ask questions, such as "Is Daniel Stahl working on STO again?" (with follow-up questions prepared).

Like vegeta50024 shared above: official news is, well... official news. The rest is rumor.

Yea, because the guy responsible rabbit tagging and rep grind ad nauseum would be such a good thing for the future...

I'm not one to be a grammar freak on the internet, but damn that was painful to decipher.

    But more to the point:

Dyson Sphere wasn't any easier or harder than any of the other rep systems.

The point I was making was we shouldn't be clamoring for a guy whose idea of endgame content was tagging rabbits. We shouldn't be clamoring for a guy whose best response to removing fleet mark rewards was to ask for Harlem Shake videos.

funny all the time he was incharge all you can find fault with is space bunnies.............. and still dont see the new EP being any better because this game may be developed by cryptic but its PWE who runs the show imo and Dyson Sphere was better then the rep grind before hand............... or why did the new EP think it was easy if it was the same...............

I also mentioned the Rep systems and disconnected responses to the community. I plead to you to read a whole post before commenting.

What else did we get under Stahl? The nerfing of Foundry Rewards, time gates, the dilithium refining cap, emphasis on grinds, refusal to even entertain something different besides endless grind, lock boxes substituting as content, the Romulan (not a) faction, Zen store power creep etc.

And I never implied I liked the current producer over Stahl. All I said was we shouldn't be clamoring for Stahl because part of the reason why this game has stagnated and become just enough drop in the endless sea of MMO (instead of standing out and not solely relying on the IP) is due to Stahl's decisions.
