Who was or is your most memorable PvPer / Fleet for good or bad reasons?

I'll give a few to start off with:

Era - The best healer ever grace this game

Ivantom - First ever Panda to be kicked out

Vad - What an amazing Sci escort he was

Rock & Aythani - Awesome escorts

QEW - The original Evul Klingons

RE - first ever premade match i was in and got my TRIBBLE handed to me. What a lesson that was Horjan & Heizluefta :)

HOBO's - Love em or hate em, if not for them, Kerrat would have been sent to a lonely grave

Mew - He doesn't know this, but he unknowingly taught me how to Escort PvP

Minimax - For sticking to what he wanted to get out of this game

    Alright list begins:

Jacob Lightener - he made me love tactical cruiser, not just escorts

Giovanni - for being most unpredictable in PvP

Minimax - my Defiant would probably be scrap metal without him

Nando - secretly taught me how to build a ship

Edna - setting a standard for me to reach for escort ship piloting

Saxfire - weapons aren't the only thing that do damage

Ralen - my wingman during scrambled Thalaron in Ker'rat, you know what to do with a B'rel and an Excelsior

    Torach - man you're a frigging threat

Scimitar Barbie - my Scimitar wouldn't be what it is today without his help

some HoBO - even if I got kicked many are good guys and I still enjoy a lot playing with them

names are in random order lol

Era - not just because he was the best healer, but because of how he formed communities: whenever someone from TSI logged in, Era had already sent the team invite before that player had even fully loaded into the map

Zorena and Wrath - for giving me my first chance to participate in true premade PVP

Science Wizards - the best group of players that wasn't even really a fleet

Zukunft - great community builder, unfortunately he was driven out of the game

Ninjaboy - my, what a character

Santa Claws - way before he became Aytanhi, this was the gold standard for sci dps

Mikey, Lex Steele, Star*Dagger - no PVPer can say that they have seen it all if they haven't seen this madness

Knights Templar - thanks for giving us the KT league, I never again had that much fun in the game

Evilhippo & Snide - for Breaking the Planet with me when S2 temporarily broke the PVP queues

Sivar & Cpt. Duck & the rest of the old SVK players - I'm still a Klingon at heart

    Minimax - tricobalts rock!

RE - the old crew with Schwarze Sonne & co always had new interesting builds when everyone else was playing the standard stuff

the entire old TSI crew - Why am I even still here after they had gone?

    Gripple'chew - puff puff pass

Blackjack - probably the only one of the legendary old KDF DPSers who flew a raptor instead of a BoP

    Steve Hale - /target Hale

Faithborn - it's the resists, stupid!

There are probably quite a few that I missed in that list, but it appears that there is a common theme to my list: with very few exceptions, they all have left due to Cryptic's development decisions.

    Player:

MT, just for being the best vaper this game has ever seen and for being the reason RE Healer tremendously increased their performance because he forced us to adapt to this crazy damage. No other player harmed our premade the way he did....in the end it was about how to defeat MT not about how to defeat the other 4 Pandas with him.

    Fleet:

Sad Pandas for setting the standard in various different parts of premade PVP.

OrganizedPvP: the best community I've ever seen
Sal - for kicking the evul KDF out of Ker'rat :D
Colonelkira - for being one of the best healers I've seen (Rrulok)
Hannibal, Bauklotz, Hassan Brutalo: For being great teammates and fantastic escort pilots

joker1374 (aka Shark): one of the real old pvp veteran still in the game, taught me how to pvp and make builds from the beginning. A real master :)

MT, minimax, meiegerd, lymuv, janus, zenith, evial85: the best vapers in the game so far, they led me to build more resilient and fast ships

naz: he helped us how to build and handle vapers with great results this year before he left the game, always a good teammate and player

entrax, sodrick1, spakka, optimakrip, nuvok, edna, colonelkira, trinity: the best healers out there, is due to them if "kron" exists and i love do the healer now sometimes, an aspect of the game that i had always ignored at the beginning

hannibal, entrax, hank, bethshepard, jacknm1, hassan, zelda, damian, siegfried, edna, shak, dounat, baukl0tz, evial85, spakka, shark, nucaster, riccardo: incredibly talented escort pilots, had with them the best fights. I learned a lot on escort piloting just seeing them fight. I would never have reached this level without them

t'lilu, qoro, mira theng, jake, hank, guinan, entrax, paris, lambsia, ivantom, lucho80 etc...: my main sci toon madame curie was created thanks to them. The art of crowd control, disabilng, controlling the enemy... wow, they are simply masters in this scenario

ic, re, hobo: the hardest fleet premades to beat, i learned a lot from you guys <3

sad pandas and tsi: for being the old gold standard of sto pvp

gio: one of my great potential pvp "student" :D

evial85: for being one of the best dps pvper and vaper out there, i did with him one of the most deadly duo in arena (madame curie - key)

csi: for being my fleet from the beginning of sto, a real home :)

So sorry if i forgot someone ^_^

gorn of the dead. He mentored me throughout my PvP career and was the first person to take a chance on the noob in the mirror raptor. Always re-invited me to the team even if it was clear that I was the cause of a lose and was always respectful to enemies and friends. Not only taught me how to play but taught me how true vets act by example.

Also HoBOs for taking me in and teaching me the ins and outs of premade play.

All the true KDF that I played matches with before the queue merger.

There have been so many great players in STO over the years. I am glad I got to know as many as i have... I know there are likely 3x as many that I never really got the change to know better.
I don’t know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

First off Mancoms list is great. I nodded as I read it. Lots of great players on that list and they where all good people as well.

I will mention Dagger first. Crazy to most yes... and well crazy at times to everyone yes. Still the amount of entertainment value I got out of flying with that guy made up for any cra* I took for forming on wing. (inside joke for a few there sorry)

I will metnion a few names that are not well known and I hope a few people still remember there epxloits. JiggleBilly, Ziria, Ghostwulf, Ashgrey, Kilawpilath, Gripple chew, Captain Seki (Soshin), Warlord Verswal, Slick (pigeonslayer), IceCrystal. Yes those are all old Grethor/RzR guys that have almost all moved on now. The best times I remember having in STO was with that crew... and they where all TOP notch players, and yes they where all in on the Dagomedy. Getting Emails in Romulan was just to much entertainment value to pass up.

JSimon... one of the most underrated all around players that ever played.
Fallout was a solid STO performer.
Rickey Bobby for his unequaled Troll which he almost always backed up in the field. lol
    Herb Husker... solid escort player.
Bob the Yak.... who was one of the most rounded of the games early PvP players, he may have stepped away from premade stuff long ago, still if you run into him in a que he is GOING to turn the match.
Steve Hale... For being so laid back I can only assume he is medicated. He is/was I guess also one of the games great puggin escorts.
    Truthseeker... great all around player
Glam Darling... Have seen him log in here and there over the last few years. not sure sure he has ever gotten back into it... he was a solid lore guy back in the day though.
Cpt Duck- long gone and I bet mostly forgotten one of the early solid Klink players.
CrustMac... Yes you know its true. If the game had a lady byng to hand out he would have won it multiple times.
Furque - With out a doubt the most well rounded player to EVER play STO. He could call targets he could sci he could escort he could heal he could do most of them on the same build. :) I still remember fighting him and some QEW guys in some friendly training style matches. We won one match pretty handily... next match 5min later they came back with a completely different Furque team lay out and smoked us hard. Very smart player.
Beagles - Not only could he play dmg he was also a nice guy and likely still holds the record for Forum bans.
Lord Tide- Tide was a great player no doubt. To really appreciate Tide you had to be on a Teamspeak with him. He would call targets by using his own personal nicknames for the other teams player (which he wouldn't tell you before the match). Trying to play a serious game while you are laughing and crying is not easy.
Naz - everyone knows him as a PvP cheerleader... he is also one of the most unique players to have played the game.
Horizon- on the best pug escort guys ever and one of the classiest.

There are tons of people I am sure I am forgetting.

Brandon BMR1580 for being the best guy to fly with ever.

Naz and Jorf for helping me become the shot caller and leader in the game I am today. *CADENCE*

And Hank. For being himself. And for being my friend when nothing surrounded us but each other's enemies.

So many others have impacted the game they are too much to list after 4 years of pew. You know who you are. You know the respect.

    Have fun kill bad guys

I never really knew anyone personally, though I have probably bumped into everyone at some point (I go into OPvP from time to time). I remember Star Dagger, crazy but cool. And then of course there's Thissler (Lymuv) who I based my vaper on.

    *Looks around*

Just for the record, I've 1-shotted Scora, without dying!

...then she promptly came back to life. Stupid Voth necromancers.

Great. Being remembered most as a cheerleader...lol Thanks i guess....

How could i forget Jsimon, Fallout and Husker? Could not agree more. Husker was probably the best secondary tac in game. (Not second in quality) He executed whatever the caller's battle plan was flawlessly every time i played with him. That's what i remember the most. Very rare to have that in a teams.

I doubt I'll get any mentions, but ah well.

As for those who I remember:

Sargon, for creating the idea of PvP Bootcamp.

All the TRIBBLE who, for a brief moment at least at the beginning of it, banded together freely to work on PvP Bootcamp.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.

here here. Wasn't just Sargon though. Dont forget Killer and Pheo.

Shoot, Pheo aka Nixtux and Killer, another 2 i forgot.

Pheo - For me, he was one of the foundations on which i crafted PvP premades for Pandas. Just like what Husker was as a secondary escort, Pheo was my Sci guy i could depend on. Pair him up with Bieber (Another all time great i forgot) , and damn i felt safe. Them two put together controlling enemy escorts was a ballet in motion. Never known enemy escorts get so frustrated Give them a battle plan pre match and they crafted their science ships to suit. When they said "its ready", never had to question it.

Killer - He was like the science atom bomb you could use to drop on the enemy team. Outstanding "TRIBBLE em up" Sci

Really you and a few other guys like Kila I always loved talking game with because you always looked at things in a different way. I know you are responsible for a handful of hardcore meta builds that changed the game for good amounts of time.

So there take that one and be nice about it. ;)

    Peoples

Kell is a superior partner in crime

Zelda is the most efficient caller of all time.

Markg understands the importance of being space-sexy.

Blappers and Mindsharp are tireless allies.

Mini is explosive, and he catches you off-guard like the god**** Batman.

Tal's a good guy and a great backstop when we want to run goof builds.

Neepa plays better than anybody else could 20,000 leagues under the sea.

    "Marc is a legend."

    Hank gives the best lessons.

Hannibal, David, and Turian (Mira Theng) are superb teammates.

Snog has tested everything. Literally everything.

Bauklotz is Bauklotz. Impossible to forget that guy.

    Naz is Naz.

    Fleets

HoBO - Shameless plug! HoBO is awesome, join today for 40 million EC payable to me!

Sad Pandas - Paraphrasing what Naz said about HoBO, love them or hate them the Pandas were the ever-moving target for a good while.

Nova Core - It may have all gone to hell but I met some awesome people at nC.

Inner Circle - Hank does what Hank does.. he puts out a quality product.

RE - Awesome guys that are always down for a match. Their timing and reaction speed are things you remember when you think about precision teams in PvP.

Vice Squad - I never thought I would say it but I miss those guys! They were genuinely fun to fight in the arena and in the forums. Lucho still throws down though, he's a tricky vamp.

Lots more but I've already written a novel. <3's to all who still queue up and participate in tourneys, and a raised glass to the old friends, enemies, and randos who are no longer with us (in the game).

    Much snipped for brevity.

Even back at the start of 2012, Archived Post knew how to start off a reply to one of my posts. ;)

What? Everybody was mentioning everybody that's basically been anybody as long as I can remember as well as some folks that are everybody more recently...

Archived Post deserves some recognition! :P

edit: Okay, I couldn't do a serious post because there is no way that I wouldn't forget somebody and I wouldn't want to upset somebody potentially that this nobody forgot somebody...so...I kicked back, hit my spacebar and A key, let out a wheeeee...and mentioned Archived Post.

Thissler - For videos that got me curious about PvP in the first place.

Renim - The Classic Pug Healer!

Horizon - The one whose attitude got me saying, "Take it easy!"

Virusdancer - "Take it easy" number 2!

Sargon - PvP Bootcamp, nuff sed.

Snog - For quite some time, any time I posted a question in OPVP, there'd be a PM from this guy.

Drunk - For his work on the PvP build thread.

Hilbert - For his guide. First thing I ever read about keybinds.

Mimey - For level-headed discussion, easy!

The Kerrat Guard - Including all HOBOs and Feds. Keeping me on my toes!

    Fleets
TRH I remember. Sad Pandas were the prime example of a competitive fleet. HOBO holding the mantle of the evul Klingons. Remnants of TSI. Mostly remembered from when I was just starting out.

I'm sure I've missed a few. Respect to all!
