    why do you have this forum
    i get better luck geting killed than getting help around here lol

    and dont tell it is about my computer
    beacuse it is new
    and about my connection beacuse
    it worked like the charm before maintenence
    and that last patch
    so help me with facts and not about that i need new laptop or internet connection

    The 'Net Test' results should be in the 300 - 500 range or better for the 1st and 3rd columns, and in the 15 - 20 range in the 2nd. Your results are well below this, which indicates a connection quality issue of some kind... Now 'Net Test' talks to a simple diagnostic server located on the same local network as the STO Servers, which are completely out of the picture here... This shows that the maintenance patch has nothing to do with your problems, and that its probably Internet Route quality related...

    And you entered the 'Trace Route' command wrong... it should be...

    tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com

    you entered a extra period, as well as miss-spelling the host name... And while you're at it, you should try...

    pathping patchserver.crypticstudios.com

    and post those results to see if your ISP or its Internet Backbone provider is throwing away data on your connection...

    so if it realy problem with my connection
    then how in the hell am i be able to play with out problem

    if my connection is bad than i should not be able to even start playing in the first time

    every f*cking time it is our fault
    our computer it bad
    our internet is bad
    our this or our that
    it is never problem with you
    but it is problem about you
    about your bad patch that has corrupted my hogg files
    so cut the TRIBBLE about that it is out fault
    beacuse it is not
    game like game is good
    it is realy good
    but support sucks
    on forum you could not get help
    even if you are dieing
    nobody caress about customers
    nobody caress about nothing
    only thing you know to do is to blame us
    to tell it is not you fault
    everybodys fault it is
    only not yours
    for a good game you need good support
    witch you dont have
    you need good forum with people willing to help

    The Diagnostic results that you posted show that you have a connection quality issue that has nothing to do with the latest STO Patch... (And you're the source of this, so you should know what was involved in taking it...)

    So,do you actually want to be helped ??? Or are you just trying to vent here...

    is under 100
    i have only one result above 200 ms

    and how to discover which hogg file is corrupted
    beacuse force vertify does not fix problem

    so if it realy problem with my connection
    then how am i be able to play with out problem

    200ms is bad, as the recommended upper limit for reliable game play is 180ms... Plus where the slow down occurs can provide hints on to what the cause of the problem is

    Now you also have to keep in mind that ISP and Backbone Providers constantly change their network configuration in response to changing network load, as well as changes to connection fees. Without before and after network diagnostic results to compare, it is simply not possible to comment on what has changed and is causing your issue...

    And just because you can start playing, doesn't mean you can continue playing, as this depends on if you can maintain a quality connection. Network issues tend to be intermittent in nature...

    Now were still waiting on the 'Trace Route' and 'Path Ping' diagnostic results. Unless you actually know what the results mean, you need to post them so that someone who does know can explain the results to you...

    Also, every time I try to start, I get a message that the system has detected an error, and then I OK it to verfy the files. It goes thru this process, then allows me to click the 'Engage' button. The 'Cryptic' load screen goes thru, then it locks up on the 'Legacy of Romulus' screen. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The 'Net Test' results are very lopsided... Great bandwidth going one direction (probably to STO) very poor bandwidth going in the other direction...


    In your case, there isn't much you can do (except make a public comment on the fcc.gov webpage...) as Verizon has a known beef sending traffic through Cogent Communication networks (which hosts STO)...

    Is there anything else that could cause this? I have previously run the game without issue, but this is the first time attempting to run it on a brand new computer.

    The 'Net Test' results are so abnormal, that only your ISP can be causing this...

    After a clean install on windows 8.1 I still had an issue. I unchecked full screen and that solved it for me. I am using surround at 5760 x 1080 on my desktop and the when the game starts, it is still starts in full screen. Hopefully this helps somebody after all the 'official solutions' that didn't help.

    5760 x 1080 ??? How much Video RAM does your system have???

    Common system, 1920 x 1024 pixel resolution = 1,966,080 pixels...

    Your system, 5760 x 1080 pixel resolution = 6,220,800 pixels... or over 3 times the Video RAM requirements of a common system...

    This make this game un-playable, cleared the space of voth, was killing planet-killers, crash and after relog zone is full, lots of work and no dilitium, same happens on ground battle-zone (clear map, crash when rex comes, zone full after relog) !!!
