First of all, I wasn't trolling just answering a question you asked, but however as usual you take a very negative approach and attack the person.
Again, on the website that you linked, Ex Astris Scientia, it shows the screen grabs where they identify the ships in the Storm Front fleet. Show me a quote where they are not Steamrunners?
Of course you name-dropped, because you think if you just say a name associated with the production of ENT, that people would just drop it. Besides the fact that show would re-purpose ships from all over DS9 and VOY and yet you cannot accept there was a Steamrunner in a shot, but you will make an excuse for the K'tinga.
Back to the topic;
I agree that the interview failed on many parts. Specifically, STOked's failure to research and Geko's comments about the forums.
Though I do like how the crafting and new doff has designs for mobile applications.

All I asked was evidence of your claim, not an argument over CBS reusing assets.
IF they admit they were Steamrunners then that ship was used for over 200 years. Else they were a ship that looked similar to the Steamrunner. As for the Dauntless, people want it in STO, if you don't like it, by all means make a thread saying so.
If you wish to continue, then please take it to PMs. The thread has derailed enough, and I apologize to everyone.
I won't deliver any opinion about Geko and team here. [...]
On that Feedback-Issue. You got fooled, you are getting fooled, and you will get fooled. Remember the LoR-Launch. A lot of feedback on tribble, and all we got was an Update with a load full of Bugs. Hardly playable for about a month. It is the same with every Update.
They are wondering about all the ranting and bad atmosphere on forums. Who constantly oppresses and ignores concerns and critics, don't need to wonder. They do not care.
And don't forget their own "Fight Club like Rule" here....
Not only they can not deliver any real content any more. Now they are about to ruin all the UI as well. And as usual for TRIBBLE-like changes they aren't even tell you what the improvement shall be like. They are just ignoring the issue. They have any kind of idea, now swallow it!

Once thing I learned is that feedback, aside from the potential of being ignore*, it can also just influence what is happening after the release of whatever you gave feedback on.
And not all constructive feedback is useful. If you propopse a completely different, alternate system (be it a UI or game mechanics), it's likely to be useless to Cryptic, because the point wher eto decide between alternatives is long past when you see it on Tribble.
*) ignored or dismissed?
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Having listened to it, I understand his point of view more, and I do think the criticism on the forums was a bit overblown and ranty-just-because-it's-different in the usual MMO forum way. Having used the UI for a while now, I prefer it to the old one, mostly. The really legitimate functionality criticism (re. filtering and the drop down DOFF select menu) he was well aware of and answered, and we know they have something ready in the pipeline for that.
The exploration thing I'm still not happy about, not by a long shot. I'm sure they constantly remind themselves as a team of what the essence of Trek is, but I think they need to revisit exploration and "strange new worlds" as being really core to the whole reason why Star Trek excited people in the first place.
However, his "power creep" answer was encouraging - apparently that's "going to be a non-issue very soon" (or words to that effect). I wonder what he means? Sounds good and interesting.

I considered it a bit scary, actually. Maybe expansion 2 will have a boatload of ships because Tier 6?
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
That would throw out such a lot of people of the game. A Level Cap Increase is nothing else than a new need for neverending grind.
During the interview, Captain Geko (Al Rivera) mentioned a future skills revamp. That topic has been cited before by him, discussed as recently as April 2014; see STO Wiki ("Upcoming content") for the reference.
Tier 6 is a natural progression for this game. And a good time to revamp the skills. Assuming we get more powerful ships... (Typhoon? Jupiter? Time will tell, likely during STO's Season 10, arriving later this year.)
As he also stated in the interview, the play model IS grinding. It's the reward for time invested in the game. It's intended to engage players, to get them to return day after day. (This isn't aimed at you, zeratk. I know you're just making an observation.) Many don't like it, but that's the reality.
So, fellow players (and podcast listeners), how can STOked, Priority One and other podcasts provide more objective, relevant interviews?
Las Vegas -- with more interviews/announcements -- is coming up fast...
They can't make T6 the same way they made the tiers before it... So many people have spent so much time and money on T5 ships and Vice Admiral-level gear (Ironically, the only real money I spent was on T4 - A D'Kyr!) that I get the sense that massive ragequits would ensue. I'd have to assume that whatever they're doing, it's... Different.

I can see them adding some kind of T5 - T6 upgrade option for existing C store ships via the fleet vendors.

Neverending grind is the name of the game now. A tier increase will just be something else to grind for, like the Reps, new crafting system, special events, etc.

I don't see them adding a tier, but rather a whole new rep or a companion rep. I think it was Geko that said the entire rep system is based on the five tiers and it would be a lot of work to retool it in order to add any future tiers.
In this episode of STOked Radio we welcome back Lead Designer Al "Captain Geko" Rivera and get a surprise visit from Co-Host Nikki.
All together we talk about season 9.5 release, the changes in the DOFF UI and the doff system and finally the tackle the crafting revamp now know as R & D.
This episode runs for a whoping 2 hours 53 minutes and includes parts not aired live on TrekRadio.Net
There was some talking a long time ago about the possibility to re-pack Lock-Box and Lobi ships.
I have some of those ships (Jem'Hadar, Tal Shiar, etc.) and I want to re-sell them to a Vendor or at the Exchange.

I can only remember from about a year ago, where a player posted that the last Info was that this function COULD be included in the game. I think it was Mr. Rivera or Mr. Stahl who got named.
This podcast has become a joke. I miss the old days with Chris and J man. The game was alot more fun in those days anyways. It was a more polished show too. Yeah and Al going over there is no big surprise either. And i'll say this if your a dev and proud of your game then why wouldn't come to the game boards and face your community? And to some of you who say the boards are toxic and the devs shouldn't come here, You are the games biggest problem by kissing the devs butts and just saying i understand and yes sir to them with every choice they make. If this game didn't have the f2p option it would have shut down a long time ago. The only place where people say good things about this game is here. And thats a big problem. But PW is a big company and will keep the game up as long as players keep opening lockboxes.
From a business perspective, Cryptic/PWE might be open to reboxing lockbox and Lobi ships within the same account -- or just allowing account-wide access of these ships. But presumably NOT open to allowing reboxing on opened ships for sale to vendors/Exchange.
To be blunt, I honestly cannot imagine Cryptic/PWE allowing account-wide access of those ships. If that occured, then what next? Having a fleet ship purchase which can be transferred account-wide? Cryptic/PWE sells fleet modules; that's a revenue stream.
And for that matter, so are lockboxes (and Lobi store) purchases.
Note: There are no threads or recordings online (that I found) where Cryptic staff has spoken to these points.
I wouldn't raise the topic unless you're digging for podcast materials to discuss.
Rather interesting don't you think, that PWE/Cryptic doesn't seem to be promoting this latest interview on their website (unlike the recent Priority One Podcast with the STO Community Manager). I wonder if someone from Cryptic/PWE marketing took a listen and decided that they really don't want this interview to be heard by potential new players: so they aren't going to make any effort to promote it themselves?

A few things I found interesting:
"We are working on a massive amount of ships for the upcoming expansion"
Sounds kind of like a new Faction?? Or an upgrade to T6 ships?
"A 5 fore gun Raptor like ship is coming to the KDF"
"Solo content that rewards Dilithium and Marks"
Xindi Insectoids have four limbs.
THERE ARE FOUR LIMBS!
Guess we will end up with two additional limbs ending in frickin' lazor cannons.
Right here dude.
Just skip to @40:00.

Are you guys *sure*?
I just tried both those links but neither work. Most likely a problem on my end but can someone else try those links real quick to check?
The little conspiracy theory part of my inner voice is having a tantrum right about now.
Second link worked just fine for me.
