    To be honest IDK. lol.

But i think not only the Galaxy needs a "good" representation in STO.
With a bit imagination (which i don't have right now :() the other two ships could be done somehow, storywise. Maybe some "time traveling" - "nexus" - "Captains table" magic. :D

Maybe i should have called the Box "Captains Table Legendary Ships LOCKBOX", or something like that.

JJverse. No, wait! Put the phaser down. Just hear me out.

The main prize would be a JJverse Constitution-class cruiser. Tier 5, so all the T5 Connie people are happy. And tier 5 makes sense because the JJverse Federation seems a lot more advanced than the prime Federation. It would also have access to a Sovereign-style skin so people don't have to go around in an AR ship if they don't want to.

Lobi ship would be the Dreadnought-class (U.S.S. Vengeance). Dreadnought cruiser, obviously. Able to mount dual cannons, detect cloaked ships, etc. Likewise has an era-appropriate skin.

Other lobi rewards would be AR stuff: phasers, uniforms, maybe a cybernetically-enhanced boff like 0718. And a Jellyfish shuttle.

Disclaimer: I'm fully aware that Cryptic can't use JJverse stuff. This is all purely hypothetical.

Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

All kidding aside, I would have them do a Pak'led box. Make the grand prize a garbage scow dreadnought that can equip any ship-specific console in perhaps two slots. Say a T'Varo torp console and the Bortas'qu auto cannon, for example. A couple commands similar to cruiser commands are in order too. "We are Strong" for a damage boost, "Make us go", for a boosted all power to engines, and "We are smart" for fooling the attacking ship into thinking your shields and hull are dropping, only to have you cripple their active crew and damage resistance for 10 seconds of your next attack.

A lobi ship could either be an escort variant of the above scow, or even branch off and going with an abandoned Husnock warship, Tamarian cruiser, or Miradorn raider (or escort class of same appearance).

It will also serve as a tongue-in-cheek acknowledgement of the complaints of some on the forums and in social areas' zone chat. Kind of a "So you want a Pak'led lock box? You got it!"

Except that 650 years in the future would put it in the 31st century when the temporal ships are from the 29th century!

Oh yes, I second this idea. I imagine a Xindi-Insectoid Battlecruiser, a Xindi-Arboreal (non-Dreadnought)Carrier, and a Xindi-Primate Science Vessel. Also, playable Mobulai Frigates as Raiders.

I addition, I wouldn't mind a Xindi-Avian Raptor. And keep in mind, only Xindi-Avian species are extinct, their tech presumably still exists.

PVP Lockbox. It could come with:

    • Those 'rose colored nostalgia glasses' like another popular mmo.
    • Box of tissues from the QQ continuum
    • Ships labelled 'tier5 constitution' and 'tier5 constellation' and tier5 nx' that are functionally and statistically no different than their originals.
    • Life size golden statue "ship decoration" depicting 2 monkeys punching each other.

Turning in 1000 of these lockboxes to a specific NPC unlocks the title 'Defiant' and completes an accolade called 'if PVP is dead then why am I still here?'

I don't have an idea for the "next" lockbox, but I do have an idea for what I would choose as the "last" lockbox before the game shuts down someday in the future. If I were in charge and knew that it was finally time to shutter STO for whatever reason, then a month before that date I'd release the PowerCreep Lockbox. Abilities and gear that instagib everything with names like "THE DOOMINATOR 5000" "CARNAGE MUTILATOR" "SPACE OGRE" and "HYPER-FRAPP-RAY ANNIHILATOR MK XX" in all caps with some Brawndo/PowerThirst/Torgue item descriptions. No more hiding behind false pretenses. Just an outright OP-to-the-max slaughterbox for funzies and trolling. This would also include a complete shift in all PR materials and community relations to similar Brawndo/PowerThirst/Torgue marketing bravado. Let the forums erupt and then shut it all down after a month.

If I were interested in lockboxes, I would like to see a Vulcan lockbox... then maybe we would have a very small chance of getting any more than the one Vulcan ship in the game.

Well since we've already filled out one area of the Alpha/Beta Quadrants, I do agree with the Sona lock box (with a Xindi sequel being my second choice but only after at least one more of a different flavor).

You've got two good looking ships (I don't think the collector should be used, seemed very job specific), subspace projectile weapons (which should be added as projectile weapons), at least one new costume, two new species of boff (those they conquered), and a good conceptual start on what the traits/mods would focus on. Plus you could always repurpose the content for a one-off FE exploring just what the hell happened to them after Insurrection.

Well, Al said something about Xindi lockbox 2 with the rest of the races and/or race's ships in it, so the only thing I say about that is Derga's ship, and don't mess it up. I looks perfect already, space sub with a big gun on the deck.

Besides that, well while we're dreaming, how about a lock box for each movie. Please note, most of these I'm kidding about.

The Star Trek Motion Picture lockbox.
    With Vulcan warp shuttle
Tier 5 Connie for any faction (because I can)
    old style space suit
    old style security armor
    Deltan bridge officer (sci probably)

    Wrath of Khan lockbox
Tier 5 Miranda for any faction (what, thought I was going to stop with the last one?)
    The Botany Bay
    TMP bridge pack
Special console you may kill any vulcan bridge officer to save your ship from certain destruction at no penalty.
    Engineering rad suits

    Search for Spock
Tier 5 B'real without enhanced battlecloak for any faction
That freighter that gets killed in the first five minutes.
    All the crew civie outfits
New tac module, boot to the head (only works over lava pit)

    The voyage home
Whale probe (yeah I went there)
    Spacedock shuttle
Whale ship only bridge officer. Can't go on away mission but can slot in ship slot.

    The final frontier
No ships (because what does God need with a starship)
Cat bridge officer from the bar (yeah, that one)
    ROCKET BOOTS!!!!!!!

    The undiscovered Country
    Federation space suits
    Federation hand phasers
"Dax" type boff (insert foot joke here)
Tier 5 D-7 for all factions

    Generations
Betazed boff, can switch between tac and sci skills, but if put in tac slot on ship will automatically activate ramming speed and crash your ship into the biggest non-ship object on the map.
(Eh I'm not coming up with much for this one)

    First Contact
Borg intuition universal kit slot for your captain that gives you one shot against the borg for massive damage in space
    Phoenix shuttle
Borg Sphere (eh, it'll happen sometime)

What was next, oh yeah, Insurrection
    Son'a battleship
    Son'a command ship
    Son'a boffs, male and female
    Son'a costumes
    Son'a drones
    Worf's cannon

    And Nemesis
    Lets see...
Android boff, only has one space and ground skill
Argo Off road vehicle can only be used on New Romulus
    Argo shuttle
Seat belt console, reduces all crew losses by 99% due to actual safety practices.

Like I said, I'm not being all that serious.

There would be a lot less power creep if only 1 new box were released per year, and that timed with some well-planned & well-executed story additions. In the 9 months I've been here, I've only opened 3 or 4 different types of boxes, and it loooks as though we will have a new expansion before I open another type.

If I had to choose, though, I would vote for a Borg box, simply because they are not going away, and they are always assimilating more stuff. That way, it can even be updated later with a full-on "win button" device...
Expendables Fleet: Andrew - Bajoran Fed Engineer Ken'taura - Rom/Fed Scientist Gwyllim - Human Fed Delta Tac

    Tzenkethi Lockbox.

Except for the fact that the Federation fought a war with them, we know nothing about them (I know the books have expanded on them quite a bit, but this game should not be limited by the books).

This means that Cryptic can "Go crazy" and let their creativity flow in this lockbox

I'd definitely like a Borg locked box.

I think the different locked boxes should only be available in the relevant parts of the galaxy map.

We haven't seen a Gorn locked box or Bajoran Orbs yet!

Or there's the FFC (Federation Fried Chicken) Locked box with the Admiral's fatty chicken, with chips, mashed potato & gravy (because having two potato products in the one meal is logical in the mirror universe); a sweet bun and 600mL of slug-o-cola, plus chicken latinum nuggets. Collect all the secret herbs and spices and craft your own specialty chicken. Also have Starfleet Medical on standby for a coronary bypass operation.

    I WANT KIRK'S ANTI-GORN LOG CANON - CRAFTABLE OF COURSE! :D

Meh... Vulcan, I guess? I'm happy with my D'kyr (plus it's the first and last money I'll spend on this game so I guess it doesn't matter, I HAVE to be satisfied I suppose), but I could use some better-looking ground weapons in the Vulcan style, and perhaps I could save up and get more cool traits or "Vulcan Stabilized Plasma Beam Arrays," if they aren't too expensive, off the exchange too.

I would love to see a Jem'hadar lockbox part two. My dream ship would be:

Grand Prize, Jem'hadar battle cruiser. With stats similar to the fleet Mogh or Fleet Avenger.
    http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Jem'Hadar_battle_cruiser

Will have a 5 forward 3 rear weapon setup, commander tactical lt.commander universal or engineer (a tactical battle cruiser rather than an engineer based such as the Mogh/Avenger), and probably a lt. science and engineer with the obligatory ensign tactical that messes up everyone's build.

Ship would do the bug console setup, 5 tac, 4 engi and 1 sci.

    One can only dream :)

Kazon! Of course it'd have those giant Kazon ships as eng focused full carriers, with not only 2 hangar bays but a comm array with weapon and shield commands. It would of course turn like a brick, but have 4/4 weapons.

    other stuff:
Kazon doffs, and maybe a few other Delta quadrant species

    Weapons:
a special phaser type with a chance to create a phasic instability. this chance is much greater when beam overload or CRF is used.

Also a special torpedo, trilithium enhanced Tricobalt. Similar to standard Tricobalt but with a bigger bang, and larger blast radius.

    Spiral Wave weapons

Borg Lock box, with Borg Tactical Cube ship in it for "prize ship", and "salvaged Borg Sphere" and "regular salvaged borg cube" from lobi store as the 800 lobi one, Probe Shuttle as the 300 one, and some mirror stuff ... lol

note: proof of borg study on spheres "quite a few found in game stories", and a few cubes would indeed state it is possible "with the right tech", rom/fed/kling can adapt these ships to be flown, romulan research has given way to some borg tech already.

the delta flyer was roughly the first true borg inspired tech not made by assimilated tech, and voyager already had a small handful of borg "leftovers" left inside it, so it is not unthinkable to conceive a "Borg Lock Box" and borg ships, at least one "liberated borg crew" was flying a sphere in voyager as individuals, soooo ... lol, i want a cube ... *puts on sad cute water eyes with sparkles* :D lol

ANTI-GORN LOG CANON=diamonds, cole, sulfer and ******rate, but we will be using 750 Plekton 500 isolinear chips, 250,000 XP, 10,000,000 EC and 75,000 Dilithium for it i bet ... with a fire rate of 45 second cooldown primary, and 5 minute secondary (%20 hit chance for each, %65 chance of double back draft ... lol)
