I actually like the Tal shiar lockbox very well so. I would like to see another set of assimilated ships in a new Lockbox. Maybe this time a Enterprise D fully assimilated and a assimilated Long range science vessel ( Voyager).
Special Console Assimilated Deflector cascade, Targetable 5 max. Voyager attacks the enemy with a Green phaser burst that Does 2,225 damage to Hull and shield for 20 secs. Every 2 secs damage is increased by 5%. If target is not destroyed their is a Radiation DOT put on the target that causes 995 damage per sec for 10 secs. (Radiation Dot cannot be cleansed, must be healed through).
LockBox also includes a Assimilated 8472 Boff similar to the one we saw in the Revamped episode of Assimilation.
Well this is My Lockbox. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Please, make it star trek related (No Millennium Falcon Lockboxes Please). Who knows maybe someone at Cryptic will see this and pick someone's Lockbox to be the next Lockbox.
I would like a repeat of each of the other lockboxes with (maybe) something else added. Some items are getting kinda rare and I think they would still sell well. I know we have the week that every lockbox drops, but that's not the point. They could redo each lockbox. Maybe add an extra ship, doff, trait because some of the older boxes don't have any mirror ships or traits. Just an idea.
Kazon/Trabe box would include the Kazon raider in the box and the Carrier in the lobi store.
Son'a would have the Son'a battle cruiser in the box and the command ship in the lobi store.
Kazon/Trabe carrier would have raider frigate pets, the raider ship itself would have a shield penetrating torpedo weapon that sorta works like boarding party.
The Son'a battle cruiser would come with a subspace weapon launcher. I know they are banned by canon but that didn't prevent Scimitars from using just as banned Thalaron radiation did it? So might as well roll with it.
No idea on the Son'a command ships powers though, can't remember if it displayed any special abilities in the movie.
As far as those ships types are concerned:
- Kazon/Trabe raider would be just that, 5/2 raider with flanking.
- Kazon/Trabe carrier would be an engineering heavy 6/6 carrier with subsystem targeting and 2 hangars.
- Son'a battle cruiser a 4/4 battle cruiser with 3 cruiser commands.
- Son'a command ship would either be a 4/3 destroyer or 3/3 science vessel.
aside from the fact your overpowering the ships..... the consoles alone dont make sense. then theres the stats... making them more powerful than their fleet variants.
Talarian Warship and it's variants, used for other races.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
Since we are destined to become more and more DQ stuff for months, maybe years to come... those would be my choices.
And if I had to chose anything? Well, I actually like the more obscure canon races and their ships. Many hate it that Cryptic puts in stuff that was only onscreen for one or two episodes, by I like them expanding on it.
Stuff I would also like to see are Sheliak and First Federation vessels. Cryptic can run wild with these.
I actually think Cryptic's ship designers are quite good when doing NON-Federation vessels.
I actually think Cryptic's ship designers are quite good when doing NON-Federation vessels.
probably becasue they do so many fed ships they are burning out their ideas.
as for the OP, if your really going for an "assimilated Ent-D" I'd personally keep the BO layout, as it's unique amongst it's kin. But i'd lower the shield mod to 1.15 so its jsut a little over fleet grade, and swap the consoles to a 4 eng, 3 tac, 3 sci, and give it a 7 turn rate, so its better than the fleet gal, but not as tactically oriented as the Gal-X console wise.
and since you specified the Ent-D itself.... that console is not fitting.
Universal Console - Technobabble: With being able to come up with any idea to overcome an obstical, this console will produce 1 of 3 different effects upon activation. The first would be to boost ALL powerlevels to max for 20 seconds. the Second would be to increase hull/shield resistances to max for 20 seconds, the third would be to fully heal the shields and hull and make it immune to damage for 5 seconds. Cooldown 5 minutes.
NO NEW LOCKBOXES - but I would revisit the old ones and bring them up to scratch with current boxes.
For example the next box would be a revamp of the Cardassian Lockbox.
The galor would still be the grand prize, but a keldon battleship dreadnought would be the lobi ship added along with new traits, new kits/kit modules, and all the other things added to the loot tables and perhaps a lobi equipment set/shuttle.
The box after that would a revamp of the Ferengi box, again with a lobi ship added and other bits and pieces.
In this way all of the older lockboxes will be updated, and they would run on a rotation with no need for the free-for-all drop event at the end of each lockbox run. Once we have caught up back to the more modern boxes Cryptic can add other prizes to the boxes: 2ndary deflectors, other things to do with new systems that haven't yet been developed.
This is just how I would do it as we don't need more ships. We have enough.
If I were thinking pure earning potential, I would propose the Legends lockbox!
In it would be:
- For the Feds, the Typhoon battleship
- For the KDF, the K'Vort
- For the Romulans...I dunno, don't touch the Rommies so not sure what ship is asked for over and over. Probably pure science carrier or something? But you get the idea.
On the other hand, if I were thinking of only myself, it would be a Son'a lockbox.
So:
- Ru'afo's Flagship (which bares a resemblance to that new Xindi escort)
- Son'a Battlecruiser
And for good measure, some highly illegal subspace weaponry consoles. Probably a torpedo and a mine, something like that. You could probably chuck in more fluff too. A few Doffs, a uniform, ground weaponry.
Son'a seems like an obvious choice, though I'm not sure if we've got time for another lockbox prior to Expansion 2 and all the Delta Quadrant themed stuff we'll get there.
Would love to see a stand-alone Feature Episode to go with a Son'a box too...

Save releasing more ships from Delta Quadrant species (to go alongside the Hirogen) the next logical step for Cryptic has got to be the Son'a. No?
The Son'a Battleship for the main Lock Box Reward
Ru'afo's flagship (which I'd think of as a Cruiser?) for the Lob Store Purchase
The Son'a Collector (minus the sails) can be released as a science-orientated carrier with Son'a Fighter Pets; and released similar to how the Voth Bulwark was.
Throw in a liberated Tarlac/Ellora Bridge Officer (Tarlac Male, Ellora Female?), along with some form of subspace weaponry and you've got yourself a nice little lock box.
Sona Combat Cruiser (Ru'afo's Ship)
4/4 Weapons
4/3/3 Consoles (TAC/ENG/SCI)
Cmd Tac; Lt.Cmd Sci; Lt. Eng; Lt. Uni; Ens. Uni
Son'a Command Carrier (that big hulk of a ship, though now retrofitted)
3/3 Weapons
2/3/5 Consoles (TAC/ENG/SCI)
Cmd Sci; Lt.Cmd Eng; Lt.Cmd Uni; Lt Tac
Includes Hanger (x2) w/ Son'a Fighters (optional)
Lobi Bridge Officers would include a Male Tarlac Engineering Officer and a Female Ellora Science Officer; both fully customizable with their own attire; think of them as Liberated from the Son'a?
I suppose like others I wouldn't mind seeing a Son'a lock box.
I once had some ideas for a Mirror Universe based lock box, trouble is it would conflict and make several vessels, including a c-store vessel or two obsolete.
The Grand prize can be a Mirror Gal-X/Negh'var(Maybe larger than normal and a bit beefier to explain the lower turn rate)/D'Deridex. Fed and KDF ones have a slight higher hull since they would only have standard cloak over the D'D's BC...would have a Phaser/Disruptor/Plasma Lance
Cmdr Eng/Lt Cmdr Tac/Lt Sci/Lt Tac or maybe Uni/Ens Uni
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
"...'With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured...the first thought forbidden...the first freedom denied--chains us all irrevocably.' ... The first time any man's freedom is trodden on, we're all damaged. I fear that today--"
- (TNG) Picard, quoting Judge Aaron Satie
Id be happy with one lockbox release that ran the length of a normal lockbox release that featured all of the old lockboxes updated and dropping again. Still shooting for my JHEC and it would be nice to get some saleable or more useful shinies in the inevitable event that I fail to drop the ship.
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".
Everytime you open it you get a recording of Captain Geko berating you for not liking something in the game.
Though he implied that sentiment during his interview on STOKED RADIO, Gecko never actually used the words that you are going from thread to thread attempting to attribute to him. While I didn't like the tone or implications during the interview, at least let's not be all hyperbolic and try and get people to believe outright lies about what he said.
Man did a good enough job digging his own hole of total disrespect for the playerbase.
No need to lie about what he said to make that interview look bad.
The Mirror Universe Defiant was built by schematics stolen by Smiley from the Prime Universe. The two ships should be identical.
Yesterday's Enterprise-D? No complaints.
The backup copy of the Doctor who knows about the Warship Voyager and eventually tries to make his way back to the Alpha Quadrant won't even be activated for almost 650 more years. How is Quark's Lobi Consortium going to get their hands on the plans for it?

Thread to thread?
I suppose that does mean two threads.
Do try not to overestimate my reach throughout the fora. It isnt that long.

Are you sure?
Those arms of yours look terribly stretchy
Sorry.
I just feel like Gecko did a fine job of insulting the players on his own.
He never actually called us "whiney *****es" though.
He might as well have, but he was diplomatic enough to use nicer words to imply his insults to us.
Again. Sorry, Rinkster, you just seem to have really stretchy arms :P
EDIT : Or maybe it's because I'm seeing the same threads you are posting in because I was offended by the interview.

not sure yet what my guess is on the next lockbox, need some details of the expansion first.
Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

This time, focusing on Arboreals, Insectoids, and Primates.
With mucho kickass shipero.
I think you'll get that anyways.
After that, DQ themed lockbox is coming. Perhaps Krenim.
After that? I would really like those. Benthan patrol ships.
Maybe with coaxial warp drive.
The Devore warship is quite nice, too.
