I guess the dev were working so hard on the new c#@p crafting system that they could not be bothered with a bridge that most pp would visit once.

While I wholeheartedly agree with your analysis of the new crafting system (and doffing UI), the reply I was given makes sense:

    a) There is no environment for the new crafting system at this stage, not even the old environment.
    b) A Risian Bridge would be an environment, which would require an environment artist.
    c) The environment artist was/is not working on the new crafting system (because there is no environment to work on); there is something other than that in the works, namely X2.

So no, we did not miss out on a functional bridge for our Luxury Cruiser because of the new crafting system. What is being done en lieu of the bridge we wanted may or may not be something we as players appreciate as a better investment of time and effort... but at least it's not the new crafting system.

Thus my clear admission that asking about the crafting system being the [REDACTED] we're getting instead of the Luxury Cruiser bridge was silly.

Heh, even then the bridge would still be more used than that crafting.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

Will you have anything to do with X3 and Founders being able to take the form of playable tables and couches that Smirk was not talking about? ;)

    Huh?

Will you be renovating the Memory Alpha map?

    Not that I know of.

This year's Risa event environment work was done at the same time I was working on ESD. If there were going to be a bridge, it would have been done back then, and we were all pretty busy between the actual Risa map and ESD. The Design team was working on Crafting, which did not require any env work, hence we had very different things to work on.

Why don't you throw some Risa Environment Assets in The Foundry. Have players compete in a contest to create Risian Bridges.

Then copy-n-paste the winner's bridge map to the Risa Ships. Done and done.

That not only would be great but is sort of an awesome idea... Almost disturbing to have the players developing the game but do what you have to right? Basically Cryptic could do touch ups to the design and make it work.

Hey they did it for costumes in Champs and got us one of the coolest sets yet.

    snip-
The best we can hope for is some Dev decides that they would spend their off-time at work making one. For that to happen, you have to get the entire Dev team to agree that the Risian Luxury Liner should have it's own bridge/interior. I think it was crypticquak who said that there is disagreement within the Dev team about it.

http://youtu.be/AfmJOsZ4PHQ?t=1m18s <--hey Tacofangs, plz tell me it doesnt look like this in the office ^^

As long as its added at some point this year, that would be acceptable. But dont cancel it entirely. Think of the fans....especially the Caitian ones!!

Or better yet, offer a bridge pack of the top few choices. The players ideas selected could get a dil bonus or something, it would be a great finally to the event this year.

Strings of lights, a minibar and vendor. A dance floor, taylor, dabo...restaurant area with music and lights. The bridge like in that fiction i wrote having a bird stand near the captains chair...and dont forget the trophy stands, a number of em in the recreation area

EDIT: the 5th element luxury ship interior maybe??

Not a good idea at all, we can't make a custom map, we can only base it on an existing map. Unless you could make a completely optimized Risian bridge map without any tricks like most Foundry authors do, they would never be put ingame.

It might seem like a good idea to anyone who doesn't recall the "Design the next Enterprise" contest, all that happened with/around it, and why it was the last time that was done. (Timeframe? "the next Enterprise" in question became the Odyssey.)

I'm pretty sure they've said that making foundry maps into regular maps isn't that easy.

    I could be wrong.

After the forum "outrage" over every little aspect of the "Design the next Enterprise" contest, I can assure you this will never happen.
