The last canon film was Star Trek Nemesis. Romulus was not destroyed in Star Trek Nemesis.
In the books (soft canon) Romulans split into two factions after the events of Nemesis: The Romulan Empire, which is ruled by Praetor Tal Aura from Romulus and the Imperial Romulan State which is ruled by Empress Donatra from the planet Achernar Prime.
Romulus is not destroyed in either prime or soft canon. ONLY in the JJ verse is Romulus destroyed.
you need to look up on what CBS says is canon before you go calling some one right out wrong

I don't care what CBS says is canon. I only care about what the creators of the real Star Trek say is canon. The destruction of Romulus happens in Star Trek Countdown is a supplementary prequel to JJ Ambrams rebooted star trek.
I don't care what Fat Cat Executives say to get you to go and see their films.

The books are not canon. CBS makes the canon; and it was CBS who decided they wished Romulus destroyed in their Prime Universe. This was then carried over into the JJverse as part of the underlying plot.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
omg that happen in the prime universe in witch STO is set in.... not in JJ alternate universe
It was the setup for the jar jar movie. It was written for (so, if at all, "happened" for) the jar jar movie only. Which shows again that this is not a real reboot. This is clearly a jar jar universe influence.
IMO it also shows once more jar jars disrespect for the franchise, destroying one of the major trek worlds offscreen for a cheap villain background he doesn't even try to build upon....

Well partly wrong.
The destruction of romulus happens way later, long after where the novels are right now. So it does not contradict the so called "soft canon"'novel verse. It might still happen there.
Also I hate it, but it's canon. Jar jar TRIBBLE was onscreen, it was clearly referenced there, so despite the countdown comic not beeing canon, the destruction of romulus is.
dont take me wrong i do not like Romulus getting JJ nuked no more then the next romulan fan but CBS says it happen and till they let out a new show saying other Romulus it is gone

Well. Canon effectively ends at Nemesis for me. And that's how it will stay. STO is fun, but - to me - will never be canon.

STO is not canon either - the Devs have said as much, themselves. STO is simply one more piece of soft canon - just like all the novels, other video games, other paper games, etc.
