Look people the reputation trait creep or blaming pvpers for nerfs has nothing to do with the decisions cryptic made to change the game. Nothing. It was all done to try and make it easier for new players so they can get dat mooneeyyy. Money, Money, Money thats it in a nut shell. Its all about the money.

Sad that such a small group (pvp players) get everything nerfed. They must whine really loud.

Sadly the numbers are getting smaller and smaller as many vets have left/are leaving the game due to things not getting fixed or "nerfed" enough.

PvP players just make noise because they feel the effects of broken/power creeping spam from a negative perspective - the AI controlled NPC's don't tend to complain a lot when they get aux to bat - beam fire at will Scimitars blowing them up in 3 seconds.

The game was not designed properly for PvP - like the KDF - it was kind of like an after thought that Cryptic through in at last minute.

But make no mistake - players blowing through Infected space elite in 1 minute when 2 years ago a good team took 5-7 minutes minimum - did have some effects on game nerfs.

But as long as Cryptic keeps selling power creep - the situation will never improve - just a cycle:

sell more power creep > nerf > sell more power creep >nerf - etc etc

PVP players should be water boarded and tickled at the same time on a Klingon vessel for these nerfs

pvp'ers is all p2w, bug ships, most rare consoles you will find, the most up-to-date weapons and abilities one can get, the smallest most expensive tweak open to find that little extra. it maybe either a realistic view on these elitists, or its a sterotype and the PvPer's may not be responsible at all and used as a scapegoat. the PvP community hardly gets noticed, thats abundantly evident by the lack of PvP upgrade from that pre-historic... thing.

I tend to think some common sense prevailed, or at least tried to and maybe from the dev team? to try and level out the power creep issue which so many people complain about, ironically the PvE community complains about it, either directly or indirectly like for example missions are no challenge, or some ships are just too powerful.. so on. i think this is probably where the whole nerf came into it rather then just PvPer's trying to making some noise.

there is only one reasonable answer, a proper nerf to the correct areas, this includes unpopular choices.

as for the jem'hadar quote, "We are dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This, we do gladly, for we are Jem'Hadar. Remember - victory is life."

This time it was the Borg set bonus hull heal!!

Every nerf in this game was due to a PvP player complaints!!

    Rep nerf = PvP players

Black goo console = PvP players

    Valdore console = PvP players

You name it - X was nerfed because of PvP players!!

Even the last Dilithium nerf was due to PvP players!!

Damn them I liked my extra dilithium - why PvP players did you have it nerfed:mad:

    /sarcasm

On a more serious note - if PvP players have sooo much influence in the game - how come they can't get a decent balance pass done??

-maybe like diminishing returns on stacking : doffs/captain traits/Boff traits

    -Bfaw

    -power overcapping

    Come on get nerfing!!

^ talk about crying, and a complete idiot.

    1. If your only pve Why would u care? I mean seriously u can pretty much beat everything in the game on elite with run of the mill equipment without breaking a sweat.

    2. If you pvp any your a pvp so your a hipacrit

    and finally...

    3. I believe your a pvper who thinks his build just got screwed, so why don't u come on over and take this piece of cheese with all that whine.

    Nerf is OP, plz nerf
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

I call it, the Stoutes paradox.

I find it utterly amazing how many people don't actually read people's posts in their entirety. Did humans have better attention spans at one point before the Internet?

It makes me really sad that so many can mistake this thread for something other than a joke. :(

Can we please read more books people? Maybe go to a library once and a while? Our general attention span is unacceptably short, and if aliens visited Earth, I'd hate for them to have to see what technology has done to us.

Stop watching cat videos and read an encyclopedia, or we are all doomed.

PvP players are more skilled than PvE players; therefore, they have a way greater influence. Actually, it's PvE heroes that should stop complaining over something they can't get around... I'd say 102% of game mechanics they won't understand.

these are stuff games, not skill games.

thats why pvp doesnt exist in STO, because you can't pvp to get people's stuff

The PvP you speak of wouldn't be that great, since everyone would find the most cost efficient, trashiest build and run that exclusively.

Turning PvP into "trashy farming simulator 2015" isn't the solution IMO.

Sure the rewards could be a lot better than they are now, but that kind of draconian, merciless PvP is reserved for masochists, which I guarantee is not a large population of players. Hell, you don't even lose your items in DARK SOULS!

I don't want to come home from work, pull out my sovereign and PvP a bit to cool off, and suddenly lose my ship and weapons because my team was terrible or the enemy team was too good. That would make me not only hate my teammates, but PvP as well. I would simply quit PvP entirely, or play another game.

And as for the "toughen up cupcake" line that is inevitably going to fall, I already do enough of that in real life. I don't need a game to stress me out and create more turmoil than what already exists.

There is no PvP without looting.

Two people shooting one another with squirt guns while crying isn't PvP.

PvP is about winning and taking something away from the loser, so he has lost something and you've gained it, so his property is now your property.

No, what you talk of is WAR.

Snowball fights and squirt guns are what is considered PvP in real life mate.

As far as your idea of fun goes though, I don't see why they can't implement an extra "hardcore" solo/team PvP queue where the winning team takes the loser's items at the end.

I certainly wouldn't play it, but at least I know that you would and perhaps it would attract more players.

And the two sides in this game are AT WAR.

Not any more, not after the last featured episode, although I do wish that was reflected more in the world as a whole.

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.

Big havana's were lit and white cats being stroked on TS the other day.

The reason for this meeting was to discuss the upcoming content, that a Dev who doesn't frequent the forums and only pews incognito shared with a few selected pvp'ers. It looks amazing. Just brace for impact if you thought S9 was a pvp nerf fest, you haven't seen nothing yet....*muhahahah*.
i m too tired to somehow write the iluminati in there, someone have a go at it
